Objective. The placental site trophoblastic tumor is a rare form of gestational trophoblastic disease. Fifteen percent of reported cases have been fatal, but predicting behavior in individual patients has been challenging. Methods. The clinical, gross and histopathological features of 55 cases and 180 cases in the literature were analyzed for their effect on survival and in relation to tumor stage. results. The 55 patients in our series were 20 to 62 (average 32) years of age. The tumors occurred on an average of 34 months after the last known gestation. 84% were stage I, 2% stage II, 5% stage III, and 9% stage IV. Serum levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG)were elevated (average 691 mIU/ml) in 77% of the cases. The tumors were on average 5 cm in greatest dimension and were composed microscopically of infiltrative sheets of intermediate (extravillous) trophoblastic cells. The mitotic rate ranged from 0 to 20 (average 5.0) per 10 high power fields. The follow- up interval averaged 4.6 years. Eight patients (15% ) died from metastatic tumor, and nine additional patients had metastases or a recurrence but were alive at last contact. The most common metastatic sites were the lungs, liver, and vagina. Conclusions. Significant factors associated with adverse survival in the present series were age over 35 years (P = 0.025), interval since the last pregnancy of over 2 years (P = 0.014), deep myometrial invasion (P = 0.006), stage III or IV (P hCG level > 1000 mIU/ml (P = 0.034), extensive coagulative necrosis (P = 0.024), high mitotic rate (P = 0.005), and the presence of cells with clear cytoplasm (P r cytoplasm were independent predictors of overall survival, while stage and age were the only independent predictors of time to recurrence or disease- free survival. Interfacial modulation of bifunctional electrolyte additive engineering for dendrite-free and robust lithium metal anode

Anode materials for rechargeable electric car batteries are obtained from Li-metal owing to their extremely high specific capacity and low redox ***,safety concerns related to dendrite formation on the anode surface caused by the uneven distribution of Li-ions during the discharge process interfere with the use of Li-metal in industrial *** this study,methyl vinyl sulfone(MVS),a sulfone-based functional electrolyte additive,is used in an additive engineering strategy to control Lielectrolyte interactions and address the aforementioned *** dendrite growth may be restricted,and transition metal degradation on the surface of the cathode can be reduced by the MVS-derived functional electrolyte additive interfacial *** electrochemical performance of an ethylene carbonate/dimethyl carbonate(EC/DMC)+1 wt% MVS Li-metal anode of a Li||Li symmetric cell exhibits remarkable cycle stability,maintaining a low overvoltage for over 750 h at 1 mA cm^(-2),and capacity of 1 mA h cm^(-2).Additionally,LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811) full cells with the MVS additive exhibit enhanced electrochemical stability for 250 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g^(-1).This study provides an innovative approach for stabilizing the metal-electrolyte interfacial layer that may be used for practical applications in metal-based rechargeable batteries.

The CUL3A–LFh1–UBC15 ubiquitin ligase complex mediates ShOrT VEGETATIVE PhASE degradation to accelerate flowering at high ambient temperature

Ambient temperature affects flowering time in plants,and the MADS-box transcription factor ShOrT VEGETATIVE PhASE(SVP)plays a crucial role in the response to changes in ambient *** protein stability is regulated by the 26S proteasome pathway and decreases at high ambient temperature,but the details of SVP degradation are ***,we show that SVP degradation at high ambient temperature is mediated by the CULLIN3–rING E3 ubiquitin ligase(CrL3)complex in Arabidopsis *** identified a previously uncharacterized protein that interacts with SVP at high ambient temperature and contains a BTB/POZ *** named this protein LATE FLOWErING AT hIGh TEMPErATUrE 1(LFh1).Single mutants of LFh1 or CULLIN3A(CUL3A)showed late flowering specifically at 27***1 protein levels increased at high ambient *** found that LFh1 interacts with CUL3A in the cytoplasm and is important for SVP–CUL3A complex *** in CUL3A and/or LFh1 led to increased SVP protein stability at high ambient temperature,suggesting that the CUL3–LFh1 complex functions in SVP *** E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes(UBCs)using rING-BOX PrOTEIN 1(rBX1),a component of the CrL3 complex,as bait identified ***15 mutants also showed late flowering at high ambient *** vitro and in vivo ubiquitination assays using recombinant CUL3A,LFh1,rBX1,and UBC15 showed that SVP is highly ubiquitinated in an ATP-dependent ***,these results indicate that the degradation of SVP at high ambient temperature is mediated by a CrL3 complex comprising CUL3A,LFh1,and UBC15.

In this paper,we study tidal forces in the Schwarzschild black hole,whose metric explicitly includes a generalized uncertainty principle(GUP)*** also investigate interesting features of the geodesic equations and tidal effects that are dependent on the GUP parameterαrelated to a minimum ***,by solving the geodesic deviation equations explicitly with appropriate boundary conditions,we show thatαin the effective metric affects both the radial and angular components of the geodesic equation,particularly near the singularities.

Adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines and their association with depressive symptoms in adolescents: Evidence from Bangladesh

healthy movement behaviours are associated with various physical and mental wellbeing;however,little is known about such associations in low-and middle-income *** aim of this study was to examine adherence to 24-hour.h.movement guidelines and their relationship with depressive symptoms in *** were from 312 Bangladeshi adolescents aged 13-17 years(42%female).Meeting the guidelines was defined as:energy expenditure for physical activity(PA)1680 Metabolic Equivalent of Task(MET)-min/week,2 h/day of recreational screen time(ST),and 8-10 h/night of *** symptoms were assessed using the 10-item Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale(CESD-10)with a score of 10 or more indicating high depressive *** of adolescents meeting the three recommendations was 2.2%,with 17.6%meeting two,and 31.2%meeting one *** estimating equations showed that odds of having high depressive symptoms was a third(odds ratio[Or]=0.35,95%confidence interval[CI],0.19-0.57)for meeting the PA guidelines,and about a half(Or=0.47,95%CI,0.18-0.87)for meeting the sleep *** of depressive symptoms reduced significantly for meeting PA and sleep(Or=0.20,95%CI,0.09-0.59),or PA and ST(Or=0.24,95%CI,0.08-0.55)*** half of the adolescents did not meet any recommendations,which underscores the need for public health campaigns to promote adherence to the movement guidelines in this pediatric *** longitudinal resear.h.with larger sample size is recommended to explore the inter-relationships of these behaviours and their impact on health and wellbeing outcomes of adolescents in Bangladesh.
