Comprehensive radiomics nomogram for predicting survival of patients with combined hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma

A new 3D plastoelastohydrodynamic lubrication model for rough surfaces

Plastoelastohydrodynamic lubrication of rough surfaces(R-PEHL)is a cutting-edge area of research in interface fluid-structure coupling *** existing R-PEHL model calculates the elastic-plastic deformation of rough surface by the Love equation in a semi-infinite space smooth surface,which deviates from the actual ***,it is an innovative work to study the exact solution of elastic-plastic deformation of rough surface and its influence on the solution results of R-PEHL *** this paper,a new contact calculation model of plastoelastohydrodynamic lubrication(PEHL)with three-dimensional(3D)rough surface is proposed by integrating numerical method of EHL and finite element *** new model eliminates an original error introduced by the assumption of semi-infinite space in contact calculation,providing wide applicability and high *** the given rough surfaces and working conditions,the study reveals that:(1)the oil film pressure calculated by the new model is lower than that of the smooth surface in semi-infinite space by 200–800 MPa;(2)the Mises stress of the new model is 2.5%–26.6%higher than that of the smooth surface in semi-infinite space;(3)compared with the semi-infinite space assumption,the rough surface plastic deformation of the new model is increased by 71%–173%,and the local plastic deformation singularity may appear under the semi-infinite space assumption;(4)the plastic deformation caused by the first contact cycle on the rough surface of the new model accounts for 66.7%–92.9%of the total plastic deformation,and the plastic deformation of the semi-infinite space accounts for 50%–83.3%.This study resolves the contradiction between the smooth surface assumption and the rough surface in the existing R-PEHL model,establishing a solid logic foundation for the accurate solution of R-PEHL model.

Optimizing 2D-metal contact in layered Tin-selenide via native oxide modulation

The discovery of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor has opened up new avenues for the development of short-channel field-effect transistors(FETs)with desired electrical *** them,orthorhombic tin-selenide(SnSe)has garnered increasing attention due to its potential applications in a variety of electronic,optoelectronic,and thermoelectric ***,the realization of high-performance SnSe FETs with low contact resistance(Rc)remains a ***,we systematically investigate the contact of few-layer SnSe FETs through the modulation of native oxide on SnSe by using different *** is found that chromium(Cr)-contacted devices possess the best FET performance,such as electron mobility up to 606 cm^(2)/(V·s)at 78 K,current on/off ratio exceeding 1010,and saturation current of~550μA/μm,where a negligible Schottky barrier(SB)of~30 meV and a low contact resistance of~425Ωμm are achieved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and cross-sectional electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)results further reveal that the improved contact arises from the Cr-induced reduction of native oxide(SnOx)to Sn,which thins the tunneling barrier for efficient electron *** findings provide a deep insight into the 2D-metal contact of SnSe and pave the way for its applications in future nanoelectronics.

Influence of Transportation Accessibility on Urban-rural Income Disparity and Its Spatial Heterogeneity

Transportation accessibility has been treated as an important means of reducing the urban-rural income ***,only a few studies have examined the effects of different types of transportation accessibility on urban-rural income disparity and their spatial *** on data from 285 prefecture-level(and above)Chinese cities in 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020,this study uses spatial econometric models to examine how highway accessibility and railway accessibility influence the urban-rural income disparity and to identify their spatial *** result reveals that highway accessibility and railway accessibility have‘coreperiphery’ring-like circle *** urban-rural income disparity exhibits strong spatial clustering *** highway accessibility and railway accessibility are negatively associated with urban-rural income disparity,and the former having a greater effect ***,there is a substitution effect between highway accessibility and railway accessibility in the whole ***,these associations differ in geographic *** the central region,highway accessibility is more important in reducing the urban-rural income disparity,but its effect is weakened with the increase of railway *** the western region,railway accessibility has a larger effect on narrowing the urban-rural income disparity,and this effect is strengthened by the increase of highway *** conclude that improving transportation accessibility is conducive to reducing the urban-rural income disparity but its effect is spatial *** and railways should be developed in a coordinated manner to promote an integrated transport network system.

Targeting RAF dimers in RAS mutant tumors:From biology to clinic

RAS mutations occur in approximately 30%of tumors worldwide and have a poor prognosis due to limited *** targeting of KRAS G12C has achieved significant success in recent years,but there is still a lack of efficient therapeutic approaches for tumors with non-G12C KRAS mutations.A highly promising approach is to target the MAPK pathway downstream of RAS,with a particular focus on RAF ***-generation RAF inhibitors have been authorized to treat BRAF mutant tumors for over a ***,their use in RAS-mutated tumors is not recommended due to the paradoxical ERK activation mainly caused by RAF *** address the issue of RAF dimerization,type II RAF inhibitors have emerged as leading *** clinical studies have shown the initial effectiveness of these agents against RAS mutant ***,type II RAF inhibitors in combination with MEK or ERK inhibitors have demonstrated impressive efficacy in RAS mutant *** review aims to clarify the importance of RAF dimerization in cellular signaling and resistance to treatment in tumors with RAS mutations,as well as recent progress in therapeutic approaches to address the problem of RAF dimerization in RAS mutant tumors.

Social hierarchy is a general self-organizational scheme in animal societies in which each member achieves a certain status of domination or subordination when getting access to resources,with profound consequences for survival,health,reproductive success,and multiple behaviors[1,2].The prefrontal cortex(PFC)was recognized as a central regulator of neuronal circuits determining the formation of social hierarchy;brain areas upstream of the PFC convey information about social status,and downstream brain regions execute dominance behavior[3].Social deficits have been suggested to be due to an elevation of excitatory/inhibitory(E/l)balance within the mouse dorsomedial(dm)PFC[4].A compensatory increase of inhibitory cell excitability partially rescued social deficits caused by such a disturbance of E/l balance.

Identification of new cotton fiber-quality QTL by multiple genomic analyses and development of markers for genomic breeding

Cotton fiber is one of the main raw materials for the textile *** recent years,many cotton fiber quality QTL have been identified,but few were applied in *** this study,a genome wide association study(GWAS)of fiber-quality traits in 265 upland cotton breeding intermediate lines(GhBreeding),combined with genome-wide selective sweep analysis(GSSA)and genomic selection(GS),revealed 25 *** of these QTL were ignored by only using *** CRISPR/Cas9 mutants of GhMYB_D13 had shorter fiber,which indicates the credibility of QTL to a certain *** these QTL were verified in other cotton natural populations,5 stable QTL were found having broad potential for application in ***,among these 5 stable QTL,superior genotypes of 4 showed an enrichment in most improved new varieties widely cultivated *** findings provide insights for how to identify more QTL through combined multiple genomic analysis to apply in breeding.

Adhesive hydrogel interface for enhanced epidermal signal

This paper presents a discussion on the method, mechanism, and application of adhesive hydrogel in enhancing epidermal signal,focusing on the interface between hydrogel and skin. Due to its excellent conductivity and high adaptability to the skin, the hydrogel is exceptionally suitable for detecting human-machine interfaces, particularly epidermal electromyographic ***, the detection of the high epidermal signal is hindered by the gap and low adhesion between hydrogel and skin. This paper addresses these challenges by introducing approaches to reduce the interface gap and increase interface adhesion, thereby enabling the development of hydrogel-based epidermal signal detection arrays with enhanced resolution and detection performance.
