Effects of UV-A exposures on longevity and reproduction in Helicoverpa armigera, and on the development of its F1 generation

Helicoverpa armigera adults display a conspicuous positive phototactic behavior to light stimuli, and are especially sensitive to ultraviolet （UV） light. The effects of UV-A （longwave） exposures on adult longevity and reproduction in H. armigera were investigated, as well as the development of the Ft generation. Paired adults were exposed to UV-A for various time periods （0, 1, 5 and 9 h/day）, until the end of adult life. The results showed that adult longevity decreased with increasing exposure time for both sexes, and a significant decrease was observed after exposure for 5 and 9 h/day. Fecundity increased when adults were exposed for 1 and 5 h/day, and a significant difference was observed in the 5 h/day group. Oviposition rates of females in all treatments were significantly higher than in the control. Exposure to UV-A for longer periods （5 and 9 h/day） caused a decline in cumulative survival of F1 immature stages, but no significant differences were found in egg hatch, pupation and eclosion. The developmental periods of F1 larvae were significantly prolonged after exposure to UV-A for 5 and 9 h/day. UV-A radiation had no significant effects on F1 pupal period.

This paper reported the impedance-type humidity sensor based on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)nanomaterials which was fabricated on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET)*** scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)measurements were used to demonstrate the successful synthesis and combination of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and g-C_(3)N_(4)*** performance of the humidity sensor was tested at room *** experimental results showed that the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)nanosheets with g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets endowed the humidity sensor with an ultra-high response,rapid response/recovery time,and negligible *** complex impedance spectroscopy(CIS)and bode diagrams were used to further analyze the sensing mechanism of the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)humidity *** Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)humidity sensor can monitor skin humidity and high-humidity alarm,which demonstrates great potential applications in various fields.

Temperature has an important impact on the corrosion resistance of mold with cooling channels prepared by casting *** effect of preheating temperature of the mold and the carbon fiber core on the roughness and corrosion resistance of U-shaped cooling channels made of Al-12Si alloy was examined in *** experimental results suggest that as the preheating temperature increased from 273 K to 573 K,the roughness of the inner wall of the cooling channel reduced from 96.6μm to 77.0μ*** the preheating temperature continued to increase to 723 K,the roughness increased to 85.3μ*** wetting between the Al melt and the carbon fiber will reduce micro bubbles and waves on the channel wall as the preheating temperature rises,thereby reducing the ***,with the further increase of preheating temperature,it will increase the solidification time of the Al *** this time,the carbon fiber and Al melt will take more time to react,which increases the roughness of the channel wall to a certain *** results of exfoliation corrosion show that the larger roughness will aggravate exfoliation *** prolongation of high temperature reaction time between the carbon fiber and the Al melt will lead to the segregation of Si,which is easy to cause intergranular ***,reasonable preheating temperature has an important impact on the roughness and corrosion resistance of U-shaped cooling channels.

AIM:To investigate changes in macular vessels and thickness in myopic eyes after intraocular collamer lens(ICL)implantation using quantitative optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).METHODS:This retrospective included 73 myopic eyes of 73 patients(average age,27.53±6.16 y)who underwent ICL implantation(28 eyes were Toric ICL).Axial length(AL),uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),refractive dioptre(RD),intraocular pressure(IOP)and OCTA were measured and compared with before and 1 wk,1,and 3 mo after *** was used to image vessel density(VD)and skeleton density(SD)in both the superficial(SCP)and deep capillary plexus(DCP).Central retinal thickness(CRT)and ganglion cellinner plexiform layer thickness(GCT)were also *** between pre-and postoperative measurements were analysed by repeated measures analysis of ***:Compared with preoperative data,postoperative data on UCVA revealed significant improvements in all patients(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in *** the operation,CRT and GCT exhibited significant changes(P<0.05).Among these measures,CRT was significantly higher at one and three months postoperative(all P<0.01).GCT was significantly higher at 1 wk,1,and 3 mo postoperative(all P<0.01).Changes in VD and SD were nonsignificant in both the SCP and *** was no difference in postoperative changes between the ICL and Toric ICL ***:ICL and Toric ICL implantation both have good efficacy and safety for myopic eyes,but macular area changes that occur after surgery need attention.

Catalytic oxidation of soot is of great importance for emission control on diesel *** this work,a highly active Cs/Co/Ce-Sn catalyst was investigated for soot oxidation,and it was unexpectedly found that high-temperature calcination greatly improved the activity of the *** the calcination temperature was increased from 500℃ to 750℃,T_(50) decreased from 456.9℃ to 389.8℃ in a NO/O_(2)/H_(2)O/N_(2) *** results revealed that high-temperature calcination can promote the ability to transfer negative charge density from Cs to other metal cations in Cs/Co/Ce-Sn,which will facilitate the production of more oxygen defects and the generation of more surface-active oxygen *** oxygen species are beneficial to the oxidation of NO to NO_(2),leading to the high yield of NO_(2) ***,the Cs/Co/Ce-Sn catalyst calcined at 750℃ demonstrated higher activity than that calcined at 500℃.This work provides a pathway to prepare high efficiency catalysts for the removal of soot and significant insight into the effects of calcination on soot oxidation catalysts.

Herein,we report the dynamic kinetic resolution asymmetric acylation ofγ-hydroxy-γ-perfluoroalkyl butenolides/phthalides catalyzed by amino acid-derived bifunctional organocatalysts,and a series of ketals were obtained in high yields(up to 95%)and excellent enantioselectivities(up to 99%).In terms of synthetic utility,the reaction can be performed on a gram scale,and the product can be converted into potential biological nucleoside analog.
