All-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs)possess attractive merits including superior thermal stability and mechanical flexibility for large-area roll-to-roll *** flexible conjugation-break spacers(FCBSs)into backbones of polymer donor(P_(D))or polymer acceptor(P_(A))has been demonstrated as an efficient approach to enhance both the photovoltaic(PV)and mechanical properties of the ***,length dependency of FCBS on certain all-PSC related properties has not been systematically *** this regard,we report a series of new non-conjugated P_(A)s by incorporating FCBS with various lengths(2,4,and 8 carbon atoms in thioalkyl segments).Unlike com-mon studies on so-called side-chain engineering,where longer side chains would lead to better solubility of those resulting polymers,in this work,we observe that the solubilities and the resulting photovoltaic/mechanical properties are optimized by a proper FCBS length(i.e.,C2)in P_(A) named *** all-PSC achieves a high efficiency of 11.37%,and excellent mechanical robustness with a crack onset strain of 12.39%,significantly superior to those of the other P_(A)*** results firstly demonstrate the effects of FCBS lengths on the PV performance and mechanical properties of the all-PSCs,providing an effective strategy to fine-tune the structures of P_(A)s for highly efficient and mechanically robust PSCs.

This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety between two different doses of intravitreal bevacizumab（IVB） injection with temporal retina-sparing laser（TRSL） photocoagulation for retinopathy of prematurity（ROP）. We retrospectively evaluated 22 eyes of ROP infants who underwent IVB combined with partial TRSL for stage 3＋ zone I or posterior zone II ROP. Laser photocoagulation was applied on the avascular retina, sparing two-discdiameter width temporal avascular area anterior to ridge. A half dose（0.625 mg） or minimal dose（0.25 mg） of IVB was conducted. Four eyes in minimal dose group were retreated with IVB and laser photocoagulation on the spared retina. Of those 4 retreated eyes, three developed preretinal hemorrhage around the ridge after the first treatment, resulting in fibrotic macular dragging. A half dose of IVB may be more effective than a minimal dose with partial TRSL for ROP. Preretinal hemorrhage may be a harbinger of poor prognosis.

Surface-modified liposomes for syndecan 2-targeted delivery of edelfosine

Here, we report that the modification of liposome surfaces with AG73 peptides enhances delivery of the lipophilic anticancer drug, edelfosine, to tumor cells overexpressing the cellsurface receptor, syndecan 2. To test the effect of liposomal surface density of AG73 peptides on cellular uptake, we synthesized AG73 peptide-conjugated polyethylene glycol(MW 2000)lipid and incorporated it into fluorescence dye-labeled anionic liposomes with different ligand densities(1, 2, or 5 mol% of total lipids). Cellular uptake of AG73-peptide–modified liposomes gradually increased in proportion to the surface ligand density. The percentages of cells positive for AG73-modified, fluorescent-dye–labeled liposomes were 19.8 ± 2.0%, 23.1 ± 5.0%,and 99.2 ± 1.0%, for ligand mole percentages of 1, 2, and 5, respectively. The cell-targeting ability of AG73-modified liposomes was not significantly altered by the serum content of culture media. In keeping with the observed enhanced cellular uptake, AG73-peptide–modified liposomes entrapping edelfosine exhibited greater cancer cell-killing effects compared with unmodified liposomes. Following intravenous administration into tumor-bearing mice,AG73-peptide–modified liposomes showed 2.1-fold greater accumulation in tumors than unmodified liposomes. These results support the feasibility of using syndecan 2–directed liposomes for delivery of edelfosine.

The transition of a plant from vegetative to reproductive stage is controlled by a large group of genes, which respond to environmental and endogenous stimuli. Application of methyl jasmonate （MeJA） and gibberellins （GA3） to oilseed plants （Brassica napus L.） interrupts the delicate endogenous balance and results in various floral organ abnormalities. Exogenous MeJA or GA3 influences the transcriptome at the initial fiowenng stage in Arabidopsis, but the corresponding changes of transcriptome in floral tissues of oilseed rape remain unknown. In this study, cDNA-amplified fragment length polymorphism （cDNA-AFLP） was analyzed to identify genes whose expression was modulated by application of MeJA and GA3 to flower buds. A total of 2 787 cDNA fragments were counted using 64 primer pair combinations, and bands larger than 50 bp were compared among four treatments, namely, water control, MeJA （50 μmol L-1）, MeJA （100 μmol L-1）, and GA3 （50 μmol L-1）. Overall, 168 transcript-derived fragments （TDFs） were differentially expressed among the treatments. The expression pattern of some TDFs was confirmed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis, and a group of 106 differentially displayed TDFs was cloned and sequenced. Homologs of Arabidopsis genes were identified and classified into 12 functional categories. A total of 34, 39, and 24 TDFs were responsive to GA3, MeJA, and both GA3 and MeJA, respectively. This finding indicated that cross-talk between these two hormones may be involved in regulating flower development. This study provides potential target genes for manipulation in terms of flowering time and floral organ initiation, important agronomic traits of oilseed rape.

Internet of things(IoT)devices are being increasingly used in numerous ***,the low priority on security and various IoT types have made these devices vulnerable to *** prevent this,recent studies have analyzed firmware in an emulation environment that does not require actual devices and is efficient for repeated ***,these studies focused only on major firmware architectures and rarely considered exotic *** addition,because of the diversity of firmware,the emulation success rate is not high in terms of large-scale *** this study,we propose the adaptive emulation framework for multi-architecture(AEMA).In the field of automated emulation frameworks for IoT firmware testing,AEMA considers the following issues:(1)limited compatibility for exotic firmware architectures,(2)emulation instability when configuring an automated environment,and(3)shallow testing range resulting from structured *** tackle these problems,AEMAcan emulate not onlymajor firmware architectures but also exotic firmware architectures not previously considered,such as Xtensa,ColdFire,and reduced instruction set computer(RISC)version five,by implementing a minority ***,we applied the emulation arbitration technique and input keyword extraction technique for emulation stability and efficient test case *** compared AEMA with other existing frameworks in terms of emulation success rates and fuzz *** a result,AEMA succeeded in emulating 864 out of 1,083 overall experimental firmware and detected vulnerabilities at least twice as fast as the experimental ***,AEMAfound a 0-day vulnerability in realworld IoT devices within 24 h.

Enhanced Oxidation Resistance of Iron Nanoparticles via Surface Modification in Chemical Vapor Condensation Process

In order to prevent the oxide formation on the surface of nano-size iron particles and thereby to improve the oxidation resistance in ordinary condition, iron nanoparticles synthesized by a chemical vapor condensation method were directly soaked in hexadecanethiol solution to coat them with a polymer layer. Oxygen content in the polymer-coated iron nanoparticles was significantly lower than that in usual air-passivated particles possessing iron-core/oxide-shell structure. Accordingly, oxidation resistance of the polymer-coated particles at an elevated temperature below 130℃ in air was 10-40 times higher than that of the normally passivated particles.

Effects of Momentum Ratio and Weber Number on Spray Half Angles of Liquid Controlled Pintle Injector

A pintle injector is advantageous for throttling a liquid rocket engine and reducing engine weight. This study ex- plores the effects of momentum ratio and Weber number at various injection conditions on spray characteristics of the pintle injector for liquid-gas propellants. A liquid sheet is injected from a center pintle nozzle and it is broken by a gas jet from an annular gap. The pressure drops of propellants, and the pintle opening distance were consi- dered as control variables; using 0.1 -1.0 as a bar for the pressure drop of the liquid injection, a 0.01-4）.2 bar for the pressure drop of gas jet and a 0.2 - 1.0 mm for the pintle opening distance. The discharge coefficient was de- creased linearly before the pintle opening distance of 0.75 mm and then, the coefficient was slightly increased. Spray images were captured by a CMOS camera with high resolution. Then, the shadow and reflected images were analyzed. Spray distributions were measured by a pattemator with an axial distance of 50 mm from a pintle tip. Finally, the spray half angles had an exponentially decreasing correlation as a momentum ratio divided by the Weber number. Also, the spray half angles from the spray distribution were underestimated compared to those measured from the captured images.

DPP-4 Inhibitor Linagliptin is Neuroprotective in Hyperglycemic Mice with Stroke via the AKT/mTOR Pathway and Anti-apoptotic Effects

Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors have been shown to have neuroprotective effects in diabetic patients suffering from stroke, but less research has focused on patients with mild hyperglycemia below the threshold for a diagnosis of diabetes. In this investigation, a hyperglycemic mouse model was generated by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin and then subjected to focal cerebral ischemia. We demonstrated that the DPP-4 inhibitor linagliptin significantly decreased the infarct volume, reduced neuronal cell death, decreased inflammation, and improved neurological deficit compared with control mice. Linagliptin up-regulated the expression of p-Akt and p-m TOR and regulated the apoptosis factors Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase 9. Taken together, these results suggest that linagliptin exerts a neuroprotective action likely through activation of the Akt/m TOR pathway along with anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory ***, linagliptin may be considered as a therapeutic treatment for stroke patients with mild hyperglycemia.
