Study on in situ stress testing method based on Kaiser effect of acoustic emission and COMSOL simulation

In situ stress testing can improve the safety and efficiency of coal *** the Kaiser effect point is vital for in situ stress calculations;however,the in situ stress calculation is limited by the rock sampling ***,the Kaiser effect point identification theory is established and applied to the Xuyong Coal *** compression and acoustic emission experiments were carried out on sandstone with 6 sampling ***,COMSOL simulation is applied to study the in situ stress distribution in the coal mine to verify the calculation *** results are as follows.1)The failure mode of non-bedded and vertical-bedded rocks is primarily tensile shear failure with obvious brittleness in mechanical and acoustic emission *** slip along the bedding plane is the primary failure mode of inclined-bedded *** take-off points exist in the AE count curve.2)The Kaiser point identification method based on the variation of AE count curve parametersΔti andτi can effectively calculate the in situ *** to the numerical value of Kaiser point and sampling direction,the in situ stress of the conveyor roadway in the Xuyong Coal Mine was calculated asσ1=22.81 MPa,σ2=10.87 MPa andσ3=6.14 MPa.3)By the COMSOL simulation study,it was found that a stress concentration zone of 16.13 MPa exists near the two sides *** with the Kaiser effect method,the deviation rates of the three-direction principal stress calculated by COMSOL were all less than 5%.This verifies that the in situ stress calculation by Kaiser effect in this study can be applied to the Xuyong Coal Mine.

Callovian-Oxfordian sedimentary microfacies in the middle of Block B on the right bank of the Amu Darya Basin,Turkmenistan

The right bank of the Amu Darya Basin enjoys abundant natural gas resources,on which the Callovian-Oxfordian strata in the middle of Block B serve as the major horizons for natural gas ***,the characteristics and distribution patterns of the sedimentary microfacies in these strata are yet to be further *** on the analysis of data on drilling,logging,cores,and thin sections from 29 typical wells,as well as the regional sedimentary background,this study inferred that the middle of Block B evolved from the Callovian ramp platform into the Oxfordian rimmed ***,this study determined that the inner-ramp intertidal-subtidal shallow-water subfacies mainly developed during the Callovian and transitioned into the shallow shelf subfacies during the *** study identified eight sedimentary microfacies,namely reef knoll,reef-shoal complex,bioclastic shoal,psammitic shoal,bioherm,lime mud mound,intershoal(intermound),and static-water *** on research into the high-precision sequence-sedimentary microfacies framework,this study built a geological model for the development of sedimentary microfacies in the study *** to this geological model,the sedimentary microfacies in the study area are characterized by vertical alternation of reef-shoal complex,bioclastic(psammitic)shoal,bioherm,and intershoal ***,they show the development of reef knoll,reef-shoal complex,bioclastic(psammitic)shoal,and bioherm(or lime mud mound)laterally from west to east,with the physical properties of the reservoirs deteriorating from west to east *** microfacies of reef-shoal complex and the bioclastic(psammitic)shoal predominate in the study area,and their deposition and development are controlled by sequence boundaries and are also affected by *** Oxfordian reef-shoal complexes were largely inherited from the Callovian uplifts and show lateral seaward progradation.

Coal and rock dynamic disaster prevention and control technology in the large mining face of a deep outburst mine

In this study, we systematically studied the occurrence regularity of in situ stress in the Pingdingshan mine. The critical criterion model of coal-rock destabilization was established based on the theoretical framework of fracture mechanics. Furthermore, we analyzed the coupling destabilization mechanism of in situ stress and gas and studied the influence of the variation between original rock stress and mining-induced stress on the critical criterion. Through field experiments and applications, we established a three-dimensional gas drainage technology system for areas with a large mining height and long work face. Based on our research, a demonstration project was developed for deep mine dynamic disaster control. The technical system included the arrangement and optimization of pre-drainage holes along the coal seam, technology, and optimization of gas drainage through the bottom drainage tunnel and upper corner, gas drainage technology through sieve tubes, and a two plugging with one injection under pressure sealing technology. The implementation of the demonstration project effectively reduced the gas content and pressure of the coal seam in the deep mine, and the project increased the critical strength of the instability and failure of coal and rock.

Highly elastic energy storage device based on intrinsically super-stretchable polymer lithium-ion conductor with high conductivity

Stretchable power sources,especially stretchable lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),have attracted increasing attention due to their enormous prospects for powering flexible/wearable *** recent advances,it is still challenging to develop ultra-stretchable LIBs that can withstand large *** particular,stretchable LIBs require an elastic electrolyte as a basic component,while the conductivity of most elastic electrolytes drops sharply during deformation,especially during large *** is why highly stretchable LIBs have not yet been realized until *** a proof of concept,a super-stretchable LIB with strain up to 1200%is created based on an intrinsically super-stretchable polymer electrolyte as the lithium-ion *** super-stretchable conductive system is constructed by an effective diblock copolymerization strategy via photocuring of vinyl functionalized 2-ureido-4-pyrimidone(VFUpy),an acrylic monomer containing succinonitrile and a lithium salt,achieving high ionic conductivity(3.5×10^(-4)mS cm^(-1)at room temperature(RT))and large deformation(the strain can reach 4560%).The acrylic elastomer containing Li-ion conductive domains can strongly increase the compatibility between the neighboring elastic networks,resulting in high ionic conductivity under ultra-large deformation,while VFUpy increases elasticity modulus(over three times)and electrochemical stability(voltage window reaches 5.3 V)of the prepared polymer *** a strain of up to 1200%,the resulting stretchable LIBs are still sufficient to power *** study sheds light on the design and development of high-performance intrinsically super-stretchable materials for the advancement of highly elastic energy storage devices for powering flexible/wearable electronics that can endure large deformation.
