Semicrystalline Unfused Polymer Donors with Backbone Halogenation toward Cost-Effective Organic Solar Cells

Developing novel unfused building blocks with simple synthesis and low cost is essential to advance and enrich cost-effective poly-mer donors;however,it remains a challenge due to the lack of efficient molecular ***,a class of low-cost and fully unfused polymer donors with precisely regulated backbone planarity via halogenation was designed and synthesized,namely PDTBTBz-2H,PDTBTBz-2F,and *** polymer donors possess a four-step synthesis route with over 80%yield from cheap raw chemicals comparable to existing low-cost polymer donors,such as *** from the planar backbone via in-corporating the F…S non-covalent interactions,PDTBTBz-2F exhibits more robust j-type aggregation in solution and a long-ranged molecular stacking in film relative to PDTBTBz-2H and ***,the systematical study of PDTBTBz-based organic so-lar cells(OSCs)reveals the close relationship between optimized molecular self-assembly and charge separation/transport regarding backbone halogenation when paired with the non-fullerene acceptor(Y6-BO-4F).As a result,the photovoltaic devices based on semicrystalline PDTBTBz-2F achieved a promising power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 12.37%.Our work highlighted the influence of backbone halogenation on the molecular self-assembly properties and a potential unfused backbone motif for further developing cost-effective OSCs.

Anti-neuro-inflammatory effects of Nardostachys chinensis in lipopolysaccharide-and lipoteichoic acid-stimulated microglial cells

Excessive microglial cell activation is related to the progression of chronic neuro-inflammatory disorders. Heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) expression mediated by the NFE2-related factor(Nrf-2) pathway is a key regulator of neuro-inflammation. Nardostachys chinensis is used as an anti-malarial, anti-nociceptive, and neurotrophic treatment in traditional Asian medicines. In the present study, we examined the effects of an ethyl acetate extract of N. chinensis(EN) on the anti-neuro-inflammatory effects mediated by HO-1 up-regulation in Salmonella lipopolysaccharide(LPS)- or Staphylococcus aureus lipoteichoic acid(LTA)-stimulated BV2 microglial cells. Our results indicated that EN suppressed pro-inflammatory cytokine production and induced HO-1 transcription and translation through Nrf-2/antioxidant response element(ARE) signaling. EN markedly inhibited LPS- and LTA-induced activation of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-?B) as well as phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs) and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT). Furthermore, EN protected hippocampal HT22 cells from indirect neuronal toxicity mediated by LPS- and LTA-treated microglial cells. These results suggested that EN impairs LPS- and LTA-induced neuro-inflammatory responses in microglial cells and confers protection against indirect neuronal damage to HT22 cells. In conclusion, our findings indicate that EN could be used as a natural anti-neuro-inflammatory and neuroprotective agent.

Effects of Nitrogen Source and Bacterial Elicitor on Isoflavone Accumulation in Root Cultures of Albizzia kalkora （Roxb.） Prain

Changes in cellular isoflavone （daidzein and genistein） contents were monitored in root cultures of Albizzia kalkora （Roxb.） Prain after feeding different ratios of NH4^＋/NO3^- and treatment with a biotic elicitor （three strains of Rhizobium sp.）. The NH4^＋/NO3^- ratio appears to be positively correlated with daidzein content in the roots and shows a negative correlation with genistein. Among the three different strains of Rhizobium used, the strain ATCC 15834 caused a 35% increase in daidzein production by infection. In the case of genistein, maximum production （94%） was obtained when cultures were treated on Day 6 by the strains ATCC 15834 and KCTC 1541. The biosynthetic pathway of the two isoflavones apparently reacts differently to the same culture conditions and the same strains of Rhizobium. Therefore, the present data suggest that the production of daidzein and genistein could be modulated by changing the NH4^＋/NO3^- ratio and the application of Rhizobium.

OPTIMUM ORDERING POLICY FOR PREVENTIVE AGE REPLACEMENT

Most of the spare ordering policies treated up to now have assumed that preventive and corrective replacement costs are equal, which implies in essential that there is no significant need for preventive replacement. This paper presents an ordering policy for preventive age replacement with minimal repair. Introducing the replacement, repair, inventory holding and shortage costs, the expected cost rate is derived. A procedure to determine jointly the ordering time for a spare and the preventive replacement time for the operating unit so as to minimize the expected cost rate is proposed. To explain the ordering policy and the optimization procedure, a numerical example is also included.

Effect of Ni and Mn on the Mechanical Properties of 22Cr Microduplex Stainless Steel

The tensile properties of 22Cr–2Ni–4Mn–0.2N micro-duplex stainless steels with different Ni and Mn contents were investigated. Duplex stainless steels were vacuum induction melted and hot rolled, then annealed at 1,000–1,100 °C, at which temperature both the austenite and ferrite phases were stable. The volume fraction of the ferrite phase was markedly affected by the alloying elements of Mn and Ni; 1 wt% of Mn was equivalent to 0.4 wt% of Ni. All of the steels tested at room temperature showed the common strain-hardening behavior, while the steels tested at lower temperatures（-30 or-50 °C）showed a distinct inflection point in their stress–strain curves, which resulted from the transformation of the austenite to straininduced martensite. The onset strain（e0） of the inflection point in the stress–strain curve depended on the Md30 value of the steel. Testing at lower temperatures resulted in smaller e0 and consequently higher strengths and fracture strains（ef）. The tensile behavior was examined from the perspective of austenite stability of the micro-duplex stainless steels with the different Ni and Mn contents.

Feline animals can run quickly using spinal joints as well as the joints that make up their four *** paper describes the development of a quadruped robot including a spinal joint that biomimics feline *** developed robot platform consists of four legs with a double 4-bar linkage type and one simplified rotary *** addition,Q-learning,a type of machine learning,was used to find the optimal motion profile of the spinal *** bounding gait was implemented on the robot system using the motion profile of the spinal joint,and it was confirmed that using the spinal joint can achieve a faster Center of Mass(CoM)forward speed than not using the spinal *** the motion profile obtained through Q-learning did not exactly match the spinal angle of a feline animal,which is more multiarticular than that of the developed robot,the tendency of the actual feline animal spinal motion profile,which is sinusoidal,was similar.

Development of a valid and reliable seven emotions impairment questionnaire and assessment of its predictability for phlegm and blood stasis

OBjECTIVE:To develop and validate a Seven Emotions Impairment questionnaire(SEIQ),to define an optimum cut-off point for the SEIQ,and to examine whether SEI was predictive of Phlegm and Blood Stasis(BS).METHODS:Two hundred outpatients and 75 college students were asked to complete the SEIQ,the Profile of Mood States(POMS),Phlegm Pattern Questionnaire(PPQ),and BS Questionnaire(BSQ).Twelve clinicians determined whether the outpatients exhibited *** data were used to examine the internal consistency and determine validity for the ***,POMS,PPQ,and BSQ data were used to examine concurrent validity and predictability of SEI for Phlegm and BS in the college *** SEIQ scores and the clinicians' diagnoses of the outpatients were considered to define an optimum cut-off score for the ***:The 18-item SEIQ had satisfactory internal consistency(α = 0.905) and concurrent *** the construct validity test,four factors(chest-anxiety,fatigue-depression,working-family-troubles,and sleep-memory) were *** the receiver operator characteristic curve curve analysis,the sensitivity,specificity,and area under the curve of the SEIQ were 67.2%,72.1%,and 73%,*** optimum cut-off score was defined as nine *** scores were strongly predictive of Phlegm and BS(β = 0.862 and 0.673,respectively).CONCLUSION:Based on our results,we concluded that the SEIQ is a reliable and valid instrument for evaluating SEI,and is strongly predictive of Phlegm and BS.

Cardiff acne disability index： cross-cultural translation in Korean and its relationship with clinical acne severity, pathological patterns, and general quality of life

OBjECTIVE: To culturally translate the cardiff acne disability index(CADI) into Korean, and to examine its relationship with clinical acne severity,pathological patterns, and general quality of life(Qo L).METHODS: The CADI was culturally and lin-guistically translated into Korean via translation,back-translation, and face validity test process. Two hundred and fifty-four Korean adolescents were asked to complete the Korean version of the CADI(K-CADI), the Phlegm Pattern, the Cold-Heat Pattern, and the Korean version of the General Health Questionnaires. A clinician estimated acne severity for the adolescents, using the Korean Acne Grading System. Finally, reliability and validity of the K-CADI was examined, and the relationships between acne severity, Phlegm, Cold, and Heat patterns, and Qo L level were examined via pathway ***: The K-CADI had satisfactory internal consistency(α = 0.827). The examination of construct validity indicated that the K-CADI had one factor(explaining 59.6% of the total variance). Pathway analysis showed satisfactory model fit(normal fit index = 0.960 and comparative fit index = 0.983),and acne-related Qo L was determinant to Phlegm,Heat, and Cold patterns(0.13-0.27 of β), and Phlegm and Heat patterns lowered one's Qo L level(0.17-0.34 of β).CONCLUSION: The K-CADI is a valid and reliable instrument. Phlegm and Heat patterns should be managed when treating acne since they have a moderating effect on general Qo L aggravation.

Reliability and validity of tongue color analysis in the prediction of symptom patterns in terms of East Asian Medicine

OBjECTIVE:To examine whether color parameters of tongue inspection(TI)using a digital camera was reliable and valid,and to examine which color parameters serve as predictors of symptom patterns in terms of East Asian medicine(EAM).METHODS:Two hundred female subjects'tongue substances were photographed by a mega-pixel digital *** with the photographs,the subjects were asked to complete Yin deficiency,Phlegm pattern,and Cold-Heat pattern *** three sets of digital imaging software,each digital image was exposure-and white balance-corrected,and finally L*(luminance),a*(red-green balance),and b*(yellow-blue balance)values of the tongues *** examine intra-and inter-rater reliabilities and criterion validity of the color analysis method,three raters were asked to calculate color parameters for 20 digital image ***,four hierarchical regression models were ***:Color parameters showed good or excellent reliability(0.627-0.887 for intra-class correlation coefficients)and significant criterion validity(0.523-0.718 for Spearman's correlation).In the hierarchical regression models,age was a significant predictor of Yin deficiency(β=0.192),and b*value of the tip of the tongue was a determinant predictor of Yin deficiency,Phlegm,and Heat patterns(β=-0.212,-0.172,and-0.163).Luminance(L*)was predictive of Yin deficiency(β=-0.172)and Cold(β=0.173)***:Our results suggest that color analysis of the tongue using the L*a*b*system is reliable and valid,and that color parameters partially serve as symptom pattern predictors in EAM practice.

Three-dimensional endoanal ultrasonographic assessment of an anal fistula with and without H_2O_2 enhancement

AIM： To evaluate the effectiveness of three-dimensional endoanal ultrasound （3D-EAUS） in the assessment of anal fistulae with and without H202 enhancement. METHODS： Sixty-one patients （37 males, aged 17-74 years） with anal fistulae, which were not simple low types, were evaluated by physical examination and 3D-EAUS with and without enhancement. Fistula classification was determined with each modality and compared to operative findings as the reference standard. RESULTS： The accuracy of 3D-EAUS was significantly higher than that of physical examination in detecting the primary tract （84.4% vs 68.7%, P = 0.037） and secondary extension （81.8% vs 62.1%, P = 0.01） and localizing the internal opening （84.2% vs 59.7%, P = 0.004）. A contrast study with H202 detected several more fistula components including two primary suprasphincteric fistula tracks and one supralevator secondary extension, which were not detected on non-contrast study. However, there was no significant difference in accuracy between 3D-EAUS and H202- enhanced 3D-EAUS with respect to classification of the primary tract （84.4% vs 89.1%, P = 0.435） or secondary extension （81.8% vs 86.4%, P = 0.435） or localization of the internal opening （84.2% vs 89.5%, P = 0.406）. CONCLUSION： 3D-EAUS was highly reliable in the diagnosis of an anal fistula. H2O2 enhancement was helpful at times and selective use in difficult cases may be economical and reliable.
