Photoelectrochemical(PEC)energy conversion has emerged as a promising and efficient approach to sustainable energy harvesting and *** utilizing semiconductor photoelectrodes,PEC devices can harness solar energy and drive electrochemical reactions such as water splitting or carbon dioxide(CO_(2))reduction to generate clean fuels and value-added ***,PEC energy conversion faces several challenges such as high overpotential,sluggish reaction kinetics,charge carrier recombination,and stability issues,which limit its practical ***,significant research has been conducted to improve the overall conversion efficiency of PEC *** particularly promising approach is the use of cocatalysts,which involves introducing specific cocatalysts onto the photoelectrode surface to promote charge separation,improve reaction kinetics,and reduce the overpotential,thereby enhancing the overall performance of PEC energy *** review provides a comprehensive overview of the recent developments in the earth-abundant cocatalysts for PEC water splitting and CO_(2) *** main earth-abundant catalysts for the PEC water splitting include transition-metal dichalcogenide(TMD)-based materials,metal phosphides/carbides,and metal oxides/***,PEC-CO_(2)RR was divided into C_(1) and C_(2+)based on the final product since various products could be produced,focusing on diverse earth-abundant materials-based *** addition,we provide and highlight key advancements achieved in the very recent reports on novel PEC system design engineering with ***,the current problems associated with PEC systems are discussed along with a suggested direction to overcome these obstacles.

The presence of renewable energy resources in LV distribution networks may lead to a distribution transformer,also known as a Smart Transformer(ST),experiencing the bidirectional power ***,the ST must have the capability to operate in both ***,the reverse power is less as compared to the forward power,thus the design of ST with the same capacity in both directions increases the hardware cost and decreases the system *** paper proposes a Hybrid-modular-ST(H-ST),composed of a mixed use of single active bridge-based series resonant converter and dual active bridge instead of complete use of uni-or bi-directional converter adopted in the conventional *** on the proposed H-ST,the impacts of power imbalance among cascaded modules in reverse operation mode are analyzed and then an effective solution based on reactive power compensation combined with the characteristics of the proposed architecture is *** simulation and experimental results clearly validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical analyses.

BACKgROUnD Diabetic foot(DMF)complications are common and are increasing in *** factors related to wound complications are yet to be established after transtibial amputation under the diagnosis of DMF *** To analyze the prognosis and risk factors related to wound complications after transtibial amputation in patients with *** This retrospective cohort study included seventy-two patients with DMF complications who underwent transtibial amputation between April 2014 and March *** groups were categorized based on the occurrence of wound complications,and we compared demographic data between the complication group and the non-complication group to analyze risk ***,a multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk *** The average follow-up period was 36.2 *** the 72 cases,31(43.1%)had wound *** these,12 cases(16.7%)received further treatment,such as debridement,soft tissue stump revision,and re-amputation at the proximal *** a group that required further management due to wound complications after transtibial amputation,the hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)level was 9.32,while the other group that did not require any treatment had a 7.54 HbA1c *** prevalence of a history of kidney transplantation with wound complications after transtibial amputation surgery in DMF patients was significantly greater than in cases without wound complications(P=0.02).Other factors did not show significant *** Approximately 43.1%of the patients with transtibial amputation surgery experienced wound complications,and 16.7%required additional surgical *** HbA1c levels and kidney transplant history are risk factors for postoperative wound complications.

The synthesis process of conventional Mn-based denitrification catalysts is relatively complex and *** this paper,a resource application of chlorella was proposed,and a Chlorella@Mn composite denitrification catalyst was innovatively synthesized by electrostatic *** Chlorella@Mn composite denitrification catalyst prepared under the optimal conditions(0.54 g/L Mn^(2+)concentration,20 million chlorellas/mL concentration,450℃ calcination temperature)exhibited a well-developed pore structure and large specific surface area(122 m^(2)/g).Compared with MnOx alone,the Chlorella@Mn composite catalyst achieved superior performance,with~100%nH_(3)selective catalytic reduction(nH_(3)-SCR)denitrification activity at 100-225℃.The results of nH_(3)temperature-programmed desorption(nH_(3)-TPD)and H_(2)temperature-programmed reduction(H_(2)-TPR)showed that the catalyst had strong acid sites and good redox *** potential testing showed that the electronegativity of the chlorella cell surface could be used to enrich with Mn^(2+).X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)confirmed that Chlorella@Mn had a high content of Mn^(3+)and surface chemisorbed ***-situ diffuse refectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS)experimental results showed that both Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)and Eley-Rideal(E-R)mechanisms play a role in the denitrification process on the surface of the Chlorella@Mn catalyst,where the main intermediate nitrate species is monodentate *** presence of SO_(2)promoted the generation and strengthening of Bronsted acid sites,but also generated more sulfate species on the surface,thereby reducing the denitrification activity of the Chlorella@Mn *** Chlorella@Mn composite catalyst had the characteristics of short preparation time,simple process and low cost,making it promising for industrial application.
