Microcomputer technique is put into use in ophthalmological clinical visual function examination. In visual EOG, ENG, visual tracking, contrast sensitivity and VEP examination, objectifying and standardization of.experiment and data analysis are achieved by computer technique. In addition, a lot of.manpower and time is saved, test results are obtained faster and more accurately. The basic rational of.computerization in clinical visual function examination is presented.

Purpose: To investigate the ocular torsion of.V ***:Twenty-two in hospital V patterns patients underwent bilateral inferior obliquemuscles myectomy for inferior oblique overacting and hortizon recti underwent recessresection procedure to correct hortizon devation. Objective cycloposition was assessed by fundus photograph before and 7 days after surgery in all cases. The photographs was stored in computer, and the disc-fovea angle was measured by means of.drawing picture sof.ware. As well as the deviation, oblique muscle function was recorded before and after ***: Seventeen cases were bilateral ocular excyclotropia, 4 cases were monocular excyclotropia and one case was *** disc-fovea angle of.right eyes and left eyes before operation is 15.67°+5.72° and 16.59°+6.69°.The comparisons among V patterns and normal average showed significant differences ( P ＜ 0.001). The disc-fovea angle of.right eyes and left eyes after operation is 5.24°+5.87° and 7.17°+5.40°. There is no statistic difference between normal average( P ＞ 0.5).The deviation between up-and down 25° is 23.1+6.8 before surgery, as well as the one is 2.0±2.25 one week *** cases have bilateral inferior oblique overaction, and diminished but one case still has unilateral moderate overaction 7 days after ***:There is objective cyclotropia in case of.V patterns, and the objective torsion is normal after weakening overacted inferior oblique muscles.

Experimental studies have shown that exercise and human adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)play positive roles in spinal cord injury(SCI).However,whether ADSCs and/or exercise have a positive effect on SCI-induced neuropathic pain is still ***,there is a need to explore the effects of.exercise combined with administration of.ADSCs on neuropathic pain after *** this study,a thoracic 11(T11)SCI contusion model was established in adult C57BL/6 *** was initiated from 7 days post-injury and continued to 28 days post-injury,and approximately 1×105 ADSCs were transplanted into the T11 spinal cord lesion site immediately after *** function and neuropathic pain-related behaviors were assessed weekly using the Basso Mouse Scale,von Frey filament test,Hargreaves method,and cold plate *** studies(Eriochrome cyanine staining and immunohistochemistry)were performed at the end of.the experiment(28 days post-injury).Exercise combined with administration of.ADSCs partially improved early motor function(7,14,and 21 days postinjury),mechanical allodynia,mechanical hypoalgesia,thermal hyperalgesia,and thermal *** of.ADSCs reduced white and gray matter loss at the lesion *** addition,fewer microglia and astrocytes(as identified by expression of.ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 and glial fibrillary acidic protein,respectively)were present in the lumbar dorsal horn in the SCI+ADSCs and SCI+exercise+ADSCs groups compared with the sham *** findings suggest that exercise combined with administration of.ADSCs is beneficial for the early recovery of.motor function and could partially ameliorate SCIinduced neuropathic pain.

AIM:To investigate the treatment pattern and safety of.tafluprost for glaucoma and ocular hypertension(OH)in clinical practice in ***:This post-marketing observational study included patients who received tafluprost to lower intraocular pressure(IOP)within 30d between September 2017 and March 2020 in 20 hospitals in *** drug reactions(ADRs)during tafluprost treatment and within 30d after the treatment were ***:A total of.2544 patients were included in this study,of.them 58.5%(1488/2544)had primary open angle glaucoma(POAG),21.9%(556/2544)had OH and 19.7%(500/2544)used tafluprost for other *** 359 ADRs occurred in 10.1%(258/2544)patients,and no serious adverse event *** most common ADR was conjunctival hyperemia(128 ADRs in 124 patients,4.9%).Totally 1670 participants(65.6%)combined tafluprost with carbonic anhydrase inhibitors(CAIs;37.1%,620/1670),sympathomimetics(33.5%,559/1670),β-blockers(33.2%,555/1670),other prostaglandin analogs(PGAs;15.6%,260/1670)and other eye drops(15.1%,253/1670).The highest incidence of.conjunctival hyperemia was noted in patients who received tafluprost in combination with other PGAs(23 ADRs in 23 patients,8.8%,23/260)and the lowest was in combination with CAIs(16 ADRs in 16 patients,2.6%,16/620).Tafluprost was applied in primary angle-closure glaucoma(41.6%,208/500),after glaucoma surgery(17.8%,89/500)and after non-glaucoma surgery(15.8%,79/500).CONCLUSION:Tafluprost is safe for POAG and OH,and tolerable when combined with other eye drops and under various clinical circumstances.

目的探讨糖尿病性视网膜病变(DR)患者行抗血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)治疗疗效与房水中细胞因子的相关性。方法纳入2023年7月至2023年12月在新乡医学院第三附属医院眼科行抗VEGF药物治疗的50例56眼DR患者,将患者分为糖尿病性黄斑水肿(DME)组(30例36眼)和增生型DR(PDR)组(20例20眼)。DME组患者每月玻璃体内注射阿柏西普眼内注射溶液1次,连续3次,每次注射前抽取房水;PDR组在行玻璃体切割术前1周玻璃体内注射阿柏西普眼内注射溶液1次,在注射前抽取房水,并在行玻璃体切割术时再次抽取房水。采用Luminex液相芯片检测每次抽取的房水内VEGF-A、胎盘生长因子(PLGF)、白细胞介素(IL)-1β、IL-23、IL-17A及肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF-α)的浓度。注射治疗前,所有患者均行最佳矫正视力(BCVA)和黄斑中心凹厚度(CMT)检测,分析注射治疗前各细胞因子浓度与DR患者BCVA及CMT的相关性。结果DME组患者注射治疗前后比较,房水中VEGF-A、PLGF及IL-23浓度均降低,差异均有统计学意义(均为P0.05)。结论VEGF-A、PLGF、IL-23的浓度变化与DR的发生发展密切相关,抗VEGF治疗可使DME患者BCVA得到改善,CMT下降。房水中IL-23的表达水平可作为DR患者抗VEGF疗效的预测因子,为DR的早诊断、早治疗提供新的靶点。

AIM: To identify the predictive factors and laser photocoagulation associated with the use of.silicone oil as endotamponade during primary diabetic vitrectomy. METHODS: The medical and surgical records of.690 patients(798 eyes) who underwent primary diabetic vitrectomy at a tertiary eye hospital in china from January 2018 to december 2018 were reviewed in this retrospective cohort study. The patients’ baseline characteristics and preoperative treatments were recorded. The binary Logistic regression model was used to evaluate the risk factors for the use of.silicone oil as endotamponade agent during primary vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)-related ***: Among 690 patients with mean age of.52.1±10.5 y(range: 18-85 y), 299/690(43.3%) were female. The 31.6% of.the eyes received preoperative laser treatment, and 72.4% of.the eyes received preoperative anti-VEGF adjuvant therapy. Non-clearing vitreous haemorrhage(VH) alone or combined with retinal detachment was the main surgical indication(89.5%) for primary vitrectomy. Silicone oil was used as endotamponade in 313(39.2%) eyes. Lack of.preoperative laser treatment [odds ratio(OR) 0.66, 95% confidence interval(CI): 0.48-0.92;P=0.015] and older age(OR 0.96, 95%CI: 0.95-0.98;Pof.silicone oil tamponade during primary vitrectomy for PDR. CONCLUSION: The lack of.preoperative laser treatment is a significant predictor of.silicone oil tamponade during primary vitrectomy for PDR. However, the severity of.PDR relevant to silicone oil use should be further evaluated.

AIM: To study the change in ocular refraction in patients with pediatric cataracts(PCs) after lens extraction. METHODS: A total of.1258 patients who were undergoing cataract extraction with/without intraocular lens(IOL)implantation were recruited during preoperative examinations between Jan 2010 and Oct 2013. Patient ages ranged from 1.5 mo to 14y. Follow-ups were conducted at1 wk, 1, and 3 mo postoperatively and every 3 mo in the first year, then 6 mo thereafter. Ocular refraction [evaluated as spherical equivalent(SE)] and yearly myopic shift(YMS)were recorded and statistically analyzed among patients with age at surgery, baseline ocular refraction, gender,postoperative time and laterality(bilateral vs unilateral). RESULTS: By dec 31st 2015, 1172 participants had been followed for more than 2y. The median follow-up period was 3y. The critical factors affecting the ocular refraction of.PC patients were baseline ocular refraction, postoperative time for both aphakic and pseudophakic eyes. YMS grew most rapidly in young childhood and early adolescence. CONCLUSION: After lens surgeries, ocular refraction in PC patients shows an individual difference of.*** concerns should be raising to monitor the rapid myopic shift at early adolescence of.these patients.
