All-inorganic halide perovskite(IHP)has been deemed promising in photocatalysis due to tunable bandgap and long lifetime of charge carriers.However,unsatisfactory photocatalytic activity and low stability prevent its practical applications.Rational construction of heterojunctions has been proved to be an efficient way to circumvent these obstacles.Herein,g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheet was employed to construct a 2D/2D(2D:two-dimensional)heterostructure with Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)through an electrostatic self-assembly process.Owing to the efficient transfer of photogenerated charge carriers,the activity of Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)was boosted with enhanced generation of carbon centered radicals.The optimized 10%Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)/g-C_(3)N_(4)composite displays the highest benzaldehyde formation rate of 4.53 mmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1)under visible light,which is 41.8 and 2.3 times that of individual g-C_(3)N_(4)and Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9),respectively.The stability of Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)nanosheets and its selectivity for benzaldehyde(from 65%of Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)to 90%of the composite)was enhanced by reducing its surface energy and tuning the reaction pathway,respectively.

Value of c-Met for Predicting Progression of Precancerous Gastric Lesions in Rural Chinese Population

Objective： To investigate the value of c-Met in predicting progression of precancerous gastric lesions. Methods： A population-based study was conducted to detect the overexpression of c-Met by immunohisto- chemical analysis in 124 subjects with precancerous gastric lesions. Odds ratio （OR） and 95% confidence interval （95% CI） were calculated for the association of c-Met overexpression with the risk of advanced gastric lesions. Results： The positive rates of c-Met were 55.7% in intestinal metaplasia （IM） and 64.8% in dysplasia （DYS）, respectively. Stratified analysis indicated that the proportion of c-Met overexpression was 71.4% for IM progressive group, significantly higher than that for IM persistent group （40.0%, P〈O.05）. Compared to the IM persistent group, unconditional logistic regression showed that OR of c-Met overexpression for the IM progressive group was 7.426 （95% Cl： 2.084-26.398）. Conclusion： c-Met plays an important role in gastric carcinogenesis. Detection of c-Met is of value in predicting progression of precancerous gastric lesions from IM to DYS.

Objective： To investigate the genotypes of well-differentiated non-cardiac gastric adenocarcinoma and their clinicopathological significance. Methods： Sixty-four cases of well-differentiated non-cardiac gastric adenocarcinoma were included in this study. The expressions of intestinal phenotypic markers including CDX2, MUC2, li-cadherin, CD10, Hepatocyte（Hep） and Villin, and gastric phenotypic markers including MUC5AC and pS2 were detected immunohistochemically. Based on the expressions of phenotypic markers, 64 cases can be divided into four phenotypes. Cases only expressing intestinal phenotypic markers were classified as intestinal phenotype; cases only expressing gastric phenotypic markers as gastric phenotype; cases expressing both intestinal and gastric phenotypic markers as gastrointestinal phenotype; and cases expressing neither intestinal nor gastric phenotypic marker as null phenotype. The association of phenotype and clinic-pathological parameters was analyzed. We also detected the expressions of markers related to the development and progression of cancer, including Rb, P53, c-Met, MIF, TGF-β-RII, β-catenin, CD44v6 and E-cadherin. Results： Of 64 cases, 33（51.6%） were intestinal type, 3（4.7%） were gastric type, 25（39.1%） were gastrointestinal type and 3（4.7%） were null type. Fifty-eight cases were either intestinal or gastrointestinal type, which accounted for 90.6% of all the cases. In addition, there was an association between phenotype and biological behaviors （invasion or metastasis）. The biological behaviors of intestinal and gastrointestinal type were better than gastric type. Compared with intestinal, gastric and gastrointestinal types, the biological behaviors of null type were the most aggressive. The biological behaviors of gastric carcinoma tended to be better as the number of expression of intestinal markers increased. AIM:To investigate the prognostic significance of phosphatase regenerating liver 3(PRL-3)protein expression in gastric cancer.METHODS:PRL-3 expression in paraffin-embedded tumor specimens from 293 patients with gastric cancer was studied retrospectively by immunohistochemistry.Monoclonal antibody specifically against PRL-3,3B6,was obtained with hybridoma technique.RESULTS:Positive PRL-3 expression was detected in 43.3%(127 of 293)of gastric cancer cases.High expression of PRL-3 was positively correlated with tumor size,depth of invasion,vascular/lymphatic invasion,lymph node metastasis,high TNM stage and tumor recurrence.Patients with positive PRL-3 expression had a significantly lower 5-year survival rate than those with negative expression(28.3%vs 51.9%,P<0.0001).Patients who received curative surgery,and with positive PRL-3 expression had a significant shorter overall survival and disease-free disadvantage over patients with negative expression(hazard ratio of 16.7 and 16.6,respectively;P<0.0001 for both).Multivariate analysis revealed that PRL-3 expression was an independent prognostic indicator for overall and disease-free survival of gastric cancer patients,particularly for survival in TNM stageⅢpatients.CONCLUSION:PRL-3 expression is a new independent prognostic indicator to predict the potential of recurrence and survival in patients with gastric cancer at the time of tumor resection.

Objective： To investigate the correlation of typies of gastric intestinal metaplasia（IM）, expression of p53, bcl-2 and the proliferating cell nuclear antigen（PCNA）, with the lesion＇s evolution. Methods： A total of 80 patients with IM（53 male and 27 female, 35-64 years old） from an area with high-risk of gastric cancer（GC） in China were enrolled into this prospective study, including 28 cases of type Ⅰ （complete）, 25 cases of type Ⅱ （incomplete） , and 27 cases of type Ⅲ （incomplete）. Of the 80 cases, 62 cases including 19 cases of type Ⅰ, 22 type Ⅱ and 21 type Ⅲ, were followed up for 5-14 years（49 cases for 14 years, 6 for 10 years, and 7 for 5 years）. All of the 80 cases were studied immunohistochemically for the expression of p53, bcl-2 and PCNA. Results： The rate of p53-expressing cases was higher in type Ⅲ（25.9%） than in type Ⅰ（10.7%） and type Ⅱ （12.0%）, but without statistical significance（P=0.3070）. The positive rate of bcl-2 was obviously lower in type Ⅰ （21.4%） and type Ⅱ （24.0%） than in type Ⅲ（37.0%）, but not statistically significant（P=0.4223）. We observed difference in PCNA labelling index （li） between type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ（P=0.0037）, and the difference was particularly significant in type Ⅰ as compared with type Ⅲ（P〈0.0001）. There was no statistical significance between type I and type II （P=0.0616）. Evolution into GC was detected in 0%, 4.5%, and 14.3% of type Ⅰ, type Ⅱ, and type Ⅲ IM cases, respectively. Progression to dysplasia was detected in 31.6%, 18.2%, and 14.3% of type Ⅰ, type Ⅱ, and type Ⅲ IM cases, respectively. Persistence of IM was documented in 31.6%, 45.5%, and 42.9% of type Ⅰ, type Ⅱ, and type Ⅲ IM cases, respectively. Regression of IM was documented in 36.8%, 31.8%, and 28.6% of type Ⅰ, type Ⅱ, and type ⅢIM cases, respectively. In progressive, persistent and regressive groups, the positive rates of p53 were 17.6%, 16.0% and 15.0%, bcl-2 were 29.4%, 36.0% and 25.0%, and PCNA lis were 24.953±14.477, 23.752±12.934 and 25.105±10.055, respectively. Objective： To investigate the existence of pericryptal fibroblasts sheath （PCFS） in normal gastric mucosa, intestinal metaplasia （IM）, indefinite for dysplasia （I-Dys）, low grade dysplasia （L-Dys）, high grade dysplasia （H-Dys） and gastric cancer （GC）, and its association with gastric carcinogenesis. Methods： In this study, we examined the existence of PCFS in normal gastric mucosa （N=10）, IM （N=26）, I-Dys （N=16）, L-Dys （N=13）, H-Dys （N=21） and GC （N=145） using immunohistochemical staining for two smooth muscle markers, alpha smooth muscle actin（α-SMA） and high molecular weight caldesmon （h-CD）. The significance of PCFS was discussed, especially in association with gastric carcinogenesis. Results： The PCFS was recognized in 65.4%（17/26） of IM, 62.5%（10/16） of I-Dys and 23.1% （3/13） of L-Dys respectively. No PCFS was detected in H-Dys and GC. The PCFS was gradually reduced in IM, Dys and GC in sequence （P〈0.0001）. Conclusion： The PCFS is associated with the differentiation of epithelium and involved in gastric carcinogenesis via epithelial-mesenchymal interaction.

BACKGROUND Lumbar radiculopathy spondylosis is a relatively common orthopedic disease with a high incidence rate.It most commonly occurs in the lumbar 4-5 and lumbar 5-sacral 1 vertebrae,which account for approximately 95%of cases.It mostly occurs in people aged 30-50 years old and greatly affects their quality of life.AIM To determine the effect of triple-voltage acupuncture combined with helium-neon laser irradiation on the quality of care and improvement of symptoms in patients with lumbar radiculopathy spondylolisthesis.METHODS In this study,we selected 120 patients with lumbar radiculopathy spondylosis who were treated at our hospital between June 2019 to June 2020.The patients were divided into control and observation groups according to the random number table method,with 60 patients in each group.Patients in the observation group were treated with three-volt moxibustion combined with helium-neon laser irradiation,and those in the control group were treated with lumbar traction.After 1 month of treatment,the lumbar pain scores,lumbar spine motor functions,clinical treatment effects,and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared.RESULTS The results showed that acupuncture combined with laser irradiation significantly improved the patients'clinical symptoms,i.e.,reduced their low back pain,significantly lower numerical rating scale pain scores in the observation group than in the control group,and better lumbar spine motility than in the control group,compared to lumbar traction.In addition,they were cared for.The treatment effectiveness rate of the observation group was 95.5%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(81.67%).Satisfaction with care was higher than 90 points in both groups,but the difference was not statistically significant.CONCLUSION Our study provides a clinical rationale for the future treatment of patients with lumbar spine disease.However,further extensive research is needed for validation.

BACKGROUND Cirrhosis is a common liver disease,and ascites is one of the common clinical conditions.However,the clinical manifestations of ascites combined with hyponatremia as a high-risk condition and its relationship to patient prognosis have not been fully studied.AIM To explore the clinical manifestations,prognostic factors,and relationships of ascites with hyponatremia in patients with cirrhosis to provide better diagnostic and treatment strategies.METHODS In this study,we retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 150 patients diagnosed with cirrhosis and ascites between 2017 and 2022.Patients were divided into two groups:ascites combined with hyponatremia group and ascites group.We compared the general characteristics,degree of hyponatremia,complications,treatment,and prognosis between the two groups.RESULTS In the study results,patients in the ascites combined with hyponatremia group showed an older average age(58.2±8.9 years),64.4%were male,and had a significantly longer hospitalization time(12.7±5.3 d).Hyponatremia was more severe in this group,with a mean serum sodium concentration of 128.5±4.3 mmol/L,which was significantly different from the ascites group of 137.6±2.1 mmol/L.Patients with ascites and hyponatremia were more likely to develop hepatic encephalopathy(56.2%vs 39.0%),renal impairment(45.2%vs 28.6%)and infection(37.0%vs 23.4%).Regarding treatment,this group more frequently used diuretics(80.8%vs 62.3%)and salt supplements(60.3%vs 38.9%).Multiple logistic regression analysis identified older age[Odds ratio(OR)=1.06,P=0.025]and male gender(OR=1.72,P=0.020)as risk factors for hyponatremia combined with ascites.Overall,patients with ascites and hyponatremia present a clear high-risk status,accompanied by severe complications and poor prognosis.CONCLUSION In patients with cirrhosis,ascites with hyponatremia is a high-risk condition that is often associated with severe complications.

Waste plastics are serious environmental threats due to their low degradability and low recycling rate.Rapid and efficient waste plastics recycling technologies are urgently demanded for a sustainable future.Herein,we report a rapid,closed-loop,and streamlined process to convert polyesters such as poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET)back to its purified monomers.Using trifluoromethanesulfonic acid or metal triflates as the recyclable catalyst,polyesters such as PET can be completely depolymerized by simple carboxylic acids within 1 h.By coupling this acidolysis with a subsequent hydrogenolysis process,the consumed carboxylic acid was recovered and the closed-loop of PET depolymerization could be established.All catalysts and depolymerization agents are fully recycled while only PET and hydrogen are consumed.
