Obesity-induced inflammation,characterized by augmented infiltration and altered balance of macrophages,is a critical component of systemic insulin resistance.Chemokine-chemokine receptor system plays a vital role in the macrophages accumulation.CC-Chemokine Receptor-like 2(Ccrl2)is one of the receptors of Chemerin,which is a member of atypical chemokine receptors(ACKR)family,reported taking part in host immune responses and inflammation-related conditions.In our study,we found ccrl2 expression significantly elevated in visceral adipose tissue(VAT)of high fat diet(HFD)induced obese mice and ob/ob mice.Systemic deletion of Ccrl2 gene aggravated HFD induced obesity and insulin resistance and ccrl2−/−mice showed aggravated VAT inflammation and increased M1/M2 macrophages ratio,which is due to the increase of macrophages chemotaxis in Ccrl2 deficiency mice.Cumulatively,these results indicate that Ccrl2 has a critical function in obesity and obesity-induced insulin resistance via mediating macrophages chemotaxis.

Uniform and well-aligned organic semiconductor single crystals(OSSCs)are critical for high-performance electronic and optoelectronic device applications due to their long-range order and low defect density.However,it is still challenging to fabricate uniform and well-aligned OSSCs by an efficient and facile method.Here,we report a vapor-induced coating method to prepare uniform organic semiconductor stripe single crystals with well-aligned orientation.The coating velocity and solution concentration are important to control the stripe crystals’morphology,which influence the triple-phase contact line dewetting behavior and then change the mass transport of the meniscus.Insufficient solute supply causes the generation of dendritic crystals.Uniform stripe single crystals of high quality and pure orientation are prepared in the condition of a sufficient and suitable solute supply.Moreover,the electronic and optoelectronic properties are evaluated.Notably,the polarization-sensitive photodetectors based on the uniform stripe crystals exhibit high polarization sensitivity and its dichroic ratio of photocurrent is 1.98.This method is efficient for the preparation of various high-quality and uniform organic semiconductor stripe single crystals,opening an opportunity for high-performance organic functional devices.

Comprehensive SummaryThe detection of critical endogenous species, such as bacteria in microenvironments in the body, requires better imaging tools for visualization and monitoring of biological events. Bioluminescence imaging is the most popular strategy for obtaining real-time in living cells and organisms. Herein, we introduced a nitroaryl group on the C-3 position and a hydroxy group at the C-6 phenyl ring on furimazine to report the first bioluminescent probe (7) based on NanoLuc-furimazine bioluminescent pair for the detection of nitroreductase in bacteria. The probe, which possessed up to 560-fold intensity increase with a low detection limit of 16 ng/mL of nitroreductase, has the most efficient uncage efficiency in comparison with other bioluminescent congeners, thus enabling highly selective and sensitive visualization of NTR activity in a panel of clinical priority pathogens. Additionally, imaging of the recombinant strain as well as the NTR from mouse feces indicated the potential of this probe in the application of different mouse disease models.

This paper reported the impedance-type humidity sensor based on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)nanomaterials which was fabricated on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrate.The scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)measurements were used to demonstrate the successful synthesis and combination of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and g-C_(3)N_(4)nanomaterials.The performance of the humidity sensor was tested at room temperature.The experimental results showed that the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)nanosheets with g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets endowed the humidity sensor with an ultra-high response,rapid response/recovery time,and negligible hysteresis.The complex impedance spectroscopy(CIS)and bode diagrams were used to further analyze the sensing mechanism of the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)humidity sensor.The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)humidity sensor can monitor skin humidity and high-humidity alarm,which demonstrates great potential applications in various fields.

Objective:Biallelic mutations in the RecQ like helicase(RECQL)4 gene,a guardian of the genome,cause Rothmund-Thomson syndrome type II(RTS-II).Two Chinese girls with mild-phenotype RTS-II mainly restricted to their skin are herein described.Methods:Blood specimens from two families with mild-phenotype RTS-II were collected.DNA isolation,RNA isolation and complementary DNA synthesis,and next-generation sequencing using a multi-gene panel were applied to verify the underlying pathogenic variants in the causativeRECQL4 gene.Results:We analyzed two patients with mild phenotypes.One patient had an unreported paternal c.2885+1G>A alteration in intervening sequence 16 and the previously reported maternal exon 14 c.2272C>T(p.R758X),both resulting in premature termination codons.The other patient carried two novel alterations,c.2886-1G>A and c.2752G>T(p.E918X).Complementary DNA sequencing showed that different splice-site mutations within the same intron could lead to completely different splicing modes.Conclusion:We identified three novel pathogenicRECQL4 variants in two patients with RTS,thus expanding the mutational spectrum of RTS-II.We also explored their pathogenic effect by transcripts analysis to address genotype-phenotype correlations.

As a new type of green battery system,aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） have gradually become a research hotspot due to their low cost,high safety,excellent stability,high theoretical capacity(820 mAh·g-1) of zinc anode,and low redox potential(-0.76 V vs.standard hydrogen electrode（SHE）).AZIBs have been expected to be an alternative to lithium-ion batteries for large-scale commercial energy storage applications.Unfortunately,they are facing thorny issues such as degradation of cycling performance,zinc dendrites,and side reactions.At the same time,these problems cause short cycling life of batteries,thus severely limiting their commercial application.In recent years,many more researches have been conducted on the modification of anode and cathode materials of AZIBs,but there is a lack of in-depth discussion on the characteristics and mechanism of electrolyte additives.In this review,we will make a systematic summary of the current problems with two electrodes in AZIBs,as well as the types and functions of electrolyte additives.Moreover,we further systematically describe the modulation mechanism of electrolyte additives in the performance of the cathode and anode.The prospects and development directions of additive modulation strategies for AZIBs electrolytes are prospected.

DNA damage occurs across tumorigenesis and tumor development.Tumor intrinsic DNA damage can not only increase the risk of mutations responsible for tumor generation but also initiate a cellular stress response to orchestrate the tumor immune microenvironment(TIME)and dominate tumor progression.Accumulating evidence documents that multiple signaling pathways,including cyclic GMP-AMP synthase-stimulator of interferon genes(cGAS-STING)and ataxia telangiectasia-mutated protein/ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related protein(ATM/ATR),are activated downstream of DNA damage and they are associated with the secretion of diverse cytokines.These cytokines possess multifaced functions in the anti-tumor immune response.Thus,it is necessary to deeply interpret the complex TIME reshaped by damaged DNA and tumor-derived cytokines,critical for the development of effective tumor therapies.This manuscript comprehensively reviews the relationship between the DNA damage response and related cytokines in tumors and depicts the dual immunoregulatory roles of these cytokines.We also summarize clinical trials targeting signaling pathways and cytokines associated with DNA damage and provide future perspectives on emerging technologies.

Effect of mold and core preheating temperature on corrosion resistance of casting Al-12Si alloy U-shaped cooling channel

Temperature has an important impact on the corrosion resistance of mold with cooling channels prepared by casting method.The effect of preheating temperature of the mold and the carbon fiber core on the roughness and corrosion resistance of U-shaped cooling channels made of Al-12Si alloy was examined in depth.The experimental results suggest that as the preheating temperature increased from 273 K to 573 K,the roughness of the inner wall of the cooling channel reduced from 96.6μm to 77.0μm.When the preheating temperature continued to increase to 723 K,the roughness increased to 85.3μm.The wetting between the Al melt and the carbon fiber will reduce micro bubbles and waves on the channel wall as the preheating temperature rises,thereby reducing the roughness.However,with the further increase of preheating temperature,it will increase the solidification time of the Al melt.At this time,the carbon fiber and Al melt will take more time to react,which increases the roughness of the channel wall to a certain extent.The results of exfoliation corrosion show that the larger roughness will aggravate exfoliation corrosion.The prolongation of high temperature reaction time between the carbon fiber and the Al melt will lead to the segregation of Si,which is easy to cause intergranular corrosion.Therefore,reasonable preheating temperature has an important impact on the roughness and corrosion resistance of U-shaped cooling channels.
