The syntheses and characterization of novel biferrocene trinuclear complexes of Schiff base ligand, S methyl N (ferrocenyl 1 methyl methylidene)dithiocarbazate [hereafter abbreviated as HL (1)], are described. The X ray diffraction studies have established the structures of PdL 2 (3) and CuL 2 (4). The geometry of Pd(Ⅱ) in (3) is close to a square plane and in the novel cis configuration the two ferrocene moieties are in cis configuration, while that of Cu(Ⅱ) in (4) is close to a tetrahedral configuration. The electrochemical measurements suggested that the square planar configuration of ni(Ⅱ) and Pd(Ⅱ) moieties can effectively transmit the redox effects of the ferrocene moieties, while the tetrahedral configuration of the Cu(Ⅱ) complex can not transmit the redox effects. The degenerate four wave mixing (DFWM) measurements showed that the complexes exhibit obviously nonlinear optical (NLO) response. The magnitude of their third order NLO susceptibility can be explained by their structure and electrochemical properties.

Over the past 70 years, the semiconductor industry has undergone transformative changes,largely driven by the miniaturization of devices and the integration of innovative structures and materials. Two-dimensional(2D) materials like transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs) and graphene are pivotal in overcoming the limitations of silicon-based technologies, offering innovative approaches in transistor design and functionality, enabling atomic-thin channel transistors and monolithic 3D integration. We review the important progress in the application of 2D materials in future information technology, focusing in particular on microelectronics and optoelectronics. We comprehensively summarize the key advancements across material production, characterization metrology, electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, and heterogeneous integration on silicon. A strategic roadmap and key challenges for the transition of 2D materials from basic research to industrial development are outlined. To facilitate such a transition, key technologies and tools dedicated to 2D materials must be developed to meet industrial standards, and the employment of AI in material growth, characterizations, and circuit design will be essential. It is time for academia to actively engage with industry to drive the next 10 years of 2D material research.

A novel biferocene trinuclear complex for Schiff base ligand S-methyl-N- (ferrocenyl-1-methyl -methylidene) dithiocarbazate thereafter abbreviated as HL) is described. X-ray diffraction studies established the structure of the palladium complex, PdL2. The geometry of Pd (II) in the complex is close to square planar and in novel cis-configuration with two ferrocene moieties on the same side. Degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) measurements show that the complex exhibit obvious nonlinear optical response.

A novel Schiff base ligand (HL) derived from S-methyldithiocabazate and pmethoxylbenzaldehyde was prepared and characterized. The Schiff base ligand acts as a single negatively charged bidentate ligand fondng D-M-D type comPlex (D=donor, M=metal). Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of the copper(Ⅱ) complex established that the geometry around Cu (Ⅱ) is square-planar with two equivalent M-N and M-S bonds. The two phenyl rings and the coordinated plane are almost in one plane fotheng an electronic delocalization system. Their thirdorder response was also studied.

We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2089 keV for this work)with a factor of 23.A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2)^(0ν)>1.0×10^(23)yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:<3.2–7.5 eV.

The structure of ZnL2Cl2 (L=4-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone) has beenobtained by x-ray diffraction. The compound crystallized in space group Cc with Z=4, in a unit cellof dimensions, a=9.08909(10), b=22. l420(10), c=11 .7890(l0)A,β=90.050(10)°, v=2374.6(12)A3,Dc=1 .552gcm-3. H=1 .463mm-1. R=0.0338. and Rw=0.0418. The structure contains individualZnL2Cl2 distorted tetrahedral units in which L molecules are S-bonded as monodentate to the metalions; chloride ions are also coordinated. The nonlinear optical properties of the zinc complex arealso presented in this letter.

Carbon Monoxide： A Novel Antioxidant Against Oxidative Stress in Wheat Seedling Leaves

Carbon monoxide （CO）, an endogenous signaling molecule in animals, also provides potent cytoprotective effects including attenuation of lung lipid peroxidation induced by oxidant in the mouse. Our recent work demonstrated that 0.01 μmol/L hematin （a CO donor） treatment of wheat plants alleviated salt-induced oxidative damage in seedling leaves. In this report, we further discovered that hematin pretreatment （≤ 0.1 μmol/L） could delay wheat leaf chlorophyll loss mediated by further treatment of H202 and paraquat, two reactive oxygen species （ROS） sources, in dose-and even time-dependent manners. Also, compared with the control samples, seedling leaves pretreated with 0.01 or 0.1 μmol/L hematin for 24 h exhibited lower levels of H2O2 and lipid peroxidation, as well as higher contents of chlorophyll and activities of antioxidant enzymes. Such beneficial effects exerted by hematin were mimicked by the pretreatment of antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene （BHT）, and differentially reversed when CO scavenger hemoglobin （Hb）, or CO specific synthetic inhibitor ZnPPIX was added, respectively. Taken together, the results presented In this paper directly illustrate for the first time that CO is able to strongly protect plants from oxidative damage caused by the overproduction of ROS, and strengthens the evidence that CO is a potent antioxidant in various abiotic and biotic stresses, as similar results have been shown in animal tissues.
