Mixed-dimensional composite structures using zero-dimensional(0D)quantum dots(QDs)and two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials are expected to attract great interest in optoelectronics due to the potential to generate new optical ***,we report on the unique optical characteristics of a devices with mixed dimensional vertically stacked structures based on tungsten diselenide(WSe_(2))/CdSeS QDs monolayer/molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))(2D/0D/2D).Specifically,it exhibits an ambipolar photoresponse characteristic,with a negative photoresponse observed in the 400-600 nm wavelength range and a positive photoresponse appeared at 700 nm *** resulted in the high negative responsivity of up to 52.22 mA·W^(−1)under 400 nm,which is 163 times higher than that of the photodetector without CdSeS *** also demonstrated the negative photoresponse,which could be due to increased carrier collision probability and non-radiative *** modeling and simulation reveal that Auger recombination among the types of non-radiative recombination is the main cause of negative photocurrent ***,we discovered ambipolar photoresponse near a specific wavelength corresponding to the energy of quantum *** study revealed interesting phenomenon in the mixed low-dimensional stacked structure and paved the way to exploit it for the development of innovative photodetection materials as well as for optoelectronic applications.

Delphi study for developing a checklist of adverse events associated with acupotomy

Background: Acupotomy, a more invasive procedure than acupuncture, involves the use of a thicker needle with an integrated knife at the tip, necessitating safety research. We aimed to define relevant adverse events(AEs) and create a standardized form of the ACUPOtomy-related AEs CHECKlist(ACUPOCHECK).Methods: Before conducting the Delphi process, a systematic review and pilot prospective study were conducted to gather information on previously reported AEs. Using these data, pilot versions of the ACUPOCHECK and Delphi questionnaires were developed. The Delphi questionnaire involved selecting types of AE for inclusion, establishing separate criteria for acupotomy-related AEs, and achieving a consensus on AE assessment. Thirteen Korean doctors with experience in acupotomy or AE research were recruited to participate in each Delphi round. Consensus was considered to have been reached if the critical value for the content validity ratio met or exceeded ***: The final ACUPOCHECK was developed using four rounds of the Delphi method and one face-toface consensus meeting. It included 12 local AEs(pain, hemorrhage, bruise, hematoma, edema, pruritus,rash, infection, nerve damage, dysesthesia, movement impairment, and pneumothorax) and 14 systemic AEs(disease aggravation, needle fatigue, sleepiness, procedural nausea, procedural vomiting, procedural headache, procedural dizziness, sweating, procedural shock, syncope, dyspnea, procedural pain, sleep disorder, and postprocedural infection). Separate criteria were established for pain, hemorrhage and bruising: pain was defined as pain that occurrs during daily activities and persists for longer than 72 h,hemorrhage as bleeding that continues for ≥ 3 min despite pressure application, and bruising as having a bruise with a diameter of ≥ 3 cm. Objective: Atopic dermatitis(AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that may be linked to changes in the gut microbiome. Acupuncture has been proven to be effective in reducing AD symptoms without serious adverse events, but its underlying mechanism is not completely understood. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the potential effect of acupuncture on AD is gut ***: AD-like skin lesions were induced by applying MC903 topically to the cheek of the *** was done at the Gok-Ji(LI11) acupoints. AD-like symptoms were assessed by lesion scores,scratching behavior, and histopathological changes; intestinal barrier function was measured by fecal output, serum lipopolysaccharide levels, histopathological changes, and mRNA expression of markers involved in intestinal permeability and inflammation. Gut microbiota was profiled using 16S rRNA gene sequencing from fecal ***: Acupuncture effectively improved chronic itch as well as the AD-like skin lesions with epidermal thickening, and also significantly altered gut microbiota structure as revealed by β-diversity indices and analysis of similarities. These beneficial effects were eliminated by antibiotic depletion of gut microbiota,but were reproduced in gut microbiota-depleted mice that received a fecal microbiota transplant from acupuncture-treated mice. Interestingly, AD mice had intestinal barrier dysfunction as indicated by increased intestinal permeability, atrophy of the mucosal structure(reduced villus height and crypt depth), decreased expression of tight junctions and mucus synthesis genes, and increased expression of inflammatory mediators in the ileum. Objective: Precision medicine approaches emphasize the importance of reliable prognostic tools for guiding individualized therapy decisions. In this study, we evaluated the clinical feasibility of the single patient classifier(SPC) test, a new clinical-grade prognostic assay, in stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ gastric cancer ***: A prospective multicenter study was conducted, involving 237 patients who underwent gastrectomy between September 2019 and August 2020 across nine hospitals. The SPC test was employed to stratify patients into risk groups, and its feasibility and performance were evaluated. The primary endpoint was the proportion of the cases in which the test results were timely delivered before selecting postoperative treatment. Furthermore, 3-year disease-free survivals of risk groups were ***: The SPC test met the primary endpoint criteria. The 99.5% of SPC tests were timely delivered to hospitals before the postoperative treatment started. In a clinical setting, the median time from the specimen transfer to laboratory to the result delivery to hospital was 4 d. Furthermore, 3-year disease-free survivals were significantly different between risk groups classified with SPC ***: This study highlights the SPC test's feasibility in offering crucial information timely delivered for making informed decisions regarding postoperative treatment strategies. It also provides evidence to support the implementation of a future prospective clinical trial aimed at evaluating the clinical utility of the SPC test in guiding personalized treatment decisions for gastric cancer patients.

In this study, changes in climatological conditions around the KoreanPeninsula are estimated quantitatively using various types of high order statistical analyses. Thetemperature data collected from Incheon station have been analyzed for the assessment of the climatevariation. According to our analysis, the climate changes observed over the Korean Peninsula forthe last century are similar to the global observational data in many respects. First of all, thewarming trend [+1.5℃ (100 yr)^(-1)] and the overall evolving pattern throughout the century axequite similar to each other. The temperature change in the Korean Peninsula is about two to threetimes larger than that of the global scale which may partially be ascribed to the influence ofurbanization at mid and high latitudes. In this work, a new Winter Monsoon Index (WMI) is suggestedbased on the European continental scale circulation index (EU1) pattern. Our WMI is defined as thenormalized sea level pressure (SLP) difference in the winter period between the centers of the EastSea and west of Lake Baikal in Siberia, the two eastern centers of the EU1 action patterns. A strongsimilarity is found between the time series of the WMI and surface air temperature at Incheon. TheWMI has decreased gradually since the 1920s but has shifted to a rapid increasing trend in the lasttwo decades; it was in fact accompanied by a weakening of the Siberian High and a decreasing of thenortherly during winter. Our findings of the close correlations between the surface air temperatureat Incheon and the WMI strongly indicate that our newly suggested index is unique and can be used asan efficient tool to predict climate variability in Korea.
