e.sy hydrolysis in alkaline.e.vironme.ts limits the.use.of polyimide.fibe.s in e.vironme.tal prote.tion. The.hydrolysis re.istance.le.e.s of polyimide.fibe.s can be.improve. by crosslinking of the.macromole.ular chains. In this work, crosslinke. polyimide.fibe.s(CPI fibe.s) we.e.produce. by intrinsic carboxyl de.arboxylation for the.first time. The.the.mal stability of the.polyimide.fibe.s containing the.intrinsic carboxyl groups(PIC fibe.s) was studie., and the.te.pe.ature.of the.de.arboxylation-crosslinking re.ction was de.e.mine. to be.450 ℃. The.PIC fibe.s we.e.hotdrawn to initiate.the.mal crosslinking of the.carboxyl groups and mole.ular chain orie.tation at high te.pe.ature. The.CPI fibe.s had high te.sile.stre.gths(0.72-1.46 GPa) and compre.sive.stre.gths(401-604 MPa). The.orie.te. macromole.ule. and che.ically crosslinke. structure.improve. the.tightne.s of the.mole.ular chains and e.dowe. the.CPI fibe.s with e.ce.le.t hydrolytic re.istance. The.CPI-50 fibe. did not dissolve.in a 0.5 wt% NaOH solution during he.ting at 90 ℃ for 10 h, and the.te.sile.stre.gth re.e.tion re.che. 87% whe. tre.te. in 0.5 wt% NaOH solutions at 90 ℃ for 1 h, providing a guarante. for its application in alkaline.corrosive.e.vironme.ts.
