The von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein(VHL),an E3 ubiquitin ligase,functions as a critical regulator of the oxygen-sensing pathway for targeting hypoxia-inducible *** evidence suggests that mammalian VHL may also be critical to the NF-κB signaling pathway,although the specific molecular mechanisms remain ***,the roles of mandarin fish(Siniperca chuatsi)VHL(scVHL)in the NF-κB signaling pathway and mandarin fish ranavirus(MRV)replication were *** transcription of scVHL was induced by immune stimulation and MRV infection,indicating a potential role in innate ***-luciferase reporter gene assays and reverse transcription quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR)results demonstrated that scVHL evoked and positively regulated the NF-κB signaling *** with NF-κB signaling pathway inhibitors indicated that the role of scVHL may be mediated through scIKKα,scIKKβ,scIκBα,or ***-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP)analysis identified scIκBαas a novel target protein of ***,scVHL targeted scIκBαto catalyze the formation of K63-linked polyubiquitin chains to activate the NF-κB signaling *** MRV infection,NF-κB signaling remained activated,which,in turn,promoted MRV *** findings suggest that scVHL not only positively regulates NF-κB but also significantly enhances MRV *** study reveals a novel function of scVHL in NF-κB signaling and viral infection in fish.

＜正＞ For the CFRD constructed on deep alluviums, numerical method was applied to analysis the stress and deformation properties of the dam, foundation, slab and concrete diaphragm. The interaction between dam and overburden foundation was studied in detail. The analysis results show that: The rational’design for CFRD constructed in deep alluviums is to use vertical concrete diaphragm as the foundation seepage control measures. The key for the design is to keep deformation accordance of different structures, such as dam, slab, plinth, connection slabs, etc. and to meet the requirements of strength and deformation. Although the deformation of alluviums do have impacts on the stress and deformation of dam structures, those impacts could be limited in a certain scale to ensure the safe operation of the dam. For the connecting slabs between diaphragm and plinth, the short or long length may cause adverse impacts on the diaphragm. The proper length of the connecting slabs can be determined by optimal analysis.

Risk Factors and Predictive Nomogram for Survival in Elderly Patients with Brain Glioma

低氮条件下超级杂交稻苗期根系特征的变化及与其高氮素积累的关系

作物根系在氮素吸收与分配中起着重要作用。本研究选用2个根系特征具有差异的水稻品种黄华占(Huanghuazhan, HHZ,常规稻)和扬两优6号(Yangliangyou 6, YLY6,超级杂交稻),在水培条件和2个氮素浓度(低氮,lownitrogen,LN;高氮,highnitrogen,HN)处理下,研究根系形态和解剖结构特征的变化及其与LN下氮素积累的关系。与HN处理相比, LN处理下HHZ总氮积累量显著下降了19.7%, YLY6没有显著下降;YLY6根干重、总根长、根表面积、根尖数分别显著增加了41.3%、57.1%、74.9%和20.6%,而HHZ没有显著变化。与HN处理相比, LN处理下YLY6的根直径和根皮层面积分别显著增加了12.4%和24.2%,而HHZ根直径和根皮层面积、中柱直径分别显著降低了12.0%、21.9%和11.4%。LN处理下,YLY6根系铵转运蛋白基因AMT2;1、AMT2;3、AMT3;1、AMT3;2的表达量分别显著增加了195.6%、29.3%、314.9%和388.9%,谷氨酰胺合成酶基因GS1;1表达量增加了158.2%, HHZ中这5个基因的表达量没有显著变化。LN下总氮积累量与根系性状显著正相关(根厚壁组织厚度除外),与部分铵转运和同化相关基因的表达量显著正相关。这些结果表明超级杂交稻YLY6幼苗在LN下根系特征变化有利于增加氮积累。选育根系对减氮表现出有利变化的水稻品种应是绿色水稻生产的一个重要途径。

Owing to their exceptional properties, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) and high-entropy materials have emerged as promising research areas and shown diverse applications. Here,the recent advances in the field are comprehensively reviewed,organized into five sections. The first section introduces the background of HEAs, covering their definition, significance,application prospects, basic properties, design principles, and microstructure. The subsequent section focuses on cutting-edge high-entropy structural materials, highlighting developments such as nanostructured alloys, grain boundary engineering,eutectic systems, cryogenic alloys, thin films, micro-nano-lattice structures, additive manufacturing, high entropy metallic glasses, nano-precipitate strengthened alloys, composition modulation, alloy fibers, and refractory systems. In the following section, the emphasis shifts to functional materials, exploring HEAs as catalysts, magneto-caloric materials, corrosion-resistant alloys, radiation-resistant alloys, hydrogen storage systems, and materials for biomedicine. Additionally, the review encompasses functional high-entropy materials outside the realm of alloys, including thermoelectric, quantum dots, nanooxide catalysts, energy storage materials, negative thermal expansion ceramics,and high-entropy wave absorption materials. The paper concludes with an outlook, discussing future directions and potential growth areas in the field. Through this comprehensive review,researchers, engineers, and scientists may gain valuable insights into the recent progress and opportunities for further exploration in the exciting domains of high-entropy alloys and functional materials.

Corneal endothelial cell density and morphology and central corneal thickness in Guangxi Maonan and Han adolescent students of China

AIM: To investigate the corneal endothelial cell density and morphology and central corneal thickness in the Guangxi Maonan and Han adolescent students of ***: Noncontact specular microscope(Topcon SP3000 P, Tokyo, Japan) was performed in 133 adolescent students of Maonan nationality(M:F 54:79)and 105 adolescent students of Han nationality(M:F 50:55),5 to 20 y of age, who were randomly selected from 3schools in Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of *** studied included endothelial cell density,mean cell area, coefficient of variation in cell size,percentage hexagonality and central corneal thickness. RESULTS: Endothelial cell density, mean cell area,coefficient of variation in cell size, percentage hexagonality and central corneal thickness in the study population were(2969.50 ±253.93) cells/mm2,(339.23 ±29.44) μm2,(29.96 ±4.07) %,(64.58 ±9.41) % and(523.71 ±32.82) μm in Maonan and(2998.26 ±262.65) cells/mm2,(336.11±30.07) μm2,(29.89±5.03) %,(64.91±11.64) % and(524.39 ±33.15) μm in Han, respectively. No significant differences were observed in endothelial cell density,mean cell area, coefficient of variation in cell size,percentage hexagonality and central corneal thickness between Maonan and Han(P =0.615, 0.659, 0.528, 0.551,0.999). In Maonan and Han, we found age was negatively correlated with endothelial cell density and percentagehexagonality and positively correlated with mean cell area and coefficient of variation in cell size. Negative correlation was also found between central corneal thickness and age in Han, whereas no correlation was found in Maonan. CONCLUSION: There were no differences between Maonan and Han in corneal endothelial cell density and morphology and central corneal thickness. Introduction:Hepatitis B virus(HBV) reactivation has been reported in B-cell lymphoma patients with resolved hepatitis B(hepatitis B surface antigen[HBsAg]-negative and hepatitis B core antibody[HBcAb]-positive).This study aimed to assess HBV reaaivation and hepatitis occurrence in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL) patients with resolved hepatitis B receiving rituximab-containing chemotherapy compared with HBsAg-negative/HBcAb-negative patients to identify risk factors for HBV reaaivation and hepatitis occurrence and to analyze whether HBV reaaivation and hepatitis affect the survival of DLBCL patients with resolved hepatitis ***:We reviewed the clinical data of 278 patients with DLBCL treated with rituximab-containing therapy between January 2004 and May 2008 at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center,*** faaors for HBV reaaivation,hepatitis development,and survival were examined by univariate analysis using the chi-square or Fisher's exact test and by multivariate analysis using the Cox regression ***:Among the 278 patients,165 were *** these 165 patients,6(10.9%) of 55 HBcAb-positive(resolved HBV infeaion) patients experienced HBV reactivation compared with none(0%) of 110 HBcAb-negative patients(P=0.001).Patients with resolved hepatitis B had a higher hepatitis occurrence rate than HBsAg-negative/HBcAb-negative patients(21.8%vs.8.2%,P = 0.013).HBcAb positivity and elevated baseline alanine aminotransferase(ALT) levels were independent risk factors for *** the 55 patients with resolved hepatitis B,patients with elevated baseline serum ALT or aspartate aminotransferase(AST) levels were more likely to develop hepatitis than those with normal serum ALT or AST levels(P = 0.037,P = 0.005,respeaively).An elevated baseline AST level was an independent risk factor for hepatitis in these *** patients with HBV reactivation recovered after immediate antiviral therapy,and chemotherapy was *** posit

Host plants and natural enemies of Bemisia tabaci （Hemiptera： Aleyrodidae）in China

The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, has been a destructive pest in China for over the past two decades. It is an extremely polyphagous insect, being recorded feeding on hundreds of host plants around the world. Potential host plants and natural enemies of B. tabaci in the south, southeast, middle, north and northwest of China were investigated during the last decade. In total 361 plant species from 89 families were recorded in our surveys. Plants in the families Compositae, Cruciferae, Cucurbitaceae, Solanaceae and Leguminosae were the preferred host species for B. tabaci, which therefore suffered much damage from this devastating pest due to their high populations. In total, 56 species of parasitoids, 54 species of arthropod predators and seven species of entomopathogenic fungi were recorded in our surveys. Aphelinid parasitoids from Encarsia and Eretrnocerus genera, lady beetles and lacewings in Coleoptera and Neuroptera were found to be the dominant arthropod predators of B. tabaci in China. The varieties of host plant, their distribution and the dominant species of natural enemies of B. tabaci in different regions of China are discussed.
