Noether’s theorem is one of the fundamental laws in physics,relating the symmetry of a physical system to its constant of motion and conservation *** the other hand,there exist a variety of non-Hermitian parity-time(PT)-symmetric systems,which exhibit novel quantum properties and have attracted increasing *** this work,we extend Noether’s theorem to a class of significant PT-symmetry systems for which the eigenvalues of the PT-symmetry Hamiltonian HPTchange from purely real numbers to purely imaginary numbers,and introduce a generalized expectation value of an operator based on biorthogonal quantum *** find that the generalized expectation value of a time-independent operator is a constant of motion when the operator presents a standard symmetry in the PT-symmetry unbroken regime,or a chiral symmetry in the PT-symmetry broken *** addition,we experimentally investigate the extended Noether’s theorem in PT-symmetry single-qubit and two-qubit systems using an optical *** experiment demonstrates the existence of the constant of motion and reveals how this constant of motion can be used to judge whether the PT-symmetry of a system is ***,a novel phenomenon of masking quantum information is first observed in a PT-symmetry two-qubit *** study not only contributes to full understanding of the relation between symmetry and conservation law in PT-symmetry physics,but also has potential applications in quantum information theory and quantum communication protocols.

Transferring entangled states between matter qubits and microwave-field(or optical-field)qubits is of fundamental interest in quantum mechanics and necessary in hybrid quantum information processing and quantum *** here propose a way for transferring entangled states between superconducting qubits(matter qubits)and microwave-field *** proposal is realized by a system consisting of multiple superconducting qutrits and microwave ***,“qutrit”refers to a three-level quantum system with the two lowest levels encoding a qubit while the third level acting as an auxiliary *** contrast,the microwave-field qubits are encoded with coherent states of microwave *** the third energy level of each qutrit is not populated during the operation,decoherence from the higher energy levels is greatly *** entangled states can be deterministically transferred because measurement on the states is not *** operation time is independent of the number of superconducting qubits or microwave-field *** addition,the architecture of the circuit system is quite simple because only a coupler qutrit and an auxiliary cavity are *** an example,our numerical simulations show that high-fidelity transfer of entangled states from two superconducting qubits to two microwave-field qubits is feasible with present circuit QED *** proposal is quite general and can be extended to transfer entangled states between other matter qubits(e.g.,atoms,quantum dots,and NV centers)and microwave-or optical-field qubits encoded with coherent states.

Dye molecules often change colors(so-called “chromism”) according to the environment variation. However, they are rarely induced by a catalytic amount of cavity. Through encapsulation in the cavity of a porous coordination cage(PCC-2), Rhodamine B(1) is transformed from red quinonoid form(1q) into colorless lactone form(1l) in aprotic polar solutions. The μ4-OH groups in the cavity of PCC-2 are shown to stabilize the uncommon zwitterion intermediate(1z), followed by converting to 1l, thus accelerating the equilibrium. The chromism is catalyzed by 0.25 mol% of PCC-2, and the reaction rate is improved by 80,400times. 1@PCC-2 can be further fabricated to a sol-gel that exhibits ion recognition properties. The resulting encapsulation and stabilization of an unconventional intermediate by a catalytic amount of the coordination cage provides fundamental insights into molecular isomerization and has potential use in chemical sensing.

We investigate the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions and their difference operators by using a new *** is proved that if a non-constant meromorphic function f shares a non-zero constant and ∞ counting multiplicities with its difference operators Δcf(z) and Δ_(c)^(2)f(z), thenΔcf(z)≡Δ_(c)^(2)f(z).In particular,we give a difference analogue of a result of *** method has two distinct features:(ⅰ) It converts the relations between functions into the corresponding *** makes it possible to deal with the uniqueness problem by linear algebra and combinatorics.(ⅱ) It circumvents the obstacle of the difference logarithmic derivative lemma for meromorphic functions of infinite order,since this method does not depend on the growth of the ***,the idea in this paper can also be applied to the case for several variables.

In this study,the effect of new and used catalyzed diesel particulate filter(CDPF)with different catalyst loadings on the particulate emissions including the particle mass(PM),particle number(PN),particle size distribution(PSD)and geometric mean diameter(GMD)from a diesel vehicle were investigated based on a heavy chassis *** showed that more than 97.9%of the PN and 95.4%of the PM were reduced by the CDPF,and the reduction efficiency was enhanced by the catalyst *** using the CDPF,the PSD transformed from bimodal to trimodal with the peak shifting towards smaller particle size,more nucleation mode particles were reduced compared with accumulation mode ones,but the reduction effect on the accumulation mode particles was more significantly influenced by the catalyst ***,the CDPF increased the accumulation mode particles proportion,producing a larger *** the used CDPF,its reduction effect on the particulate emissions enhanced,especially for the PM in accumulation *** PSD returned to bimodal,but the peak at accumulation mode began to be higher than that at nucleation mode,illustrating that more nucleation mode particles was *** aging of the CDPF resulted in greater effect on the PN-based PSD than that of PM-based PSD,but the effect of catalyst loading on the PN and PM emission factors was *** used CDPF further increased the GMD,and the effect of catalyst loading on the GMD was strengthened,a higher catalyst loading led to a reduction in the GMD.

Adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy coating on zirconium:experimental and theoretical studies

Experimental scratch tests and first-principles calculations were used to investigate the adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy(HEA)coatings on zirconium *** HEA and Cr coatings were deposited on Zr alloy substrates using multi-arc ion plating technology,and scratch tests were subsequently conducted to estimate the adhesion property of the *** results indicated that Cr coatings had better adhesion strength than HEA coatings,and the HEA coatings showed *** special quasi-random structure approach was used to build HEA models,and Cr/Zr and HEA/Zr interface models were employed to investigate the cohesion between the coatings and Zr substrate using first-principles *** calculated interface energies showed that the cohesion between the Cr coating and the Zr substrate was stronger than that of the HEA coating with *** contrary to Al or Si in the HEA coating,Cr,Nb,and Ti atoms binded strongly with Zr *** on the calculated elastic constants,it was found that low Cr and high Al content decreased the mechanical performances of HEA ***,this study demonstrated the utilization of a combined approach involving first-principles calculations and experimental studies for future HEA coating development.
