The process-based water system models have been transitioning from single-functional to integrated multi-objective and multi-functional since the worldwide digital upgrade of urban water system *** proliferation of model complexity results in more significant uncertainty and computational ***,conventional model calibration methods are insufficient in dealing with extensive computational time and limited monitoring *** we introduce a novel machine learning system designed to expedite parameter optimization with limited data and boost efficiency in parameter ***,termed the machine learning parallel system for fast parameter search of integrated process-based models,aims to enhance both the performance and efficiency of the integrated model by ensuring its comprehensiveness,accuracy,and *** was constructed upon the concept of model surrogation t algorithm optimization using Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)coupled with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM).The optimization results of the Integrated sewer network and urban river model demonstrate that the average relative percentage difference of the predicted river pollutant concentrations increases from 1.1 to 6.0,and the average absolute percent bias decreases from 124.3%to 8.8%.The model outputs closely align with the monitoring data,and parameter calibration time is reduced by 89.94%.MLPS enables the efficient optimization of integrated process-based models,facilitating the application of highly precise complex models in environmental *** design of MLPS also presents valuable insights for optimizing complex models in other fields.

For the multi-objective control problem and computational burden of 160 MW boiler-turbine systems, this paper proposes an event-triggered multi-objective economic model predictive control (MO-EMPC) strategy. Combining with the lexicographic method and the production process requirements, boiler refueling is taken as the highest priority control objective, the main steam control is taken as the second priority control objective, and feed valve control is taken as the third priority control objective. A hierarchical receding horizon optimal control problem is formulated accordingly. The auxiliary positive-definite functions at boiler-turbine systems economic optimal equilibrium points are defined, which are used to design the contraction constraint condition. The triggered mechanism is then designed by relaxing contraction constraint. A lightweight multi-objective predictive control scheme with guaranteed stability and economic performance is established. Compared with the time-triggered lexicographic MO-EMPC, the proposed method decreases the calculation amount by reducing the solution frequency, and realizes the economic performance of the boiler-turbine system. © 2024 Northeast University. Due to their extensive microporous structure,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)find widespread application in constructing modification layers,functioning as ion ***,the modification layers prepared by existing methods feature gaps between MOFs that are noticeably larger than the inherent MOF pore *** and lithium ions unavoidably permeate through these gaps,hindering the full exploitation of the structural ***,an ultrathin(20 nm)and crack-free MOF film is formed on the separator by atomic layer deposition for the first *** on the separator,the mechanism of different MOF layers has been verified by phase field simulation and in situ Raman *** results accurately prove that the MOF particle layer can relieve the shuttle of polysulfides,but it does not have the effect of homogenizing lithium *** the ultrathin and crack-free MOF film with proper pore size can act as the ion sieve for both polysulfides and lithium *** a result,under the test condition of 2mA cm^(-2)-2 mAh cm^(-2),the overpotential of the Li/Li symmetric battery is only 18 mV after 2500 *** capacity retention rate of the lithium-sulfur battery is 95.6% after 500 cycles and 80% after 1000 cycles at 2 C.

Extensive efforts have been made to pursue a low-friction state with promising applications in many fields,such as mechanical and biomedical *** which,the load capacity of the low-friction state has been considered to be crucial for industrial ***,we report a low friction under ultrahigh contact pressure by building a novel self-assembled fluorinated azobenzene layer on an atomically smooth highly-oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG)*** friction coefficients could be as low as 0.0005 or even lower under a contact pressure of up to 4 *** demonstrates that the low friction under ultrahigh contact pressure is attributed to molecular *** fluorination leads to effective and robust lubrication between the tip and the self-assembled layer and enhances tighter rigidity which can reduce the stress concentration in the substrate,which was verified by density functional theory(DFT)and molecular dynamics(MD)*** work provides a new approach to avoid the failure of ultralow friction coefficient under relatively high contact pressure,which has promising potential application value in the future.

BACKGROUND Erythropoietic protoporphyria(EPP)is a rare genetic disorder stemming from ferrochelatase gene mutations,which leads to abnormal accumulation of protoporphyrin IX primarily in erythrocytes,skin,bone marrow and *** porphyria-related severe liver damage is rare,its consequences can be severe with limited treatment *** SUMMARY This case study highlights a successful intervention for a 35-year-old male with EPP-related liver impairment,employing a combination of red blood cell(RBC)exchange and therapeutic plasma exchange(TPE).The patient experienced significant symptom relief and a decrease in bilirubin levels following multiple PE sessions and an RBC *** The findings suggest that this combined approach holds promise for managing severe hepatic impairment in EPP.

Flowering time is important for adaptation of soybean(Glycine max)to different ***,we conducted a genome-wide association study of flowering time using a panel of 1490 cultivated soybean *** identified three strong signals at the qFT02-2 locus(Chr02:12037319–12238569),which were associated with flowering time in three environments:Gongzhuling,Mengcheng,and *** analyzing linkage disequilibrium,gene expression patterns,gene annotation,and the diversity of variants,we identified an AP1 homolog as the candidate gene for the qFT02-2 locus,which we named *** one nonsynonymous polymorphism existed among 1490 soybean accessions at position Chr02:*** carrying the Chr02:12087053-T allele flowered significantly earlier than those carrying the Chr02:12087053-A ***,we developed a cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence(CAPS)marker for the SNP at Chr02:12087053,which is suitable for marker-assisted breeding of flowering *** of GmAP1d in the‘Williams 82’background by gene editing promoted flowering under long-day conditions,confirming that GmAP1d is the causal gene for *** analysis of the region surrounding GmAP1d revealed that GmAP1d was artificially selected during the genetic improvement of *** stepwise selection,the proportion of modern cultivars carrying the Chr02:12087053-T allele has increased,and this allele has become nearly fixed(95%)in northern *** findings provide a theoretical basis for better understanding the molecular regulatory mechanism of flowering time in soybean and a target gene that can be used for breeding modern soybean cultivars adapted to different latitudes.
