Objective Little is known about the association between whole-blood nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD^(+))levels and nabothian *** study aimed to assess the association between NAD^(+)levels and nabothian cysts in healthy Chinese *** Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the association between NAD^(+)levels and nabothian *** The mean age was 43.0±11.5 years,and the mean level of NAD^(+)was 31.3±5.3μmol/*** cysts occurred in 184(27.7%)participants,with single and multiple cysts in 100(15.0%)and84(12.6%)participants,*** total nabothian cyst prevalence gradually decreased from37.4%to 21.6%from Q1 to Q4 of NAD^(+)and the prevalence of single and multiple nabothian cysts also decreased across the NAD^(+)*** compared with the highest NAD^(+)quartile(≥34.4μmol/L),the adjusted odds ratios with 95%confidence interval of the NAD^(+)Q1 was 1.89(1.14–3.14)for total nabothian *** risk of total and single nabothian cysts linearly decreased with increasing NAD^(+)levels,while the risk of multiple nabothian cysts decreased more rapidly at NAD^(+)levels of 28.0 to35.0μmol/***:Low NAD^(+)levels were associated with an increased risk of total and multiple nabothian cysts.

A COUPLED MODEL OF HYDRODYNAMICS AND WATER QUALITY FOR yuQIAO RESERVOIR IN HAIHE RIVER BASIN

In order to simulate the characteristics of hydrodynamic field and mass transport processes in the yuqiao Reservoir （YQR）, a 2-D coupled model of hydrodynamics and water quality was developed, and the water-quality related state variables in this model included CODMn, TN and TP. The hydrodynamic model was driven by employing observed winds and daily measured flow data to simulate the seasonal water cycle of the reservoir. The simulation of the mass transport and transformation processes of CODMn, TN and TP was based on the unsteady diffusion equations, driven by observed meteorological forcing and external loadings, with the fluxes form the bottom of reservoir and the plant photosynthesis and respiration as internal sources and sinks. A finite volume method and Alternating Direction Implicit （ADI） scheme were used to solve these equations. The model was calibrated and verified by using the data observed from YQR in two different years. The results showed that in YQR, the wind-driven current was an important style of lake current, while the concentration of water quality item was decreasing from east to west because of the external pollutant loadings. There was a good agreement between the simulated and measured values, with the minimal calculation error percent of 0.1% and 2.6% and the mean error percent of 44.0% and 51.2% for TN and TP separately. The simulation also showed that, in YQR, the convection was the main process in estuaries of inflow river, and diffusion and biochemical processes dominate in center of reservoir. So it was necessary to build a pre-pond to reduce the external loadings into the reservoir.

The high-quality gate dielectric on silicon carbide （SiC） surface is critical to fabricate high-performance SiC metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors（MOSFETs）.This research employs microwave plasma annealing （MPA） to obtain high-quality Al2O3/SiC gate *** designing MPA atmosphere and optimizing the plasma power,the SiC MOS capacitor with a Al2O3dielectric film shows the enhanced *** interface state density is reduced by 1 order of magnitude to 6×1011cm-2·eV-1,the breakdown electric field is increased,and the voltage shift is effectively suppressed Besides,the mechanism of MPA process is discussed in terms of the thermal effect and reactant species.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） results unveil oxygen plasma plays the main *** plasma power during the MPA process results in defect repairs of the firstneighbor Al-O bonding and partial removal of Al-O-H bond from the interface *** study demonstrates that MPA process is an effective option to realize highquality dielectric and interface on SiC.

Density-based ship detection in SAR images:Extension to a self-similarity perspective

Nonlocal self-similarity is an important property of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images to characterize the repetitiveness of features embodied by SAR images within nonlocal areas and has been used for enhancement of SAR *** SAR ship detectors often independently handle small sub-images cropped from a large marine SAR image and do not exploit the nonlocal self-similarity *** this paper,we propose a new ship detector from the perspective of nonlocal self-similarity in SAR images to improve the ship detection performance,basically including three stages:prescreening,intra-cue calculation,and inter-cue *** the prescreening stage,we design a new Histogram-based Density(HD)feature to rapidly select candidate sub-images potentially containing ship targets from a large SAR *** the intra-cue calculation stage,target cues within a single candidate sub-image are *** the inter-cue calculation stage,thanks to the nonlocal self-similarity among different candidate sub-images in terms of density features,we innovatively extract a weighted superpixel-HD map to obtain accumulated intracues across all the candidate ***,for each candidate sub-image,we fuse its inter-cue and intra-cue to obtain final detection *** results based on real SAR images show that our newly proposed method provides a better target-to-clutter contrast and ship detection performance than those of other state-of-the-art detection approaches.

Kinematic calibration method with high measurement efficiency and robust identification for hybrid machine tools

Geometric error is the main factor affecting the machining accuracy of hybrid machine *** calibration is an effective way to improve the geometric accuracy of hybrid machine *** necessity to measure both position and orientation at each pose,as well as the instability of identification in case of incomplete measurements,severely affects the application of traditional calibration *** this study,a kinematic calibration method with high measurement efficiency and robust identification is proposed to improve the kinematic accuracy of a five-axis hybrid machine ***,the configuration is introduced,and an error model is ***,by investigating the mechanism error characteristics,a measurement scheme that only requires tool centre point position error measurement and one alignment operation is ***,by analysing the effects of unmeasured degrees of freedom(DOFs)on other DOFs,an improved nonlinear least squares method based on virtual measurement values is proposed to achieve stable parameter identification in case of incomplete measurement,without introducing additional ***,the proposed calibration method is verified through simulations and *** proposed method can efficiently accomplish the kinematic calibration of the hybrid machine *** accuracy of the hybrid machine tool is significantly improved after calibration,satisfying actual aerospace machining requirements.

Regulating Oxygen Vacancy Defects in Heterogeneous NiO-CeO_(2)−δ Hollow Multi-shelled Structure for Boosting Oxygen Evolution Reaction

CeO_(2) with excellent oxygen storage-exchange capacity and NiO with excellent surface activity were used to construct a heterogeneous NiO-CeO_(2)−δhollow multi-shelled structure(HoMS)by spray *** turned out that as the proportion of CeO_(2) increases,the overpotential and Tafel slope of NiO-CeO_(2)−δHoMSs first decreased and then *** is mainly because the construction of the NiO-CeO_(2)−δHoMSs not only increases the specific surface area,but also introduces oxygen vacancy defects,thus improving the interface charge transfer capability of the materials and further improving the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)***,the increase of the calcination temperature will induce the decay of the OER performance of NiO-CeO_(2)−δHoMSs,which is mainly due to the decrease of the specific surface area,the reduction of oxygen vacancy defects,and the weakening of interface charge transfer ***,a series of heterogeneous composite HoMSs,such as Ni/Co,Mo/Ni,Al/Ni and Fe/Ni oxides was successfully constructed by spray drying,which enriched the diversity of HoMSs.

Prediction and validation of diffusive uptake rates for indoor volatile organic compounds in axial passive samplers

The diffusive uptake rate is essential for using passive samplers to measure indoor volatile organic compounds(VOCs).The traditional theoretical model of passive samplers requires available regression formulas of uptake rates and physicochemical properties of adsorbents to predict the uptake ***,it is difficult to obtain the uptake rates of different VOCs under different sampling periods,and it is also difficult to obtain the physical parameters of adsorbents accurately and *** study provides a reliable numerical prediction method of diffusive uptake rates of *** modeling was based on the standard automated thermal desorption(ATD)tubes packed with Tenax TA and the mass transfer process during *** experimental determinations of toluene uptake rate are carried out to verify the prediction *** uptake rates of typical indoor VOCs are obtained from the literature to calibrate the key apparent parameters in the model by statistical regression *** predicted model can provide the VOC diffusive uptake rates under different sampling duration with an average deviation of less than 5%.This study can provide the basis for fast and accurate prediction of diffusive uptake rates for various VOC pollutants in built environments.

Representing the next-generation technology in lithium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries offer increased specific energy without relying on scarce metals like nickel and cobalt,but suffer from a low practical specific energy due to poor conductivity and a short lifespan due to the shuttle effect of *** the confinement of polysulfides and the transport of lithium ions requires highly elaborate modifiers for *** multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)show promise as hierarchical mesostructures for separators,offering multiple shell layers and internal cavities that effectively inhibit polysulfide *** design of these structures is crucial to address these challenges *** this study,nitrogen-doped carbon HoMS(NC HoMS)was created using polymer templates through a precisely controlled polymerization *** featuring NC HoMS-modified separators exhibit improved capacity and cycling stability in comparison to those utilizing commercial ***,triple-shelled NC HoMS strikes a balance in polysulfide containment and lithium ion *** a sulfur loading of 6.34 mg/cm^(2),the Li-S battery can consistently complete 100 charge-discharge cycles,starting with a discharge capacity of 966.4 mA·h/g with a 75.8%capacity retention *** HoMS holds potential as the separator modifier in addressing the polysulfide shuttle problem and facilitating the Li-ion transportation for advanced Li-S batteries.

Adhesives play an important role in modern society's production and daily *** robust and sustainable adhesives remains a great *** we report a sustainable epoxy-vitrimer adhesive with high adhesive strength(about 10 MPa)and reusability(82%strength after 3 times).This adhesive can be fabricated from commercially available products through a straightforward hot-pressing method without the need of *** adhesive process is also simple,requiring only 30 min at 180℃.In addition,the vitrimer adhesive has the advantages of both erasability for reuse and excellent water *** work provides a facile strategy to fabricate high-strength adhesive that ensures reusability,recyclability,low cost of raw materials,and simple processing ***,it expands the range of potential applications for epoxy vitrimers.

Objective: To investigate the potential role of apoptosis in the development of acute lung injury (ALI) and the interventional effect of Chinese herb 912 liquor. Methods: Forty - six Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups. In ALI group , 30 rats were intravenously infused with standard E. coli to reproduce the ALI model, and the samples were taken at 4,8 and 12 hours after bacterial challenge respectively. In Sham operation (SO) group, 8 rats were intravenously infused with normal saline in equal volume and the samples were collected at 12 hours. In 912 group, 8 rats were intravenously infused with Chinese herb 912 liquor half an hour after standard E. coli injection and the samples were obtained at 12 hours. The parameters of ALI including blood gas, lung index(LI),lung permeability index(LPI),tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) and pulmonary pathology were measured. Apoptosis was detected by transmission electron microscopy, flow cytometry and TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL), respectively. Results: It was observed that alveolar spaces were narrowed and neutrophils exuded at 4 hours after E. coli challenge . With prolongation of the time the pulmonary damage was deteriorated;PaO2 decreased, LI, LPI and TNF- a increased, and in comparison with SO group, the differences were significant (all P<0.01). TUNEL results showed that in ALI group, parts of cells were positive and apoptotic cells were (7.15±1.26)%,(12.39±1.67)%,(6.72±1.11)% at 4,8 and 12 hours, respectively, as detected by flow cytometry(all P<0.01). The results at first were increased and then declined, in comparison with SO group, all P<0.01. In 912 group the pulmonary function parameters above - mentioned were improved and apoptotic cells were increased up to (24.67±2.85)%, in comparison with ALI group, P<0.01. Conclusions: Apoptosis may play an important roles in the pathogenesis of ALI. In the early phase of ALI apoptosis is at the low level. Apoptosis, as a pathogenetic mechanism, a
