In this study,aluminum flame analysis was researched in order to develop a measurement method for high-energy-density metal aluminum dust cloud combustion,and the flame temperature and UV-VIS-IR emission spectra were precisely measured using a *** the micron-sized aluminum flame temperature was higher than 2 400 K,Flame temperature was measured by a non-contact optical technique,namely,a modified two-color method using 520 and 640nm light,as well as by apolychromatic fitting *** methods were applied experimentally after accurate *** flame temperature was identified to be higher than 2 400 Kusing both *** analyzing the emission spectra,we could identify AlO radicals,which occur dominantly in aluminum *** study paves the way for realization of a measurement technique for aluminum dust cloud combustion flames,and it will be applied in the aluminum combustors that are in development for military purposes.

BACKGROUND Hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome(SOS)is caused by damage to hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells that results in fibrous obliteration of intrahepatic venules and necrosis of *** the diagnosis is primarily based on nonspecific clinical features and invasive liver ***,noninvasive imaging methods are required for the early diagnosis and severity assessment of hepatic *** To determine the effectiveness of supersonic shear wave imaging(SSI)and dual energy computed tomography(DECT)for diagnosing hepatic SOS using a rabbit *** Among nine New Zealand white rabbits(3-4 kg,male),three in control group ingested normal saline for 20 d and six in the SOS group ingested 6-thioguanine(5 mg/kg/d)for 20 *** stiffness was measured using SSI on days 0,3,10,and *** the same days,liver perfusion was evaluated from virtual monochromatic images of 55 keV and iodine map using *** changes in the liver were assessed using *** pathology scores were compared between the two *** stiffness and perfusion parameters were compared according to the groups,days,and pathology *** Final pathology scores were significantly higher in the SOS than the control group(median 22 vs 2,P=0.024).No gross morphologic changes were seen in *** stiffness,Hounsfield Unit values,and iodine concentrations were higher in the SOS compared to the control group on days 10 and 20(all,P≤0.007).Compared to day 0,liver stiffness and perfusion parameters were higher on day 20 in the SOS group(all,P≤0.001).Correlation coefficients for liver stiffness(r=0.635),Hounsfield Unit values(r=0.587),and iodine concentration(r=0.611)with final pathology scores were positive without significance(all,P>0.05).CONCLUSION Liver stiffness and perfusion parameters were significantly increased in the livers of a rabbit SOS *** and DECT might aid in early diagnosis of hepatic SOS.

A pin-on-disc wear apparatus was used to carry out the tribological experiment of brass to investigate the effect of a magnetorheological （MR） fluid on the interfacial surface with and without magnetic field. A series of tests were performed at the loads of 20-100 N and rotating speeds of 127-425 r/min for 2 h. The friction coefficient and wear rate were monitored by the wear apparatus, while the microstructures of the worn surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope （SEM）. In addition, the chemical composition of worn surfaces was analyzed by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS）. Test results show different friction and wear performance of the MR fluid with and without magnetic field. At the same time, the effects of various normal loads and rotating speeds on the tribological behavior were investigated. Through the investigation of the morphologies of the wom surfaces under the magnetic field, it is found that the MR particles are clearly evident on the wom surface and the plastic flow of ridges causes the lateral extrusion. This directly indicates that abrasive wear is the predominant wear mechanism observed with MR fluid.

Recently,research has been conducted to assist in the processing and analysis of histopathological images using machine learning *** this study,we established machine learning-based algorithms to detect photothrombotic lesions in histological images of photothrombosis-induced rabbit *** machine learning-based algorithms for binary classification were applied,and the accu-racies were compared to classify normal tissues and photothrombotic *** lesion classification model consisting of a 3-layered neural network with a rectified linear unit(ReLU)activation function,Xavier initialization,and Adam optimization using datasets with a unit size of 128×128 pixels yielded the highest accuracy(0.975).In the validation using the tested histological images,it was confirmed that the model could identify regions where brain damage occurred due to photochemical ischemic *** the development of machine learning-based photothrombotic lesion classi-fication models and performance comparisons,we confirmed that machine learning algorithms have the potential to be utilized in histopathology and various medical diagnostic techniques.

It is a challenge to confirm chronic mesenteric ischemia(CMI) as a cause of gastrointestinal(GI) symptoms such as postprandial epigastric bloating,anorexia,and debilitating weight *** intervention for CMI has been gaining popularity because of the high morbidity associated with surgical ***,in EVI for superior mesenteric artery(SMA) occlusion,the transfemoral approach is limited by difficulty in coaxial alignment of the guiding catheter,which leads to insufficient back-up ***,we report on a 58-year-old male patient with chronic total occlusion of the SMA,which was successfully revascularized by endovascular intervention via the left radial *** endovascular therapy may be another treatment option for the treatment of CMI.

To identify early predictive markers of poor outcomes in patients with acute liver injury from wild mushroom *** observational, retrospective record review involved adults aged ≥ 18 years admitted to emergency department with mushroom intoxication from January 2005 to December 2015. The diagnosis of mushroom intoxication was based on the following: (1) a positive history of recent wild mushroom intake (either raw or cooked); (2) the onset of gastrointestinal symptoms, such as watery diarrhea, vomiting, and/or abdominal pain, after ingestion; and (3) the exclusion of other possible causes of acute liver injury. Acute liver injury was defined by a > 5-fold elevation of liver enzymes or moderate coagulopathy [international normalized ratio (INR) > 2.0]. Clinical and laboratory findings were compared in survivors and *** 93 patients with mushroom intoxication, 23, 11 men (47.8%) and 12 women (52.2%), of median age 61 years, developed acute liver injury. The overall in-hospital mortality rate was 43.5% (10/23). We demonstrate a new type of multifocal and extended depth of focus(EDOF)intraocular lenses(IOLs)embeddingμm-thin geometric phase(GP)lens *** an emerging approach for lens phase design,the GP modulated IOLs outperform conventional diffractive IOLs in multifocality while completely avoiding the clinically undesirable demand for additional surface patterns to standard monofocal IOL *** number of foci and light splitting ratio of the GP IOLs are adjusted by changing the number of stacked GP layers and the thickness of each *** and trifocal GP IOLs are fabricated by radial alignment of anisotropic orientation in UV-curable liquid crystal *** characterizing the defocus image and modulation transfer function of the GP IOLs,it is expected that GP IOLs will alleviate the most common problems associated with multifocal and EDOF IOLs,blurred vision and photic phenomena caused by light scattering and posterior capsule opacification.

Sucrose is produced in mesophyll cells and transferred into phloem cells before it is delivered long- distance to sink tissues. However, little is known about how sucrose transport is regulated in plants. Here, we identified a T-DNA insertional mutant of Oryza sativa DNA BINDING WITH ONE FINGER 11 （OsDOF11）, which is expressed in the vascular cells of photosynthetic organs and in various sink tissues. The osdofll mutant plants are semi-dwarf and have fewer tillers and smaller panicles as compared with wild-type （WT） plants. Although sucrose enhanced root elongation in young WT seedlings, this enhance- ment did not occur in osdof11 seedlings due to reduced sucrose uptake. Sugar transport rate analyses revealed that less sugar was transported in osdofll plants than in the WT. Expression of four Sucrose Transporter （SUT） genes-OsSUT1, OsSUT3, OsSUT4, and OsSUT5-as well as two Sugars Will Eventually be Exported Transporters （SWEET） genes, OsSWEETll and OsSWEET14, was altered in various organs of the mutant, including the leaves. Chromatin immunoprecipitation assays showed that OsDOFll directly binds the promoter regions of SUT1, OsSWEETll, and OsSWEET14, indicating that the expression of these transporters responsible for sucrose transport via apopiastic loading is coordinately controlled by OsDOFll. We also observed that osdofll mutant plants were less susceptible to infection byXanthomonas oryzae pathovar oryzae, suggesting that OsDOFll participates in sugar distribution during pathogenic in- vasion. Collectively, these results suggest that OsDOFll modulates sugar transport by regulating the expression of both SUT and SWEET genes in rice.
