Development of a deviation package method for low-cost robust optimization in compressor blade design

Manufacture variations can greatly increase the performance variability of compressor blades. Current robust design optimization methods have a critical role in reducing the adverse impact of the variations, but can be affected by errors if the assumptions of the deviation models and distribution parameters are inaccurate. A new approach for robust design optimization without the employment of the deviation models is proposed. The deviation package method and the interval estimation method are exploited in this new approach. Simultaneously, a stratified strategy is used to reduce the computational cost and assure the optimization accuracy. The test case employed for this study is a typical transonic compressor blade profile, which resembles most of the manufacture features of modern compressor blades. A set of 96 newly manufactured blades was measured using a coordinate measurement machine to obtain the manufacture variations and produce a deviation package. The optimization results show that the scatter of the aerodynamic performance for the optimal robust design is 2.% less than the baseline value. By comparing the optimization results obtained from the deviation package method with those obtained from widely-used methods employing the deviation model, the efficiency and accuracy of the deviation package method are demonstrated. Finally, the physical mechanisms that control the robustness of different designs were further investigated, and some statistical laws of robust design were extracted.

Numerical Study on the Aerodynamic and Fluid−Structure Interaction of An NREL-5MW Wind Turbine

A 5-MW wind turbine has been modeled and analyzed for fluid-structure interaction and aerodynamic *** this study, a full-scale model of a 5-MW wind turbine is first developed based on a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) approach, in which the unsteady, noncompressible Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) method is used. The main focus of the study is to analyze the tower shadow effect on the aerodynamic performance of the wind turbine under different inlet flow conditions. Subsequently, the finite element model is established by considering fluid/structure interactions to study the structural stress, displacement, strain distributions and flow field information of the structure under the uniform wind speed. Finally, the fluid-structure interaction model is established by considering turbulent wind and the tower shadow effect. The variation rules of the dynamic response of the one-way and two-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI) models under different wind speeds are analyzed, and the numerical calculation results are compared with those of the centralized mass model. The results show that the tower shadow effect and structural deformation are the main factors affecting the aerodynamic load fluctuation of the wind turbine, which in turn affects the aerodynamic performance and structural stability of the blades. The structural dynamic response of the coupled model shows significant similarity, while the structural displacement response of the former exhibits less fluctuation compared with the conventional centralized mass model. The one-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI)model shows a higher frequency of stress-strain and displacement oscillations on the blade compared with the two-way FSI model.

Slow magnetic relaxation and photoluminescence behaviors of dilanthanide complexes bearing N_(8)O_(2.donor macrocyclic ligand

On account of the complicated magnetic exchange interactions between lanthanide ions,binuclear lanthanide complexes have broad application prospect in the field of single-molecule ***,it is necessary to develop reasonable bridging ligands to manipulate the directional assembly of binuclear lanthanide ***,we selected the macrocyclic ligand L^(N_(8)O_(2.)to build up two new dilanthanide complexes[Ln_(2.(LN_(8)O_(2.)(OpyO)_(2.(H_(2.O)2.(NO_(3))_(2.(1-Ln,Ln=Dy,Tb;LN_(8)O_(2.=hexamethyl-tetraaza-dioxe-dipyrazolacycloicosaphane-2.9,12.19-tetraene;OpyOH=2.pyridinol-1-oxide).Dynamic magnetic studies show that 1-Dy exhibits slow relaxation behavior under a 1 kOe applied *** fitting analysis of relaxation times gives the effective energy barrier of 38.2.cm^(−1),and reveals that the slow magnetic relaxation behavior is dominated by the Orbach and Raman ***-resolution luminescence emission spectrum indicates the energy gap of 36.8 cm^(−1)between the ground state and the first excited state,consistent with the magnetic measurement results.1-Tb exhibits brilliant characteristic green light emission under UV light *** absolute quantum yield of 1-Tb is 44.8%,and its first-order fitted decay lifetime is 779.2.μs at room *** study provides the way for directional construction of high-performance molecular materials with magnetic and optical dual-function.

Local environment regulation of transition metal dichalcogenide-based single-atom catalysts

Single-atom catalysts have risen significant attention in the realm of green electrocatalytic energy conversion to address energy and environmental sustainability challenges. Transition metal dichalcogenide（TMD）-based single-atom catalysts are considered highly effective in electrocatalysis due to the TMDs' notable specific surface area, tunable elemental species and efficient utilization of single atoms. In order to enhance electrocatalytic performance, it is imperative to elaborately engineer the local environment surrounding the active sites of single atoms within TMDs. In this review, we initially explore the effects of synthesis methods on single-atom active sites and the influence of loading of single atoms on catalytic performance for TMDs. The modulation strategies of the local environment surrounding single-atom sites in TMDs are elaborated, including substitution engineering,surface adsorption, vacancies, spatial confinement and dual-atom site strategies. For each modulation strategy, the effects of diverse local environments on various electrocatalytic applications are presented, such as the oxygen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, nitrogen reduction reaction, CO2.eduction reaction and CO oxidation. Ultimately, this study presents a comprehensive overview of the challenges encountered and the potential directions for the advancement of single-atom catalysts based on TMDs in the realm of electrocatalysis.

Quantum support vector machine for multi classification

Classical machine learning algorithms seem to be totally incapable of processing tremendous data,while quantum machine learning algorithms could deal with big data unhurriedly and provide exponential acceleration over classical *** this paper,we propose two quantum support vector machine algorithms for multi *** is the quantum version of the directed acyclic graph support vector *** other one is to use the Grover search algorithm before measurement,which amplifies the amplitude of the phase storing of the classification *** k classification,the former provides quadratic reduction in computational complexity when *** latter accelerates the training speed significantly and more importantly,the classification result can be read out with a probability of at least 50%using only one *** conduct numerical simulations on two algorithms,and their classification success rates are 96%and 88.7%,respectively.
