Anammox technology has been widely researched over the past 40-year from the laboratory-scale to full-scale. It is well-known that in actual applications, the solo application of anammox is not feasible. Since both ammonium and nitrite are prerequisites based on the reaction mechanism, the pre-treatment of wastewater is necessary. With the combination of anammox process and other pre-treatment processes to treat the actual wastewater, many types of anammox-based processes have been developed with distinct nitrogen removal performance. Thus, in order to heighten the awareness of researchers to the developments and accelerate the application of these processes to the treatment of actual wastewater, the main anammox-based processes are reviewed in this paper. It includes the partial nitritation/anammox process, the denitratation/anammox (PD/A) process, the denitrifying anaerobic methane oxidation/anammox (DAMO/A) process, and more complex deuterogenic processes. These processes have made the breakthroughs in the application of the anammox technology, such as the combination of nitrification and PD/A process can achieve stability and reliability of nitrogen removal in the treatment of mainstream wastewater, the PD/A process and the DAMO/A have brought about further improvements in the total nitrogen removal efficiency of wastewater. The diversity of functional microbe characteristics under the specific condition indicate the wide application potential of anammox-based processes, and further exploration is necessary. A whole waste treatment system concept is proposed through the effective allocation of above mentioned processes, with the maximum recovery of energy and resources, and minimal environmental impact.

In this study,a method of corrugated width limit alignment processes(CWLA)was applied to pre-twin in hot-rolled Mg alloy *** microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the CWLA sheets were *** results demonstrated that the grain orientation was transformed from strong basal texture to RD-rotated texture after CWLA treatment and up to 22.2%of{10-12}tensile twin boundaries were produced in the *** 60±5°twin variant pairs were dominant in the twinned *** kinds of dynamic recrystallization(DRX)mechanism,i.e.,continuous DRX(CDRX)at low-temperature CWLA and the discontinuous DRX(DDRX)at high-temperature condition were *** post-annealing,the twin-induced static recrystallization(SRX)and abnormal grain growth were observed in the CWLA samples,and most twin boundaries were *** CAWL for 60 min at 300℃ and post annealing,an improvement on plasticity and strength were achieved with 55%increment for uniform elongation(UE)and 10%increment for ultimate tensile strength(UTS).

Accumulating evidence has implicated Helicobacter pylori(***)infection in extragastrointestinal diseases,including obesity,type 2 diabetes mellitus,cardiovascular disease,and liver ***,there has been a special focus on *** infection as a risk factor for the development of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).NAFLD is currently considered to be the most common liver disorder in western countries,and is rapidly becoming a serious threat to public *** mechanisms of pathogenesis underlying NAFLD remain unclear at present and therapeutic options are *** growing awareness of the role of *** in NAFLD is thus important to aid the development of novel intervention and prevention strategies,because the eradication of *** is easy and much less expensive than long-term treatment of the other risk *** infection is involved in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance(IR),which is closely linked with *** provides a new insight into the pathogenesis of *** review probes the possible relationship between *** and NAFLD,from the perspective of the potential mechanism of how *** infection brings about IR and other aspects concerning this correlation.

Value of c-Met for Predicting Progression of Precancerous Gastric Lesions in Rural Chinese Population

Objective： To investigate the value of c-Met in predicting progression of precancerous gastric lesions. Methods： A population-based study was conducted to detect the overexpression of c-Met by immunohisto- chemical analysis in 124 subjects with precancerous gastric lesions. Odds ratio （OR） and 95% confidence interval （95% CI） were calculated for the association of c-Met overexpression with the risk of advanced gastric lesions. Results： The positive rates of c-Met were 55.7% in intestinal metaplasia （IM） and 64.8% in dysplasia （DYS）, respectively. Stratified analysis indicated that the proportion of c-Met overexpression was 71.4% for IM progressive group, significantly higher than that for IM persistent group （40.0%, P〈O.05）. Compared to the IM persistent group, unconditional logistic regression showed that OR of c-Met overexpression for the IM progressive group was 7.426 （95% Cl： 2.084-26.398）. Conclusion： c-Met plays an important role in gastric carcinogenesis. Detection of c-Met is of value in predicting progression of precancerous gastric lesions from IM to DYS.

Sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis (SEP) is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction that is characterized by a thick grayish-white fibrotic membrane encasing the small bowel. SEP can be classified as idiopathic,also known as abdominal cocoon,or secondary. It is difficult to make a definite pre-operative diagnosis. We experienced five cases of abdominal cocoon,and the case files were reviewed retrospectively for the clinical presentation,operative findings and outcome. All the patients presented with acute,subacute and chronic intestinal obstruction. Computed tomography (CT) showed characteristic findings of small bowel loops congregated to the center of the abdomen encased by a soft-tissue density mantle in four cases. Four cases had an uneventful post-operative period,one case received second adhesiolysis due to persistent ileus. The imaging techniques may facilitate pre-operative diagnosis. Surgery is important in the management of SEP.

In this paper,the finite difference weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) scheme is incorporated into the recently developed four kinds of lattice Boltzmann flux solver (LBFS) to simulate compressible flows,including inviscid LBFS Ⅰ,viscous LBFS Ⅱ,hybrid LBFS Ⅲ and hybrid LBFS Ⅳ.Hybrid LBFS can automatically realize the switch between inviscid LBFS Ⅰ and viscous LBFS Ⅱ through introducing a switch *** resultant hybrid WENO-LBFS scheme absorbs the advantages of WENO scheme and hybrid *** investigate the performance of WENO scheme based on four kinds of LBFS *** results indicate that the devopled hybrid WENO-LBFS scheme has high accuracy,high resolution and no *** can not only accurately calculate smooth solutions,but also can effectively capture contact discontinuities and strong shock waves.

This paper examines the steady thermocapillarybuoyant convection in a shallow annular pool subjected to a radial temperature gradient. A matched asymptotic theory is used to obtain the asymptotic solutions of the flow and thermal fields in the case of small aspect ratios,which is defined as the ratio of the layer thickness to the gap width. The flow domain is divided into the core region away from the cylinder walls and two end regions near each cylinder wall. Asymptotic solutions are obtained in the core region by solving the core and end flows separately and then joining them through matched asymptotic expansions. For the system of silicon melt,the asymptotic solutions are compared with the results of numerical simulations. It is found that the two kinds of solutions have a good agreement in the core region for a small aspect ratio. With the increase of aspect ratio,the applicability of the present asymptotic solutions decreases gradually.

Robust MMSE precoding for massive MIMO transmission with hardware mismatch

Due to hardware mismatch, the channel reciprocity of time-division duplex massive multipleinput multiple-output system is impaired. Under this condition, there exist several different approaches for base station(BS) to obtain downlink(DL) channel information based on the minimum mean-square-error(MMSE) estimation method. In this paper, we show that with the hardware mismatch parameters BS can obtain the same DL channel information via these different approaches. As the obtained DL channel information is usually imperfect, we propose a precoding technique based on the criterion that minimizes the mean-square-error(MSE) of signal detection at the user terminals(UTs). The proposed precoding is robust to the channel estimation error and significantly improves the system performance compared to the conventional regularized zero-forcing precoding. Furthermore, we derive an asymptotic approximation of the ergodic sum rate for the proposed precoding using the large dimensional random matrix theory, which is tight as the number of antennas both at the BS and UT approach infinity with a fixed non-zero and finite ratio. This approximation can provide a reliable sum rate prediction at a much lower computation cost than Monte Carlo simulations. Simulation results show that the approximation is accurate even for a realistic system dimension.

Impact of food to microorganism ratio and alcohol ethoxylate dosage on methane production in treatment of low-strength wastewater by a submerged anaerobic membrane bioreactor

The effects of food to microorganism （FIM） ratio and alcohol ethoxylate （AE） dosage on the methane production potential were investigated in treatment of low-strength wastewater by a submerged anaerobic membrane bioreactor （SAnMBR）. The fate of AE and its acute and/or chronic impact on the anaerobic microbes were also analyzed. The results indicated that AE had an inhibitory effect to methane production potential （lag-time depends on the AE dosage） and the negative effect attenuated subsequently and methane production could recover at FIM ratio of 0.088-0.357. VFA measurement proved that AE was degraded into small molecular organic acids and then converted into methane at lower FIM ratio （FIM 〈 0.158）. After long-term acclimation, anaerobic microbe could cope with the stress of AE by producing more EPS （extracellular polymeric substances） and SMP （soluble microbial products） due to its self-protection behavior and then enhance its tolerance ability. However, the methane production potential was considerably decreased when AE was present in wastewater at a higher FIM ratio of 1.054. Higher AE amount and FIM ratio may destroy the cell structure of microbe, which lead to the decrease of methane production activity of sludge and methane production potential.
