High-Volume Mineral Admixtures Cement: The Effects of Particle Size Distribution

The effects of high-volume slag-fly ash cement with different particle sizes on hydration degree,microstructure and mechanical properties were systematically studied,by means of laser particle size(DLS),X-ray diffraction (XRD),comprehensive thermal analysis (TG-DTA),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and mechanical properties *** results show that suitable particle size distribution of cementitious material has significantly promoting effects on hydration reaction rate and mechanical *** with slag without further grinding,the slag after ball milling for 4 h has an obvious improvement in reactivity,which also provides a faster hydration rate and higher compressive strength for the cementitious *** the slag milled for 1 and 4 h is mixed at a mass ratio of 2:1 (i e,slag with D_(50) of 7.4μm and average size of 9.9μm,and slag with D_(50) value of 2.6μm and average size of 5.3μm),and a certain amount of fly ash is added in,the most obvious improvement of compressive strength of cement is achieved.

Spontaneous symmetry breaking has revolutionized the understanding in numerous fields of modern physics. Here, we theoretically demonstrate the spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking in a cavity quantum electrodynamics system in which an atomic ensemble interacts coherently with a single resonant cavity mode. The interacting system can be effectively described by two coupled oscillators with positive and negative mass, when the two-level atoms are prepared in their excited states. The occurrence of symmetry breaking is controlled by the atomic detuning and the coupling to the cavity mode,which naturally divides the parameter space into the symmetry broken and symmetry unbroken *** two phases are separated by a spectral singularity, a so-called exceptional point, where the eigenstates of the Hamiltonian coalesce. When encircling the singularity in the parameter space, the quasiadiabatic dynamics shows chiral mode switching which enables topological manipulation of quantum states.

Efficient hemostasis during emergency trauma with massive bleeding remains a critical challenge in prehospital ***,multiple hemostatic strategies are critical for treating large bleeding *** this study,inspired by bombardier beetles to eject toxic spray for defense,a shape-memory aerogel with an aligned microchannel structure was proposed,employing thrombin-carrying microparticles loaded as a built-in engine to generate pulse ejections for enhanced drug *** aerogels,after contact with blood,can rapidly expand inside the wound,offering robust physical barrier blocking,sealing the bleeding wound,and generating a spontaneous local chemical reaction causing an explosivelike generation of CO_(2) microbubbles,which provide propulsion thrust to accelerate burst ejection from arrays of microchannels for deeper and faster drug *** ejection behavior,drug release kinetics,and permeation capacity were evaluated using a theoretical model and experimentally *** novel aerogel showed remarkable hemostatic performance in severely bleeding wounds in a swine model and demonstrated good degradability and biocompatibility,displaying great potential for clinical application in humans.

Study on the fast elimination of smoke particle based on electro-acoustic coupling agglomeration technology

Fire smoke,which consists large amounts of fine particles,is considered as the fatal factor in *** this study,a fast smoke particle elimination method based on electro-acoustic coupling agglomeration technology is ***,the experimental results show that the electro-acoustic coupling agglomeration has higher smoke elimination efficiency compared to *** smoke transmission is much less than 80%after 30s of single acoustic or electric field action,while the coupled field reaches 90%.Then,the effects of acoustic frequency,sound pressure level and voltage on the smoke elimination characteristics are *** is found that the optimal acoustic frequency is *** as the sound pressure level and voltage increase,the elimination efficiency first increases and then tends to stabilize,the critical values of the sound pressure level and voltage are 135 dB and *** indicates that there is an optimal combination of the three ***,through the theoretical analysis of particle movement and the micro-morphology of agglomerates,the particle agglomeration mechanism under the electro-acoustic coupling is *** study provides a new idea for the fast elimination of fire smoke particle.

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1β(HNF1β)is essential for biliary development,while its genetic defect triggers the dysplasia of interlobular bile ducts,leading to life-threatening hepatitis and *** date,this disorder has mainly been docu-mented in ***,we report a case of cholestasis in an adult patient caused by a de novo HNF1β mutation.A liver biopsy revealed remarkable shrinkage of the portal area accompanied by a decrease or absence of interlobular bile ducts,veins,and arteries in the portal *** case showed that an HNF1β defect could induce late-onset cholestasis with paucity of the portal area in adulthood.

Discovering Latent Variables for the Tasks With Confounders in Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning

Efficient exploration in complex coordination tasks has been considered a challenging problem in multi-agent reinforcement learning(MARL). It is significantly more difficult for those tasks with latent variables that agents cannot directly observe. However, most of the existing latent variable discovery methods lack a clear representation of latent variables and an effective evaluation of the influence of latent variables on the agent. In this paper, we propose a new MARL algorithm based on the soft actor-critic method for complex continuous control tasks with confounders. It is called the multi-agent soft actor-critic with latent variable(MASAC-LV) algorithm, which uses variational inference theory to infer the compact latent variables representation space from a large amount of offline ***, we derive the counterfactual policy whose input has no latent variables and quantify the difference between the actual policy and the counterfactual policy via a distance function. This quantified difference is considered an intrinsic motivation that gives additional rewards based on how much the latent variable affects each agent. The proposed algorithm is evaluated on two collaboration tasks with confounders, and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of MASAC-LV compared to other baseline algorithms.

Effects of gallium surfactant on AlN thin films by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition

In this work, AlN films were grown using gallium (Ga) as surfactant on 4° off-axis 4H-SiC substrates via microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD). We have found that AlN growth rate can be greatly improved due to the catalytic effect of trimethyl-gallium (TMGa), but AlN crystal structure and composition are not affected. When the proportion of TMGa in gas phase was low, crystal quality of AlN can be improved and three-dimensional growth mode of AlN was enhanced with the increase of Ga source. When the proportion of TMGa in gas phase was high, two-dimensional growth mode of AlN was presented, with the increase of Ga source results in the deterioration of AlN crystal quality. Finally, employing a two-step growth approach, involving the initial growth of Ga-free AlN nucleation layer followed by Ga-assisted AlN growth, high quality of AlN film with flat surface was obtained and the full width at half maximum (FWHM) values of 415 nm AlN (002) and (102) planes were 465 and 597 arcsec.

Forward: The experience of land management in Shenzhen gives us the enlightenments: First, it is imperative toimplement commodification of land in China and full scale implementation. This trend will lead to the following 4benefits, namely: increase the effectiveness of land use dispositioning accelerate opening up to the outside world, allowfair competition among enterprises and enable the concentration of financial resources of the country and to bringabout a new source of financial income for the country. Secondly, there should be a clear model in thecommodification of land in China. It is appropriate for Shenzhen to choose the Commonwealth model i.e., the HongKong model, for reference for its commodification of land. However, we must abide by the principle that land re-sources are reasonably created under the condition that the relationship between ownership of land and rights to useremains unchanged. To implement commodification of land, it is necessary to establish perfect market for the tradingof parcels of land. This market has to be based on the prereguisite of public ownership of land, monopolized by thestate in accordance to the principle (of public ownership of land, monopolized by the state in accordance to the prin-ciple) of commodification. Thirdly, this management must be implemented by phases in different places instead ofmass action. The whole country can be roughly divided into four categories: the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) repre-sented by Shenzhen, the heavy industrial base along the southeast coastal region, some medium-sized open cities andthe northwest and southwest regions, where different practice should be adopted in different categories. Fourthly,commodification of land is closely linked with commodification of housing properties the whole situation of whichneeds to be taken into consideration in a comprehensive manner.
