Biomimetic preparation of elastomeric fibers with micro/nano structures on the surfaces

Bioinspired by the spinning of spider silks,the biomimetic preparation of elastomeric fibers with micro/nano structures on the surfaces was attempted,and as a result,three types of ultrafine fullvulcanized powdered nitrile-butadiene rubber(UFPNBR)/thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU) fibers were *** first fiber was only decorated by the micron-sized grooves on the surface,and the second fiber was dotted by both the micron-sized grooves and nanometer-sized spheres on the surface,while the third fiber was helical and with a concave-convex *** biomimetic preparation mainly consisted of four steps,and the formation mechanism was described as an integrated mechanism of diffusion,coagulation,self assembly,and microphase *** micro/nano structures on the fibers were controlled by changing the mass ratio of UFPNBR to TPU and environment of vertical *** UFPNBR/TPU elastomeric fibers were hoped to have an integrated function of superhydrophobicity,self cleaning,and mechanical improvement of toughness or strength.

In this paper, it is the first time to report the study on the state-to-state rotational energytransfer (RET)of NH2 (A1)(0,9,0)under molecular beam condition in detail. Through asystematic study of the relative population transferred as functions of initially excited quantumstate, including different Ka, nuclear-spin, and even spin-doublet. some propensity rules wereobtained directly.

Calcitonin gene-related peptide inhibits interleukin-1β-induced interleukin-8 secretion in human type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells

Aim:Our previous data have shown that type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial(AEⅡ)cellsexpress neuropeptide calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP),and that pro-in-flammatory factor interleukin 1-β(IL-1β)induces CGRP secretion in the A549 hu-man AEⅡ cell *** the present study,we investigated the effect of endogenousand exogenous CGRP on IL-1β-induced chemokine interleukin-8(IL-8)***:We used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and RT-PCR todetect IL-8 protein and mRNA levels,respectively,siRNA and the stably trans-fected cell line were used to knock down and overexpress the CGRP gene,respectively,and chemiluminescence assay was used to detect reactive oxygenspecies(ROS)***:CGRP-1 receptor antagonist hCGRP8-37(0.1-1nmol·L-1)greatly amplified IL-1β-induced IL-8 *** inhibition of CGRPexpression by siRNA significantly increased IL-8 secretion upon IL-1β ***,cell clones stably transfected with CGRP showed significantly inhibitedmRNA and protein levels of IL-8 induced by 1L-1β.Conclusion:These data implythat AEⅡ cell-derived CGRP suppress IL-1β-induced IL-8 secretion in an autocrine/paracrine *** investigation showed that CGRP attenuated IL-1β-arousedROS formation,which is an early indication of pro-inflammatory factor signaling.

Microdynamics study on reaction of atom H and radical NH(X^3Σ)

The dynamics of the H + NH→N + H2 reaction has been investigated by means of the 3-atom model quasiclassical trajectory approach. The LEPS potential energy surface is employed in the study, which is obtained from the ab initio results and has an early saddle point in the minimum energy path. The results indicate that the reaction product H2 is mainly scattered backward,and the reaction is found to occur via a direct channel. The product H2 is in a cold excitation of rotational state, but has a hot vibrational excitation. Based on the potential surface and the trajectory analysis, the reaction mechanism has been explained successfully.

The second envelope glycoprotein （E2） of hepatitis C virus has been shown to bind human target cells and has become a major target for the development of anti-HCV vaccines. Anti-E2 antibodies have been suggested to be of clinical significance in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of hepatitis C. However, large-scale expression and purification of E2 proteins in mammalian cells is difficult. As an alternative, E2 fragment （aa 385-730） with a four-amino-acid mutation （aa 568-571 PCNI to RVTS） was expressed as hexa-histidine-tagged full length protein [E2N730（m）] in E. coli and purified to over 85% purity. Purified E2N730（m） was specifically recognized by homologous hepatitis C patient serum in Western blot, suggesting that it displayed E2specific antigenicity. Rabbit antiserum raised against E2N730（m） recognized E2 glyco-proteins expressed in mammalian cells in Western blot. AFP(antifungalprotein)是在丝状真菌巨大曲霉 (AspergillusgiganteusMDH18894 )中分泌的一个抗真菌蛋白。其mRNA含长度为 4 30bp的开放阅读框 ,编码 94个氨基酸的AFP前体 ,而成熟的AFP为 5 1个氨基酸的多肽。根据推测 ,在巨大曲霉中 ,AFP前体可能经两步剪切去除前导序列 (4 3个氨基酸 ) ,并最终形成具有抗真菌活性的成熟AFP ,已有报道证实 ,在另一种丝状真菌绿色木霉 (Trichodermaviride)基因组中存在一个类似AFP基因但不表达的序列 ,该序列与没有内含子的AFPcDNA序列完全一样。为了解巨大曲霉AFP基因可否在绿色木霉中表达 ,将AFP基因开放阅读框插入真菌表达载体trpC基因的启动子和终止子之间 ,并成功的转化了绿色木霉。SDS PAGE和Western印迹分析表明 ,绿色木霉转化子分泌表达了具有抗真菌活性的成熟AFP。为研究在绿色木霉中分泌表达具有重要应用价值的异源真核蛋白质打下了基础。

Preparation and properties of solution-processed zinc tin oxide films from a new organic precursor

Transparent,smooth and dense zinc tin oxide (ZTO) thin films have been successfully produced by using a new precursor solution,zinc acetate and tin(II) 2-ethylhexanoate mixed with 2-ethanolamine in *** ZTO films have been prepared by spin-coating,followed by thermal treatment in oxygen *** morphology,composition,crystallinity and band gap energy (Eg) of the ZTO thin films have been characterized by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM),Atomic Emission Spectrometry (AES),X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and UV-vis *** conductivity of ZTO is about 9.8×10-9 S/cm,as estimated from the current-voltage (I-V) *** effect of the thermal treatment process on the morphology of ZTO thin films is also discussed.

Cloning and sequence characteristics of the genomic gene of a rice metallothionein

Northern blot analysis showed that a metallothionein gene, ricMT is expressed strongly in the stem of rice with an expression level that could be more than 100-fold stronger than in leaf blades. The results suggest that the 5’ upstream region flanking the coding sequence of the ricMT may contain a fairly strong promoter To elucidatr its regulation and promoter structure, the genomic clones of ricMT were screened out from a rice genomic library and a fragment of about 4084 bp was sequenced. The fragment included a 5’ upstream region of ca. 2970 bp, a transcription region of ca. 690 bp and a 3’ downstream region of ca. 420 bp. Computer analysis of the sequence homology showed that the 5’ upstream region included a putative TATA box, a putative CAAT box, and a typical metal-responsive element TGCGCGCG. The results will promote further understanding of the mechanisms of gene regulation and metal response of plant metallothionein proteins.

A series of new complexes {2,6-bis[1-((2-methyl-4-methoxyphenyl)imino)ethyl]pyri-dine}MCI2 [M=Fe(Ⅱ) (2), Co(Ⅱ) (3), Ni(Ⅱ) (4), Cu(Ⅱ) (5), Zn(Ⅱ) (6)] have been synthesized. At 25℃, using 500 equiv of methylaluminoxane (MAO), the activities of Fe(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ) catalysts can reach 4.02×106 g/mol-Fehatm for ethylene polymerization and 3.98×105 g/mol-Cohatm for ethylene oligomerization. The effects of polymerization conditions such as reaction temperature, Al/M molar ratio and time on the activity of catalyst have been explored.
