Revealing and predicting the long-term biomechanical response of orthokeratology by developing a patient-specific computational model

Orthokeratology(OK) is widely used for effective myopia correction and control. However, the incomplete understanding of its biomechanical mechanisms makes OK lens fitting rely heavily on clinician judgment, complicating accurate predictions of treatment outcomes. In this paper, we performed clinical experiments and numerical analysis to study corneal deformation modes and long-term changes in central corneal thickness. Clinical experiments were conducted on 194 Chinese myopic patients under OK treatment for 3 months. Based on the experimental data, a patient-specific computational biomechanical model for OK was established and validated. Specifically, the anisotropic mechanical properties of the cornea were incorporated into the model to describe the significant difference between its shear modulus(29.5 kPa) and tensile modulus(768.4 kPa). Additionally, a viscohyperelastic material model with a prolonged corneal relaxation time of 5.6 h was developed to capture the long-term deformation response. The results show that corneal thickness reduction in OK is primarily due to out-of-plane shear deformation,influenced by the cornea's low shear resistance. Modeling the extended corneal relaxation time is crucial for predicting long-term biomechanical responses. The computational model effectively captures long-term changes in central corneal thickness, potentially improving OK lens fitting accuracy.

Dynamic event-triggered data-driven iterative learning bipartite tracking control for nonlinear MASs with prescribed performance

This article proposes a distributed dynamic event-triggered data-driven iterative learning control(DET-DDILC)scheme under a predefined performance to tackle the bipartite tracking control problem for multiagent systems(MASs). An improved dynamic linearization technique is utilized to convert the nonlinear MASs into an iterative linear data model. First,a peer-to-peer mapping function is introduced to map the constrained distributed system output homeomorphism to an unconstrained one. In addition, a DET mechanism based on a time-iteration-varying function is devised to conserve network communication resources. Based on the unconstrained transformation and the designed DET mechanism, the DET-DDILC algorithm is devised to ensure that the bipartite tracking performance of MASs can be within the preset range. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the designed control scheme are demonstrated via a simulation case by a comparison.

术前外周血NLR、PLR对肉芽肿性乳腺炎的诊断价值研究

目的探讨外周血中性粒细胞与淋巴细胞比值(neutrophile-to-lymphocyte rate, NLR)、血小板与淋巴细胞比值(platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, PLR)对肉芽肿性乳腺炎(Granulomatous mastitis, GM)、乳腺癌(breast cancer, BC)、急性乳腺炎(acute mastitis, AM)的诊断价值。方法回顾性分析2020-12—2021-10在上海中医药大学附属龙华医院中医外科就诊的66例GM患者(GM组)、117例BC患者(BC组)和119例AM患者(AM组)的临床资料。比较3组患者外周血中的NLR和PLR指标。使用SPSS 26.0统计软件制作受试者工作特征(receiver operator characteristic, ROC)曲线,评价单项指标对GM的诊断价值。结果 GM组与BC组、GM组与AM组的NLR和PLR的差异均有统计学意义(P0.05)。经ROC曲线分析,NLR和PLR在鉴别GM、BC、AM时,最大约登指数分别为0.458(NLR=2.31)、0.284(PLR=128.49),特异度分别为0.67、0.466,敏感度分别为0.788、0.818。Logisitc回归分析结果显示,高NLR是导致GM的独立影响因素(OR=1.808,P<0.05)。结论 NLR和PLR对GM的诊断有一定价值,与PLR比较,应用NLR诊断GM的效果更佳,且是导致GM的独立影响因素之一。

目的探讨翻转课堂教学法在中医住院医师规范化培训外科教学中的应用价值。方法选取2023-01—2023-12轮转至上海中医药大学附属龙华医院外科的中医住院规培医师60名,分别运用翻转式课堂教学模式(研究组)及传统教学模式(对照组)进行带教。在教学结束后进行基础知识及临床技能考核,并对医学生自主学习能力测评量表及一般自我效能量表进行自评,以评价翻转课堂教学法的效果。将结果录入SPSS 26.0统计学软件进行统计分析。结果研究组基础知识、临床技能水平,以及自主学习能力和一般自我效能感的评分均优于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论翻转课堂教学法有助于提升中医住院医师规范化培训过程中的外科教学效果,激发规培医师的学习动力。

Quantum public-key crypto via EPR pairs

With the development of quantum computing technology, quantum public-key cryptography is gradually becoming an alternative to the existing classical public-key cryptography. This paper designs a quantum trapdoor one-way function via EPR pairs and quantum measurements. Based on this, a new quantum public-key cryptosystem is presented, which offers forward security,and can resist the chosen-plaintext attack and chosen-ciphertext attack. Compared with the existing quantum public-key cryptos,eavesdropping can be automatically detected in this new quantum public-key cryptosystem under a necessary condition, which is also detailed in the paper.

Mechanical Properties of Railway High-strength Manufactured Sand Concrete: Typical Lithology, Stone Powder Content and Strength Grade

In order to achieve the large-scale application of manufactured sand in railway high-strength concrete structure,a series of high-strength manufactured sand concrete(HMC)are prepared by taking the manufactured sand lithology(tuff,limestone,basalt,granite),stone powder content(0,5%,10%,15%)and concrete strength grade(C60,C80,C100)as *** evolution of mechanical properties of HMC and the correlation between cubic compressive strength and other mechanical properties are *** to river sand,manufactured sand enhances the cubic compressive strength,axial compressive strength and elastic modulus of concrete,while its potential microcracks weaken the flexural strength and splitting tensile strength of *** powder content displays both positive and negative effects on mechanical properties of HMC,and the stone powder content is suggested to be less than 10%.The empirical formulas between cubic compressive strength and other mechanical properties are proposed.

Tailor-made high elasticity and low-hysteresis hydrogels based on asymmetric H-bonding crosslinking for wearable applications

The conventional method of fabricating hydrogels constantly confronts the conflict between elasticity and toughness, limiting their repetitive application. Achieving the desired elasticity through a simple and low-cost approach is a significant challenge for hydrogels, particularly through rational molecular design. Here, low-hysteresis and high-toughness hydrogels are developed from the design of a new feature monomer, N-acryloylethylsemicarbazide (NACE). Based on a concept of “asymmetric Hbonding design”, the unique double and triple H-bonding of NACE can result in a novel asymmetric crosslinking polymer with alternating strong and weak H-bonding regions. The NACE is copolymerized with acrylamide (AM) to regulate the mechanical properties of hydrogel via H-bonding density. The P(NACE-AM) ionic hydrogels are obtained simply and rapidly via one-step photopolymerization without a chemical cross-linking agent. The P(NACE-AM) hydrogels combine superb mechanical elasticity and toughness, and excellent ionic conductivity, showing great potential as durable ionic conductive devices for wearable utilization.

桔梗联合阿霉素治疗乳腺癌肺转移小鼠的药代动力学研究

目的:观察桔梗联合阿霉素对乳腺癌肺转移小鼠心脏功能及体内药代动力学的影响,探讨桔梗联合阿霉素治疗乳腺癌肺转移的作用机制。方法:建立乳腺癌肺转移小鼠模型。取模型小鼠100只,随机分为阿霉素组和阿霉素+桔梗组,每组各50只。从肿瘤接种第15天起,阿霉素+桔梗组小鼠灌胃给予1 g·kg^-1·d^-1桔梗醇提物溶液,阿霉素组小鼠灌胃给予等体积纯水,连续14 d。分别于接种第21天和第28天,两组小鼠均腹腔注射10 mg·kg^-1·d^-1阿霉素。末次给药后,采用小动物超声成像系统检测各组小鼠的心脏结构和功能参数;于0、0.083、0.5、1、2、4、6、12、24、36 h,随机选取每组5只小鼠,采集血浆及心脏、肺脏、肿瘤组织样本,LC-MS/MS检测不同时间点小鼠血浆及组织样本中阿霉素的浓度,并计算药动学参数。结果:①与阿霉素组相比,阿霉素+桔梗组小鼠的心脏超声图像波起伏增大,左心室射血分数(LVEF)和左心室短轴缩短率(LVFS)升高,其中LVEF增幅为40%。②阿霉素的体内代谢呈快速吸收与分布、缓慢消除的特点,符合非房室开放模型。与阿霉素组相比,阿霉素+桔梗组给药后0.5、6、24 h的血浆阿霉素浓度显著升高(P0.05)。与阿霉素组相比,阿霉素+桔梗组的药物-时间曲线下面积(AUC0-t)增加30%,峰浓度(Cmax)升高10%,清除率(CL)降低20%。③与阿霉素组相比,阿霉素+桔梗组给药后1、2、24 h的心脏阿霉素浓度显著降低(P<0.05,P<0.01),给药后0.5、12 h的肺脏阿霉素浓度显著升高(P<0.05),给药后0.083 h肿瘤组织阿霉素浓度显著降低(P<0.05)。阿霉素在心脏组织的达峰时间延迟,在肺脏组织的达峰时间提前。结论:桔梗与阿霉素联合应用可在一定程度上提升乳腺癌肺转移小鼠LVEF和LVFS水平,增强心脏泵血功能。桔梗能促进阿霉素在肺部的聚集,降低其在心脏的分布,进而发挥增效减毒的作用。

High Fe‑Loading Single‑Atom Catalyst Boosts ROS Production by Density Effect for Efficient Antibacterial Therapy

The current single-atom catalysts(SACs)for medicine still suffer from the limited active site ***,we develop a synthetic method capable of increasing both the metal loading and mass-specific activity of SACs by exchanging zinc with *** constructed iron SACs(h^(3)-FNC)with a high metal loading of 6.27 wt%and an optimized adjacent Fe distance of~4 A exhibit excellent oxidase-like catalytic performance without significant activity decay after being stored for six months and promising antibacterial ***,a“density effect”has been found at a high-enough metal doping amount,at which individual active sites become close enough to interact with each other and alter the electronic structure,resulting in significantly boosted intrinsic activity of single-atomic iron sites in h^(3)-FNCs by 2.3 times compared to low-and medium-loading ***,the overall catalytic activity of h^(3)-FNC is highly improved,with mass activity and metal mass-specific activity that are,respectively,66 and 315 times higher than those of commercial Pt/*** addition,h^(3)-FNCs demonstrate efficiently enhanced capability in catalyzing oxygen reduction into superoxide anion(O_(2)·^(−))and glutathione(GSH)*** in vitro and in vivo assays demonstrate the superior antibacterial efficacy of h^(3)-FNCs in promoting wound *** work presents an intriguing activity-enhancement effect in catalysts and exhibits impressive therapeutic efficacy in combating bacterial infections.

Mitochondria are cellular organelles that originate from an endosymbiotic bacterial ancestor and are primarily responsible for ATP generation via oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS). OXPHOS is conducted by five mitochondrial respiratory complexes in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Human mitochondria possess a distinct genome, a small, circular, doublestranded DNA (mtDNA) of 16,569 base pairs.
