We study radiative decays of T to light quark jets in nonrelativistic QCD by taking both the color singlet and color octet b^-b operators into consideration. The cut for quark jet energy and cut for the angle between two quark jets are introduced. The sensitivity to the soft and collinear singularities in the loop integrals are greatly reduced by these cuts. With the jet energy cut of about 1 geV, and the jet angle cut of about 36°, the branching ratio for γ→ rq^- is found to be 8.2 × 10^-4 from color singlet contributions. The color octet contributions could be much larger than that of color singlet, depending on the estimate of the color octet matrix elements. This process may provide a new test for the color octet mechanism in nonrelativistic QCD.

BACKgROUND Status epilepticus is an emergent and critical condition which needs management without hesitation. Nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) tends to be less recognized, and its diagnosis is delayed in comparison with overt status epilepticus because of the absence of specific clinical signs. It is often difficult to make a diagnosis, particularly in patients with hepatic encephalopathy. CASE SUMMARY A 38-year-old man with a history of alcoholic liver cirrhosis presented with altered mental status;the initial diagnosis was hepatic encephalopathy. Although optimal treatment for hepatic encephalopathy was administered, the patient's mental status did not improve. A final diagnosis of NCSE was made by continuous electroencephalogram (EEg) monitoring. Treatment with levetiracetam and propofol pump was immediately started. The patient’s consciousness gradually improved after discontinuation of propofol therapy, and no further epileptic discharge was observed by EEg monitoring. After 1 wk, the patient returned to full consciousness, and he was able to walk in the hospital ward without assistance. He was discharged with minimal sequela of bilateral conjunctivitis. CONCLUSION In cases of persistent altered mental status without reasonable diagnosis, NCSE should be considered in hepatic encephalopathy patients with persistently altered levels of consciousness, and EEg monitoring is very important. We also recommend propofol as a safe and efficient therapy for NCSE in liver cirrhosis patients.

Although the prevalence of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection has declined in renal transplant recipients (RTRs), it remains a relevant clinical problem with high morbidity and mortality in long-term follow up. A thorough evaluation, including liver biopsy as well as assessment of HBV replication in serum (i.e. hepatitis B e antigen and/or HBV DNA) is required before transplantation. Interferon should not be used in this setting because of low efficacy and precipitation on acute allograft rejection. The advent of effective antiviral therapies offers the opportunity to prevent the progression of liver disease after renal transplantation. However, as far as we are aware, no studies have compared prophylactic and preemptive strategies. To date, the majority of RTRs with HBV-related liver disease have had a high virological and biochemical response to lamivudine use. However, lamivudine resistance is frequent with a prolonged course of therapy. Considering long-term treatment, antiviral agents with a high genetic barrier to resistance and lack of nephrotoxicity are suggested. The optimal strategy in RTRs with HBV infection remains to be established in the near future.

Password authentication schemes based on a geometric approach are proposed. Based on geometrics such as a plane or space, the proposed schemes can be used to fulfill the various requirements for security and achieve more efficient results. They allow a user to register with many servers once without remembering different passwords for each, and also allow a user to change the password freely and update it offline. In addition, the proposed schemes do not need to maintain a verification table and are also computationally efficient. Moreover, we propose a specific access right (AR) to verify the legitimate user who has different authorization levels on a server in a multi-server environment.

The countries of Central Asia are collectively known as the five "-stans": Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, tajikistan and Kazakhstan. In recent times, the Central Asian region has been affected by the shrinkage of the Aral Sea, widespread desertification, soil salinization, biodiversity loss, frequent sand storms, and many other ecological disasters. This paper is a review article based upon the collection, identification and collation of previous studies of environmental changes and regional developments in Central Asia in the past 30 years. Most recent studies have reached a consensus that the temperature rise in Central Asia is occurring faster than the global average. This warming trend will not only result in a higher evaporation in the basin oases, but also to a significant retreat of glaciers in the mountainous areas. Water is the key to sustainable development in the arid and semi-arid regions in Central Asia. The uneven distribution, over consumption, and pollution of water resources in Central Asia have caused severe water supply problems, which have been affecting regional harmony and development for the past 30 years. The widespread and significant land use changes in the 1990 s could be used to improve our understanding of natural variability and human interaction in the region. There has been a positive trend of trans-border cooperation among the Central Asian countries in recent years. International attention has grown and research projects have been initiated to provide water and ecosystem protection in Central Asia. However, the agreements that have been reached might not be able to deliver practical action in time to prevent severe ecological disasters. Water management should be based on hydrographic borders and ministries should be able to make timely decisions without political intervention. Identifying Indicator Species in Habitats Created by Coastal Structures

In this paper, three approachs were developed to find indicator species from the habitat created by coastal structures. These approachs consist of a model of species co-occurrence probability, a model of k-environmental factor probability and a composite model. Simultaneously, a case study was conducted in Hsinchu Fishing Port of north-western taiwan. Based on the aforementioned models, three primary producer species, Ahnfeltiopsis flabelliformis, Chondrus ocellatus and Sarcodia montagneana, were chosen as the indicator species which had the highest co-occurrence probabilities and showed greater tolerance to more critical environment. It is imperative to understand how the three species under particular co-occurring conditions and environmental factors influence the composition of sessile assemblages in coastal water. The results indicate that for the purpose of increasing biodiversity, these models are feasible to find indicator species of artificial structures, and to help make it possible to design coastal structures based on biological considerations. This study provides an innovative approach for further advanced application in the artificial habitat of coast management.

gallbladder torsion is a rare,acute abdominal disease. It was first reported by Wendell in 1898. Since then,only 500 cases have been reported. gallbladder torsion occurs in all age groups,although it usually appears in the latter stages of life. The occurrence ratio between women and men is 3:1. Most cases are diagnosed during surgery. The main treatment is surgical detorsion and cholecystectomy. Despite progress in radiologic imaging diagnosis,it is not easy to obtain a precise preoperative diagnosis of gallbladder torsion. In previous reports,only 9.8% of all gallbladder torsion cases were diagnosed preoperatively. We present a case of acute body-neck gallbladder torsion in an elderly man,and we review the radiologic findings of magnetic resonance imaging,computed tomography,and ultrasonography. The radiologic findings in the present case were helpful in obtaining a preoperative diagnosis of gallbladder torsion. The diagnosis was confirmed by T2-weighted magnetic resonance images,which showed an intra-gallbladder segment located between the body and neck of the gallbladder,with a notable crease within this segment.

BACKgROUND Colorectal cancer is a frequent cause of cancer-related mortality in patients with lymph node or distant *** tumor deposits(TDs)are considered prognostically distinct from lymph node *** To investigate risk factors for extranodal TDs in stage III colon *** This was a retrospective cohort *** selected 155 individuals diagnosed with stage III colon cancer from the database of the Cancer Registry of the Tri-Service general *** patients were allocated into the groups with/without *** Cox regression analysis and Kaplan-Meier method were *** primary outcomes investigate the association between the covariates and extranodal TDs,and prognostic significance of the covariates regarding the *** There were 136 individuals in the non-N1c group and 19 individuals in the N1c *** with lymphovascular invasion(LVI)had a higher risk of *** survival rates of patients with and without LVI were 6.64 years and 8.61 years,respectively(P=0.027).The N1c patients without LVI had higher overall survival than those who with LVI(7.73 years vs 4.42 years,P=0.010).CONCLUSION Patients having stage III colon cancer with LVI have a higher probability of having TDs than those with stage III colon cancer without *** III colon cancer patients with TDs and LVI could have poor prognosis and outcome.
