Aqueous Zn-ion batteries （AZIBs） h.ve received considerable attention owing to th.ir various advantages such.as safety,low cost,simple battery assembly conditions,and h.gh.ionic ***,th.y still suffer from serious problems,including uncontrollable dendrite growth.corrosion,h.drogen evolution reaction （h.R） from water decomposition,electrode passivation,and unexpected *** creation of a uniform artificial nanocrystal layer on th. Zn anode surface is a promising strategy for resolving th.se ***,we propose th. use of a perovskite CaTiO3（CTO） protective layer on Zn（CTO@Zn） as a promising approach.for improving th. performance of *** CTO artificial layer provides an efficient path.ay for Zn ion diffusion towards th. Zn metal because of th. h.gh.dielectric constant （εr=180） and ferroelectric ch.racteristics th.t enable th. alignment of dipole moments and redistribute th. Zn2+ions in th. CTO *** avoiding th. direct contact of th. Zn anode with.th. electrolyte solution,th. uneven dendrite growth.corrosion,parasitic side reactions,and h.R are mitigated,wh.le CTO retains its mech.nical and ch.mical robustness during ***,CTO@Zn demonstrates an improved lifespan in a symmetric cell configuration compared with.bare ***@Zn sh.ws steady overpotential （～68 m V） for 1500 h.at 1 mA cm-2/0.5 mA h.cm-2,excelling bare ***,wh.n paired with.th. Data deduplication （dedupe for sh.rt） is a special data compression tech.ique. It h.s been widely adopted to save backup time as well as storage space, particularly in backup storage systems. Th.refore, most dedupe research.h.s primarily focused on improving dedupe write performance. h.wever, backup storage dedupe read performance is also a crucial problem for storage recovery. Th.s paper designs a new dedupe storage read cach. for backup applications th.t improves read performance by exploiting a special ch.racteristic： th. read sequence is th. same as th. write sequence. Consequently, for better cach. utilization, by looking ah.ad for future references with.n a moving window, it evicts victims from th. cach. h.ving th. smallest future access. Moreover~ to furth.r improve read cach. performance. it maintains a small log buffer to judiciously cach. future access data ch.nks. Extensive experiments with.real-world backup workloads demonstrate th.t th. proposed read cach. sch.me improves read performance by up to 64.3%

We explain th. functional projective lag synch.onization of a h.perch.otic Rossler system with.four unknown parameters, wh.re th. output of th. master system lags beh.nd th. output of th. slave system proportionally. Based on Lyapunov stability th.ory, an active control meth.d and adaptive control law are employed to make th. states of two h.perch.otic Rossler systems asymptotically synch.onized. Finally, some numerical examples are provided to sh.w th. effectiveness of our results.

An approach.for analyzing and optimizing sealing mech.nism of ball valve made of nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR) with.finite element meth.d was presented. Th. Mooney-Rivlin h.perelastic material model was ch.sen to ch.racterize NBR sealing, as it h.s been recommended in th. similar applications. Th.t is, NBR sealing was modeled as incompressible h.perelasticity, as well as th. assumption of isotropic flow. Th. results illustrate th. structural pressure and contact pressure on th. contact surface, wh.ch.sh.ws th.t th. NBR sealing mech.nism is very suitable for sealing after dimension optimization.

Occupant-centric control (OCC) strategies rely on different algorith.s to learn and predict occupants’ patterns and preferences, th.n utilize th.se predictions to optimize building operations. h.wever, testing different OCC algorith.s or fine-tuning th.ir configurations in real buildings can be a length. process. To th.s end, we present a framework for testing OCCs in a simulation environment prior to field implementation. Th. proposed workflow entails using synth.tic occupant beh.viour models and simulating OCC strategies to learn th.ir preferences. Th. goal is to enable quick comparison of different OCC configurations under various scenarios by modifying occupant beh.viour assumptions, as well as climate and design parameters. For proof-of-concept, th. proposed meth.d was applied in a case-study to simulate OCCs for ligh.ing and h.ating/cooling setpoint adjustments in a single office under various occupant types, as well as OCC settings and design configurations. Results demonstrated th. benefits of th. proposed framework and its potential for providing a more h.listic evaluation of OCCs under different scenarios. Using th. proposed framework, building designers and operators can identify potential issues with.OCCs and fine-tune th.ir settings prior to field implementation.

h.t data identification is crucial for many applications th.ugh.few investigations h.ve examined th. subject. All existing studies focus almost exclusively on frequency. h.wever, effectively identifying h.t data requires equally considering recency and frequency. Moreover, previous studies make h.t data decisions at th. data block level. Such.a fine-grained decision fits particularly well for flash.based storage because its random access ach.eves performance comparable with.its sequential access. h.wever, h.rd disk drives （h.Ds） h.ve a significant performance disparity between sequential and random access. Th.refore, unlike flash.based storage, exploiting asymmetric h.D access performance requires making a coarse-grained decision. Th.s paper proposes a novel h.t data identification sch.me adopting multiple bloom filters to efficiently ch.racterize recency as well as frequency. Consequently, it not only consumes 50% less memory and up to 58% less computational overh.ad, but also lowers false identification rates up to 65% compared with.a state-of-th.-art sch.me. Moreover, we apply th. sch.me to a next generation h.D tech.ology, i.e., Sh.ngled Magnetic Recording （SMR）, to verify its effectiveness. For th.s, we design a new h.t data identification based SMR drive with.a coarse-grained decision. Th. experiments demonstrate th. importance and benefits of accurate h.t data identification, th.reby improving th. proposed SMR drive performance by up to 42%.

Ch.nges in cellular isoflavone （daidzein and genistein） contents were monitored in root cultures of Albizzia kalkora （Roxb.） Prain after feeding different ratios of Nh.^＋/NO3^- and treatment with.a biotic elicitor （th.ee strains of Rh.zobium sp.）. Th. Nh.^＋/NO3^- ratio appears to be positively correlated with.daidzein content in th. roots and sh.ws a negative correlation with.genistein. Among th. th.ee different strains of Rh.zobium used, th. strain ATCC 15834 caused a 35% increase in daidzein production by infection. In th. case of genistein, maximum production （94%） was obtained wh.n cultures were treated on Day 6 by th. strains ATCC 15834 and KCTC 1541. Th. biosynth.tic path.ay of th. two isoflavones apparently reacts differently to th. same culture conditions and th. same strains of Rh.zobium. Th.refore, th. present data suggest th.t th. production of daidzein and genistein could be modulated by ch.nging th. Nh.^＋/NO3^- ratio and th. application of Rh.zobium.

Aluminum welding using a h.brid system with.a laser and scanner welding h.ad was performed under various welding conditions to verify th. feasibility of applying an aluminum alloy to a car *** experimental material was 5J32 aluminum alloy,and th. laser power,welding speed,and laser incidence angle were used as th. control *** weld bead sh.pe and th. tensile sh.ar strength.were evaluated in order to understand th. aluminum lap joint weld *** of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to identify th. effect of th. process variables on th. tensile sh.ar *** strength.estimation models using th.ee different regression models were also *** input variables were th. laser power,welding speed,and laser incidence angle,and th. output was th. tensile sh.ar *** th. models,th. second-order polynomial estimation model h.d th. best estimation performance,and th. average error rate of th.s model was 0.058.

Most of th. spare ordering policies treated up to now h.ve assumed th.t preventive and corrective replacement costs are equal, wh.ch.implies in essential th.t th.re is no significant need for preventive replacement. Th.s paper presents an ordering policy for preventive age replacement with.minimal repair. Introducing th. replacement, repair, inventory h.lding and sh.rtage costs, th. expected cost rate is derived. A procedure to determine jointly th. ordering time for a spare and th. preventive replacement time for th. operating unit so as to minimize th. expected cost rate is proposed. To explain th. ordering policy and th. optimization procedure, a numerical example is also included.
