The lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been widely equipped in electric/hybrid electric vehicles(EVs/HEVs)and the portable electronics due to their excellent electrochemical ***,a large number of retired LIBs that consist of toxic substances(e.g.,heavy metals,electrolytes)and valuable metals(e.g.,Li,Co)will inevitably flow into the waste stream,and their incineration or landfill treatment will cause severe risks to ecosystem and human *** sustainable and efficient treatment or recycling of valuable resources from spent LIBs should be fully recognized for environmental and resource *** one of the most important processes for spent LIBs recycling,the pretreatment is an indispensable step,which is directly related to the subsequent metal extraction and separation *** considerable progresses have been made regarding the pretreatment technologies,there are few summarized reports concerning critical processes of spent LIBs recycling,especially combination of currently available recycling technologies with industrialized applications during ***,comprehensive review of the current prevailing pretreatment technologies in laboratory to existing scale-up applications is quite necessary to reveal cutting-edge development in the field of *** this review,the current pretreatment technologies are systematically categorized and introduced,along with critical *** review focused on the various options for pretreatment processes itself,instead of general spent LIBs recycling technologies without the focused topics that have been sophisticatedly reviewed by previous ***,the deactivation,discharge,dismantling,separation,liberation of active material and electrolyte treatment have been summarized with the in-depth discussion of the technology development and current status of each ***,current states of industrial development are also reviewed and discussed for the development of

Analysis of the role of dihydromyricetin derived from vine tea(Ampelopsis grossedentata)on multiple myeloma by activating STAT1/RIG-I axis

Multiple myeloma(MM)is a plasma cell malignancy and remains incurable as it lacks effective curative approaches;thus,novel therapeutic strategies are desperately *** study aimed to explore the therapeutic role of dihydromyricetin(DHM)in MM and explore its *** MM and normal plasma samples,human MM cell lines,and normal plasma cells were used for in vitro *** counting kit-8(CCK-8),flow cytometry,and trans-well assays were performed for the assessment of cell viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,*** real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was employed to assess the mRNA expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(STAT1)and retinoic acid-inducible gene I(RIG-I).Western blotting was employed to assess E-cadherin,N-cadherin,signal transducer,STAT1,p-STAT1,and RIG-I protein expression.A tumor xenograft model was used for in vivo ***,dihydromyricetin(DHM)dose-dependently restrained viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,and facilitated apoptosis of U266 *** DHM treatment,the Ecadherin level was increased and the N-cadherin level was decreased in U266 and RPMI-8226 cells,suggesting the inhibitory effects of DHM on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)in ***,the levels of p-STAT1/STAT1 and RIG-I were down-regulated in ***,the STAT1 inhibitor fludarabine undid the suppressive effect of DMH on the malignant characteristics of U266 ***,DHM inhibited MM tumor growth and EMT,and activated STAT1/RIG-I pathway in ***,this study first revealed that DHM can restrain EMT and tumor growth in MM by activating STAT1/RIG-I signaling,which provides a novel drug for the treatment of MM.

C-CORE:Clustering by Code Representation to Prioritize Test Cases in Compiler Testing

Effect of miR-124 Overexpression under Wnt/β-catenin Signaling Pathway on Inflammatory Factor and Epidermal Growth Factor in Rats with Precancerous Gastric Lesions

Objective: To investigate the effects of miR-124 overexpression on inflammatory factors and epidermal growth factor in rats with gastric precancerous lesions by modulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Methods: Eighty SPF-grade Wistar rats were selected as the research subjects. After adaptive feeding,they were divided into 4 groups using a random number table method. The control group was fed a regular diet, while the model group, low expression group, and overexpression group of rats were treated with N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine to establish a model of gastric cancer precancerous lesions. After successful modeling, the control group and model group rats were injected intraperitoneally with 0.9% sodium chloride solution, the low-expression group rats were injected intraperitoneally with miR-124-5p inhibitor, and the over-expression group rats were injected intraperitoneally with miR-124-5p mimic. After 8 weeks of continuous injection, the levels of miR-124,Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway-related proteins, inflammatory factors, and epidermal growth factor were observed and compared among the four groups of rats. Results: The differences in the relative expression of miR-124 among the four groups of rats were statistically significant(P<0.05); the differences in the expression of Wnt protein andβ-catenin protein among the four groups of rats were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the expression of Wnt protein and β-catenin protein in the overexpression group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and significantly lower than that in the model group and the low-expression group; the levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-αof rats in the four groups of rats IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α levels were statistically different(P<0.05), and the levels of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in rats in the overexpression group were higher than those in the model group and significantly lower than those in the model group and the low-expression group(P<0.05); the differ

Cu-Based Materials for Enhanced C_(2+) Product Selectivity in Photo-/Electro-Catalytic CO_(2) Reduction: Challenges and Prospects

Carbon dioxide conversion into valuable products using photocatalysis and electrocatalysis is an effective approach to mitigate global environmental issues and the energy shortages. Among the materials utilized for catalytic reduction of CO_(2), Cu-based materials are highly advantageous owing to their widespread availability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, Cu-based materials demonstrate interesting abilities in the adsorption and activation of carbon dioxide, allowing the formation of C_(2+) compounds through C–C coupling process. Herein, the basic principles of photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reactions(PCO_(2)RR) and electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(ECO_(2)RR) and the pathways for the generation C_(2+) products are introduced. This review categorizes Cu-based materials into different groups including Cu metal, Cu oxides, Cu alloys, and Cu SACs, Cu heterojunctions based on their catalytic applications. The relationship between the Cu surfaces and their efficiency in both PCO_(2)RR and ECO_(2)RR is emphasized. Through a review of recent studies on PCO_(2)RR and ECO_(2)RR using Cu-based catalysts, the focus is on understanding the underlying reasons for the enhanced selectivity toward C_(2+) products. Finally, the opportunities and challenges associated with Cu-based materials in the CO_(2) catalytic reduction applications are presented, along with research directions that can guide for the design of highly active and selective Cu-based materials for CO_(2) reduction processes in the future.

Echo State Network Based on Improved Knowledge Distillation for Edge Intelligence

Echo state network(ESN) as a novel artificial neural network has drawn much attention from time series prediction in edge intelligence. ESN is slightly insufficient in long-term memory, thereby impacting the prediction performance. It suffers from a higher computational overhead when deploying on edge devices. We firstly introduce the knowledge distillation into the reservoir structure optimization, and then propose the echo state network based on improved knowledge distillation(ESN-IKD) for edge intelligence to improve the prediction performance and reduce the computational overhead. The model of ESN-IKD is constructed with the classic ESN as a student network, the long and short-term memory network as a teacher network, and the ESN with double loop reservoir structure as an assistant network. The student network learns the long-term memory capability of the teacher network with the help of the assistant network. The training algorithm of ESN-IKD is proposed to correct the learning direction through the assistant network and eliminate the redundant knowledge through the iterative pruning. It can solve the problems of error learning and redundant learning in the traditional knowledge distillation process. Extensive experimental simulation shows that ESN-IKD has a good time series prediction performance in both long-term and short-term memory, and achieves a lower computational overhead.

Modular Soft Robotic Crawlers Based on Fluidic Prestressed Composite Actuators

Soft robotic crawlers have limited payload capacity and crawling *** study proposes a high-performance inchworm-like modular robotic crawler based on fluidic prestressed composite(FPC)*** FPC actuator is precurved and a pneumatic source is used to flatten it,requiring no energy cost to maintain the equilibrium curved *** and depressurizing the actuators generate alternating stretching and bending motions of the actuators,achieving the crawling motion of the robotic ***-modal locomotion(crawling,turning,and pipe climbing)is achieved by modular reconfiguration and gait *** analytical kinematic model is proposed to characterize the quasi-static curvature and step size of a single-module *** configurations of robotic crawlers are fabricated to demonstrate the crawling ability of the proposed design.A set of systematic experiments are set up and conducted to understand how crawler responses vary as a function of FPC prestrains,input pressures,and actuation *** per the experiments,the maximum carrying load ratio(carrying load divided by robot weight)is found to be 22.32,and the highest crawling velocity is 3.02 body length(BL)per second(392 mm/s).Multi-modal capabilities are demonstrated by reconfiguring three soft crawlers,including a matrix crawler robot crawling in amphibious environments,and an inching crawler turning at an angular velocity of 2/s,as well as earthworm-like crawling robots climbing a 20 inclination slope and pipe.
