Management and outcomes of surgical patients with intestinal Behçet’s disease and Crohn’s disease in southwest China

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal involvement in Behçet's disease(GIBD)and Crohn’s disease(CD)are inflammatory diseases sharing a considerable number of ***,different from CD,the operative and postoperative management of GIBD remains largely empirical because of the lack of comprehensive treatment *** To compare surgical patients with GIBD and those with CD in a medical center and identify notable clinical features and effective postoperative treatment for surgical patients with *** We searched patients diagnosed with CD and GIBD who underwent operations for gastrointestinal complications from 2009 to 2015 at West China Hospital of Sichuan University.A total of 10 surgical patients with GIBD and 106 surgical patients with CD were *** including demographic data,medication,and operative and postoperative parameters were collected and *** the incidence of surgical GIBD is low,their detailed medical records were reviewed and compared to previous ***,the prognoses of CD and GIBD were evaluated respectively between groups treated with biological and non-biological *** Indication for first surgery was often acute intestinal perforation for GIBDpatients (7/10 vs 0/106, P < 0.001), whereas intestinal fistulae (0/10 vs 44/106, P =0.013) and ileus (0/10 vs 40/106, P = 0.015) were the indications for surgical CDpatients. Approximately 40% of patients with GIBD and 23.6% of patients withCD developed postoperative complications, 50% of patients with GIBD and 38.7%of patients with CD had recurrence postoperatively, and 40% (4/10) of patientswith GIBD and 26.4% (28/106) of patients with CD underwent reoperations. Theaverage period of postoperative recurrence was 7.87 mo in patients with Behçet'sdisease (BD) and 10.43 mo in patients with CD, whereas the mean duration fromfirst surgery to reoperation was 5.75 mo in BD patients and 18.04 mo in CDpatients. Perovskite oxides with diverse composition and structure have exhibited grand advances in boosting the oxygen reduction and evolution reaction(ORR/OER),which are essential for the reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cell(R-PCEC)toward the sustainable hydrogen production and ***,enhancement of their activity and stability remains ***,we develop the Ta-regulated BaCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.3)O_(3-δ)perovskite oxygen electrode(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(1-x)Ta_xO_(3-δ))with abundant oxygen defects and achieve the simultaneous enhancement in the electrocatalytic activity and stability toward ORR and ***-fabricated R-PCEC with(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(0.9)Ta_(0.1)O_(3-δ))(BCFT10)oxygen electrode performs high power density of 1.47 W·cm^(-2)at 650℃in fuel cell mode,and the current density is up to-2.11 A·cm^(-2)at 1.4 V at 650℃in electrolysis mode,as well as the good stability in both the fuel cell and electrolysis ***,the cell also demonstrates a stable cycling operation between fuel cell and electrolysis mode,suggesting a great potential of BCFT10 as oxygen electrode material for R-PCECs.

Given the inherent potential of seawater,industrial wastewater,and residential water as inherent feedstocks for hydrogen production through water electrolysis,there is a critical demand for the exploration of robust and stable hydrogen-evolving catalysts that can operate effectively across a diverse range of pH ***,the pursuit of hydrogen-evolving electrocatalysts that demonstrate both good stability and high efficiency over a wide pH range remains a formidable *** we report the rational design and synthesis of an outstanding nanoporous hybrid electrocatalyst consisting of intermetallic cobalt-molybdenum alloy particles anchoring on MoO2 cuboid arrays,which demands very low overpotentials of 72,123 and 134 mV to deliver a current density of−100 mA·cm^(−2)for hydrogen evolution reaction under alkaline,neutral and acidic conditions,*** catalytic activities are superior to most non-precious-metal-based catalysts documented in the literatures,and are even comparable to noble metal *** particular,this alloy electrocatalyst exhibits excellent stability at 50 or 300 mA·cm^(−2)without obvious activity degradation,which is further supported by the undetectable changes in the surface chemical valence states on the basis of in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic *** study provides an innovative strategy for the design and synthesis of effective non-noble intermetallic catalysts for pH-universal hydrogen evolution over a wide pH range.

Linear-Quadratic Pareto Cooperative Game for Mean-Field Backward Stochastic System

This paper focuses on a Pareto cooperative differential game with a linear mean-field backward stochastic system and a quadratic form cost functional. Based on a weighted sum optimality method, the Pareto game is equivalently converted to an optimal control problem. In the first place,the feedback form of Pareto optimal strategy is derived by virtue of decoupling technology, which is represented by four Riccati equations, a mean-field forward stochastic differential equation(MF-FSDE),and a mean-field backward stochastic differential equation(MF-BSDE). In addition, the corresponding Pareto optimal solution is further obtained. Finally, the author solves a problem in mathematical finance to illustrate the application of the theoretical results.

Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking Analysis of the Mechanisms of Combined Radix Bupleuri(Chai-Hu) and Radix Paeoniae Alba(Bai-Shao) Treatment in the Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease

Objective: Radix Bupleuri and Radix Paeoniae Alba are referred to as Chai-Hu and Bai-Shao, respectively, in Chinese. We used molecular docking and network pharmacological approaches to explore the active components of this Chinese herb combination which is commonly used for treating Alzheimer's disease(AD), the Chai-Hu and Bai-Shao pair(CBP). Materials and Methods: The active compounds and action targets of Chai-Hu and Bai-Shao were identified in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database, and the Therapeutic Target Database, Drug Bank, Gen Cards, Dis Ge NET, and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man databases were used to identify therapeutic targets in patients with AD. To identify a common target of CBP in the treatment of AD, we used the Metascape tool to perform Gene Ontology function enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses. In addition, CBP-AD protein–protein interaction(PPI) and herb-component-target networks were created using Cytoscape 3.8.2. Molecular docking was verified using Auto Dock tools. Results: We identified 20 active compounds of CBP, 202 active targets, 1,323 disease targets, and 117 active compound disease intersection targets;the PPI network showed that the top eight key targets were AKT1, interleukin(IL) 6, JUN, MAPK1, tumor necrosis factor, TP53, vascular endothelial growth factor, and epidermal growth factor. These act mainly on the fluid shear stress, atherosclerosis, IL-17, hypoxia-inducible factor-1, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease pathways, among others, which control immune inflammation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. Based on molecular docking results, the active components of CBP bind well to its key targets. Conclusion: Our results indicated that CBP was effective for treating AD by reducing the expression of inflammatory factors, promoting cell proliferation and differentiation, and preventing nerve cell death and anti-neuronal cell apoptosis.

Polyoxometalates modified with complex cations have attracted increasing attention because of the fascinating properties and the controllable *** adjusting the synthesis conditions,four new terpyridine complexes based hybrid POMs,[(TPY-H)CuCl]_(4)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2DMF·2H_(2)O(1),[(TPY-H)Cu(DMSO)(H_(2)O)]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2H_(2)O(2),[(TPY-H)_(2)Cu]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·6DMSO·8H_(2)O(3) and[(TPY-Br)CuCl(DMSO)(H_(2)O)]_(2)[(TPY-Br)CuCl]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2DMSO·4H_(2)O(4),were prepared by using‘one-pot’***-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,infrared radiation,etc.,revealed the structural composition of compounds 1—4,which indicates that synthesis conditions have a directional regulatory effect on the compounds *** oxidation catalytic reactions show 1—4 have good catalytic activities,and powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetry analysis show 1—4 have superduper catalytic ***,4 has better catalytic activity because of the different structure of terpyridine ***,a possible mechanism of dual-site catalysis by both cations and anions is proposed.

Benefit-Risk Assessment of Chinese Medicine Injections for Primary Liver Cancer Based on Multi-criteria Decision Analysis

ObjectiveTo evaluate the benefit-risk of 3 commonly used Chinese medicine injections, Aidi Injection (ADI), Cinobufagin Injection (CINI) and Compound Kushen Injection (CKI), in the treatment of primary liver cancer (PLC), so as to provide a reference for clinical *** controlled trials (RCTs) of ADI, CINI and CKI in the treatment of PLC published in the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, China Science and Technology Journal Database, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were retrieved from January 2020 to October 2022. The data of benefit and risk indicators were combined to obtain the effect value. The multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) model was applied to build the decision tree. The benefit value, risk value and benefit risk value of the 3 injections in PLC treatment were calculated. Monte Carlo simulation was carried out to calculate the 95% confidence interval and probability of differences among the 3 injections, so as to optimize the evaluation *** total of 71 RCTs were included. The benefit values of ADI, CINI and CKI combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) were 42, 38 and 36, respectively. The risk values were 42, 25 and 37, respectively. The benefit risk values were 42, 31 and 37, respectively. The benefit risk differences of ADI vs. CINI, ADI vs. CKI, and CKI vs. CINI were 11 (−0.86, 17.75), 5 (−5.01, 11.09), and 6 (−1.87, 12.63), respectively. The probability that ADI superior to CINI, ADI superior to CKI, and CKI superior to CINI was 96.26%, 77.27%, and 92.62%, *** on the results of MCDA model, CINI combined with TACE has the greatest risk in the treatment of the PLC. Considering the efficacy and safety, the possible priority of the 3 Chinese medicine injections combined with TACE in the treatment of PLC is ADI, CKI and CINI.
