In situ generation of oxyanions-decorated cobalt(nickel)oxyhydroxide catalyst with high corrosion resistance for stable and efficient seawater oxidation

The development of efficient and robust anode materials for stable alkaline seawater electrolysis is severely limited by chlorine evolution reaction and chloride ***,the sulfur-doped cobalt-nickel bimetallic phosphides(CoNiPS)are specifically designed as a pre-catalyst for navigating a surface reconstruction to fabricate the anions(PO^(3-)_(4) and SO^(2-)_(4))-decorated Co(Ni)OOH catalyst(R-CoNiPS)with exceptional durability and high activity for stable alkaline seawater oxidation(ASO).Various experiment techniques together with theoretical simulations both demonstrate that the in situ-generated PO^(3-)_(4) and SO^(2-)_(4) anions on catalyst surface can improve the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)activity,regulating and stabilizing the catalytic active species Co(Ni)OOH,as well as make a critical role in inhibiting the adsorp-tion of chloride ions and extending the service life of ***,this R-CoNiPS electrode exhi-bits superb OER activity toward AsO and stands out among the non-precious ASO electrocatalysts reported recently,requiring low overpotentials of 420 and 440 mV to attain large current densities of 500 and 1000 mA cm^(-2) in an alkaline natural seawater electrolyte,***,the catalyst displays a negligible chloride corrosion at room temperature during ASO operation(>200 h)at 500 mA cm^(-2).This work opens up a new viewpoint for designing high-activity and durable electrocata-lystsforseawaterelectrolysis.

Pretreatment platelet count improves the prognostic performance of the TNM staging system and aids in planning therapeutic regimens for nasopharyngeal carcinoma:a singleinstitutional study of 2,626 patients

Introduction:Thrombocytosis has been identified as an unfavorable prognostic factor in several types of *** study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of pretreatment platelet count in association with the TNM staging system and therapeutic regimens in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods:A total of 2,626 patients with NPC were retrospectively *** count >300 × 10~9/L was defined as ***-pair analysis was performed between patients receiving chemoradiotherapy and ***:Multivariate analysis showed that platelet count was an independent unfavorable prognostic factor for overall survival(OS)[hazard ratio(HR) = 1.810,95%confidence interval(CI) = 1.531-2.140,P < 0.001]and distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS)(HR = 1.873,95%CI = 1.475-2.379,P < 0.001) in the entire patient *** subgroup analysis revealed that increased platelet count was an independent unfavorable prognostic factor for OS and DMFS in patients with NPC stratified by early and advanced T category,N category,or TNM classification(all P < 0.001).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves verified that the predictive value of TNM classification for OS was improved when combined with pretreatment platelet count(P = 0.030).Matched-pair analysis showed that chemoradiotherapy significantly improved OS only in advanced-stage NPC with thrombocytosis(HR = 0.416,95%CI = 0.226-0.765,P = 0.005).Conclusions:Pretreatment platelet count,when combined with TNM classification,is a useful indicator for metastasis and survival in patients with *** may improve the predictive value of the TNM classification and help to identify patients likely to benefit from more aggressive therapeutic regimens.

The selective electrochemical conversion of glycerol into value-added products is a green and sustainable strategy for the biomass *** this work,Au nanowires(Au-NW)modified with polyethyleneimine(pei)molecule(Au-NW@pei)is obtained by an up-bottom post-modification *** characterization,molecular dynamics simulation and density functional theory demonstrate that the loose-packed pei monolayer firmly and uniformly distribute on the Au-NW surface due to the strong Au-N *** experiments and product analysis display that pei modification significantly enhance the electro-activity of Au-NW for the glycerol electro-oxidation reaction(GEOR)due to the electronic ***,the steric hindrance and electrostatic effect of pei layer make the optimizing adsorption of intermediates ***,the selectivity of C3 product glyceric acid over Au-NW@pei is increased by nearly 20%.The work thus indicates that the rational design of metal-organic interface can effectively elevate the electro-activity and selectivity of Au nanostructures,which may have wide application in biomass development.

1 BACKGROUND Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a unique head and neck malignancy prevalent in East Asia[1].It is highly malignant,with the non-keratinizing pathological subtype constituting approximately 95%of NPC cases in endemic *** in combination with radiotherapy is recommended for locoregionally advanced NPC(LANPC),especially in subgroups at higher risk of distant metastasis(e.g.,N2-3 vs.N0-1 diseases,high *** plasma Epstein-Barr virus[EBV]DNA copy number)[2,3].Concurrent chemoradiotherapy with or without induction chemotherapy is considered the backbone of the current chemoradiotherapy strategies for NPC[2,3].Nevertheless,although complete clinical remission could be achieved in more than 90%of patients after definitive chemoradiotherapy,about 20%-30%of patients will have disease recurrence subsequently[4,5],which might be caused minimal residual disease(MRD),either at locoregional or distant sites[6,7].Thus,adjuvant therapy is needed to improve tumor control.

Micro defects formation and dynamic response analysis of steel plate of quasi-cracking area subjected to explosive load

As the protective component,steel plate had attracted extensive attention because of frequently threats of explosive *** this paper,the evolution of microstructure and the mechanism of damage in the quasi-cracking area of steel plate subjected to explosive load were discussed and the relationships between micro defects and dynamic mechanical response were *** the explosion experiment,five observation points were selected equidistant from the quasi-cracking area of the section of the steel plate along the thickness direction,and the characteristics of micro defects at the observation points were analyzed by optical microscope(OM),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The observation result shows that many slip bands(SBs) appeared,and the grain orientation changed obviously in the steel plate,the two were the main damage types of micro *** addition,cracks,peeling pits,grooves and other lager micro defects were appeared in the lower area of the *** stress parameters of the observation points were obtained through an effective numerical *** mechanism of damage generation and crack propagation in the quasicracking area were clarified by comparing the specific impulse of each observation point with the corresponding micro *** result shows that the generation and expansion of micro defects are related to the stress area(*** upper compression area,the neutral plane area,and the lower tension area).The micro defects gather and expand at the grain boundary,and will become macroscopic damage under the continuous action of tensile ***,the micro defects at the midpoint of the section of the steel plate in the direction away from the explosion center(*** horizontal direction) were also *** was found that the specific impulse at these positions were much smaller than that in the thickness direction,the micro defects were only SBs and a few micro cracks,and the those decrea

The specification includes definition, operating process, points for attention and contraindications. It is targeted to provide reference for TCM providers at home and abroad with TCM background in clinical decision-making.

Molecular quantification of herbs(Herb-Q):a pyrosequencingbased approach and its application in Pinellia ternata
