Existing microprocessor-controlled passive prosthetic knees(PaPKs)and active prosthetic knees(AcPKs)cannot truly simulate the muscle activity characteristics of the active–passive hybrid action of the knee during the normal gait.Differences in EMG between normal and different prosthetic gait for different phases were never separately analyzed.In this study,a novel hybrid active–passive prosthetic knee(HAPK)is proposed and if and how muscle activity and kinematics changes in different prosthetic gait are analyzed.The hybrid hydraulic-motor actuator is adopted to fully integrate the advantages of hydraulic compliance damping and motor efficiency,and the hierarchical control strategy is adopted to realize the adaptive predictive control of the HAPK.The kinematic data and EMG data of normal gait and different prosthetic gait were compared by experiments,so as to analyze the changes in the muscle activity and spatio-temporal data per phase compared to normal walking and the adaptations of amputees when walking with a different kind of prosthesis(the mechanical prosthesis(MePK),the PaPK and the HAPK).The results show that changes in prosthetic gait mainly consisted of decreased self-selected walking speed,gait symmetry and maximum knee flexion,increased first double support phase duration,muscle activation in both opposed and prosthetic limb and inter-subject variability.The differences between controls and MePK,PaPK and HAPK decreases sequentially.These results indicate that the hybrid active–passive actuating mode can have positive effects on improving the approximation of healthy gait characteristics.

DNA damage occurs across tumorigenesis and tumor development.Tumor intrinsic DNA damage can not only increase the risk of mutations responsible for tumor generation but also initiate a cellular stress response to orchestrate the tumor immune microenvironment(TIME)and dominate tumor progression.Accumulating evidence documents that multiple signaling pathways,including cyclic GMP-AMP synthase-stimulator of interferon genes(cGAS-STING)and ataxia telangiectasia-mutated protein/ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related protein(ATM/ATR),are activated downstream of DNA damage and they are associated with the secretion of diverse cytokines.These cytokines possess multifaced functions in the anti-tumor immune response.Thus,it is necessary to deeply interpret the complex TIME reshaped by damaged DNA and tumor-derived cytokines,critical for the development of effective tumor therapies.This manuscript comprehensively reviews the relationship between the DNA damage response and related cytokines in tumors and depicts the dual immunoregulatory roles of these cytokines.We also summarize clinical trials targeting signaling pathways and cytokines associated with DNA damage andprovide future perspectives on emerging technologies.

The whole angle mode gyroscope(WAMG)is considered to be the next generation architecture,but it is suffered from the asymmetry errors to conduct real products.This paper proposes a novel high frequency injection based approach for the error parameters online identification for the WAMG.The significance is that it can separate physical and error fingerprints to enable online calibration.The nonlinear WAMG dynamics are discretized to meet the requirement of numerical precision and computation efficiency.The optimized estimation methods are then constructed and compared to track asymmetry error parameters continuously.In the validation part,its results firstly prove that the proposed scheme can accurately identify constant asymmetry parameters with an overall tracking error of less than 1 ppm and the extreme numerical convergence can reach 10^(-12)ppm.Under the dynamic asymmetry variation condition,the root mean square errors(RMSE)indicate that the tracking accuracy can reach the level of10^(-3),which shows the robustness of the proposed scheme.In summary,the proposed method can effectively estimate the WAMG asymmetry errors online with satisfied performance and practical values.

Primary,secondary and tertiary amino-functionalized zirconia(ZrO_(2)-NH_(2),ZrO_(2)-NH and ZrO_(2)-N)was synthesized by the postgrafting method for the adsorption removal of typical metallic ions,phosphate and total oxidizable carbon from a real H_(2)O_(2)solution.ZrO_(2)-NH_(2),ZrO_(2)-NH and ZrO_(2)-N exhibited similar pore sizes and sequentially increased zeta potentials.The adsorption results of single and binary simulated solutions showed that the removal efficiency increased in the order of Fe^(3+)>Al^(3+)>Ca^(2+)>Na^(+).There is competitive adsorption between metallic ions,and Fe^(3+)has an advantage over the other metals,with a removal efficiency of 90.7%.The coexisting phosphate could promote the adsorption of metallic ions,while total oxidizable carbon had no effect on adsorption.The adsorption results of the real H_(2)O_(2)solution showed that ZrO_(2)-NH_(2)exhibited the best adsorption affinity for metallic ions,as did phosphate and total oxidizable carbon,with a total adsorption capacity of 120.9 mg·g_(-1).Density functional theory calculations revealed that the adsorption process of metallic ions involves electron transfer from N atoms to metals and the formation of N-metal bonds.

Integration testing is an integral part of software testing.Prior studies have focused on reducing test cost in integration test order generation.However,there are no studies concerning the testing priorities of critical classes when generating integration test orders.Such priorities greatly affect testing efficiency.In this study,we propose an effective strategy that considers both test cost and efficiency when generating test orders.According to a series of dynamic execution scenarios,the software is mapped into a multi-layer dynamic execution network(MDEN)model.By analyzing the dynamic structural complexity,an evaluation scheme is proposed to quantify the class testing priority with the defined class risk index.Cost–benefit analysis is used to perform cycle-breaking operations,satisfying two principles:assigning higher priorities to higher-risk classes and minimizing the total complexity of test stubs.We also present a strategy to evaluate the effectiveness of integration test order algorithms by calculating the reduction of software risk during their testing process.Experiment results show that our approach performs better across software of different scales,in comparison with the existing algorithms that aim only to minimize test cost.Finally,we implement a tool,ITOsolution,to help practitioners automatically generate test orders.

The gut microbiota is recognized as an endocrine organ with the capacity to influence distant organs and associated biological pathways.Recent advan-cements underscore the critical role of gut microbial homeostasis in female health;with dysbiosis potentially leading to diseases among women such as polycystic ovarian syndrome,endometriosis,breast cancer,cervical cancer,and ovarian cancer etc.Despite this,there has been limited discussion on the underlying mechanisms.This editorial explores the three potential mechanisms through which gut microbiota dysbiosis may impact the development of diseases among women,namely,the immune system,the gut microbiota-estrogen axis,and the metabolite pathway.We focused on approaches for treating diseases in women by addressing gut microbiota imbalances through probiotics,prebiotics supple-mentation,and fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT).Future studies should focus on determining the molecular mechanisms underlying associations between dysbiosis of gut microbiota and female diseases to realize precision medicine,with FMT emerging as a promising intervention.

In recent years,the advancement of artificial intelligence techniques has led to significant interest in reinforcement learning(RL)within the traffic and transportation community.Dynamic traffic control has emerged as a prominent application field for RL in traffic systems.This paper presents a comprehensive survey of RL studies in dynamic traffic control,addressing the challenges associated with implementing RL-based traffic control strategies in practice,and identifying promising directions for future research.The first part of this paper provides a comprehensive overview of existing studies on RL-based traffic control strategies,encompassing their model designs,training algorithms,and evaluation methods.It is found that only a few studies have isolated the training and testing environments while evaluating their RL controllers.Subsequently,we examine the challenges involved in implementing existing RL-based traffic control strategies.We investigate the learning costs associated with online RL methods and the transferability of offline RL methods through simulation experiments.The simulation results reveal that online training methods with random exploration suffer from high exploration and learning costs.Additionally,the performance of offline RL methods is highly reliant on the accuracy of the training simulator.These limitations hinder the practical implementation of existing RL-based traffic control strategies.The final part of this paper summarizes and discusses a few existing efforts which attempt to overcome these challenges.This review highlights a rising volume of studies dedicated to mitigating the limitations of RL strategies,with the specific aim of enhancing their practical implementation in recent years.

Background:The scale assessment was helpful in predicting the presence of antibodies to autoimmune encephalitis.This study aimed to evaluate the application of antibody prevalence in Chinese patients with epilepsy and encephalopathy(APE2-CHN)and response to immunotherapy in Chinese patients with epilepsy and encephalopathy(RITE2-CHN)for patients with different neuronal surface antibodies.Methods:A total of 1365 patients with epileptic seizures as the prominent feature in Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University,from June 2016 to June 2020 were enrolled in our study.Of these,915 patients with epilepsy of unknown etiology whose serum and/or cerebrospinal fluid samples were examined for autoimmune antibodies were selected.All patients were scored with antibody prevalence in patients with epilepsy and encephalopathy(APE2),response to immunotherapy with epilepsy and encephalopathy(RITE2),APE2-CHN,and RITE2-CHN scores.Results:Of the 915 patients,191 patients were positive for neural-surface specific antibodies(115 N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor(NMDAR)Ab,47 leucine-rich glioma-inactivated protein 1(LGI1)Ab,8 contactin-associated protein 2(CASPR2)Ab,4 AMPA2RAb,and 11 GABAR-B-Ab;3 CASPR2-Ab and LGI1-Ab,2 NMDAR-Ab and CASPR2-Ab,and 1 NMDAR-Ab and myelinoligodendrocyte glycoprotein[MOG]Ab).The sensitivity and specificity of APE2≥4 in predicting the presence of neural-surface specific antibodies in our study were 74.35%and 81.77%,respectively,and the sensitivity and specificity of APE2-CHN≥4 were 75.92%and 84.53%,respectively.Eight cases had an APE2 score<4 and APE2-CHN score≥5;all these patients had memory decline as the prominent manifestation.We divided the patients into six groups according to the different antibodies.APE2-CHN scores showed higher sensitivity for the prediction of NMDAR-Ab,but lower sensitivity for LGI1-Ab.A total of 187/191(97.91%)patients received immunotherapy and 142/191(74.35%)patients benefited from the treatments.The patients who were positive for LGI1-Ab with RITE2-CHN≥8 responded well to immuno

The development of highly efficient OER catalysts with superior durability for seawater electrolysis and Zn-air battery is important but challenging.Herein,the vacancy-modified heterostructured bimetallic Fe Mo S_(x)/Co Ni P_(x)OER electrocatalyst is exploited.Benefiting from the electron redistribution and reaction kinetics modulation resulting from vacancy introduction and heterojunction formation,it yields ultralow OER overpotentials of 196,276,303 m V in 1 M KOH and 197,318,348 m V in 1 M KOH+seawater at 10,500,1000 m A cm^(-2),respectively,surviving 600 h at 800 m A cm^(-2)without obvious decay.Further,FeMoS_(x)/CoNiP_(x)-based Zn-air battery not only affords the high peak power density of 214.5 m W cm^(-2)but also exhibits the small voltage gap of 0.698 V and long lifetime of 500 h at 10 m A cm^(-2),overmatching overwhelming majority of reported advanced catalysts.It is revealed experimentally that the OER process on rationally designed Fe Mo S_(x)/Co Ni P_(x)follows the adsorbate evolution mechanism and the ratedetermining step shifts from^(*)OOH formation in individual building blocks to^(*)OOH deprotonation process in FeMoS_(x)/CoNiP_(x),providing the directly proof of how the vacancy introduction and heterojunction formation affect the reaction kinetics.
