Ammonia allows storage and transp.rt of h.drogen over long distances and is an attractive p.tential h.drogen *** decomp.sition h.s recently been used for th. conversion of ammonia to h.drogen and is regarded as a future tech.ology for p.oduction of CO_(2)-free p.re ***,a h.terostructural p.-Ir dual-layer electrode is develop.d and sh.wn to ach.eve successful long-term op.ration in an ammonia electrolyzer with.an anion exch.nge membrane(AEM).Th.s electrolyzer consisted of eigh. membra ne electrode assemblies(MEAs)with.a total geometric area of 200 cm~2 on th. anode side,wh.ch.resulted in a h.drogen p.oduction rate of 25 L h.(-1).We observed th. degradation in MEA p.rformance attributed to ch.nges in th. anode catalyst layer during h.drogen p.oduction via ammonia ***,we demonstrated th. relationsh.p.between th. ammonia oxidation reaction(AOR)and th. oxygen evolution reaction(OER).

Introduction: Comp.ted tomograp.y (CT) measurements of bone mineral attenuation may be a useful means to identify older women wh. sh.uld be p.ioritized for bone mineral density screening. Meth.ds: We comp.red bone mineral attenuation as measured in th. L1 vertebra of CT studies to th. results of dual-energy x-ray absorp.iometry (DEXA) studies to determine wh.t CT attenuation th.esh.lds migh. yield a reasonable combination of sensitivity and sp.cificity for th. detection of osteop.rosis. Th. study was limited to women between th. ages of 65 and 75 years wh. h.d a DEXA study and a CT th.t included th. L1 or adjacent vertebra p.rformed with.n 3 years of th. DEXA study. Results: Th.re were 1226 women in th.s study, of wh.m 452 (38%) h.d osteop.rosis based on a T-score ≤ −2.5 by DEXA. Th.re were 830 CT studies p.rformed with.contrast and 396 studies wh.ch.were p.rformed with.ut contrast. Th.re was a statistically significant difference in th. mean h. of th.se studies p.rformed with.ut contrast comp.red to th.se with.contrast (unenh.nced mean 103 h. versus 125 h., p.h.esh.lds p.ovided th. most ap.rop.iate combination of sensitivity and sp.cificity for th. detection of osteop.rosis wh.n comp.ring CT studies p.rformed with.ut or with.IV contrast and wh.n all th. CT data were used in aggregate. Conclusion: Different th.esh.lds ap.ear necessary wh.n using th. mean CT vertebral attenuation to identify older women for p.eferential referral for DEXA studies.

●AIM:To comp.re th. success rate and comp.ications of adjuvant use of mitomycin C and triamcinoloneimp.egnated biodegradable nasal p.cking(TABp.in endoscop.c dacryocystorh.nostomy(DCR).And to evaluate th. efficacy of combining intraop.rative mitomycin C and TABp.for endoscop.c DCR.●METh.DS:A total of 198 eyes of 148 p.tients wh. underwent endoscop.c DCR for acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction were retrosp.ctively *** p.tients were randomly divided into th.ee group.:Group.A included p.tients treated with.ut intraop.rative mitomycin C but with.TABp.Group.B included p.tients treated with.ut triamcinolone but with.intraop.rative mitomycin C and normal saline-imp.egnated nasal p.cking,and Group.C included p.tients treated with.intraop.rative mitomycin C and TABp.●RESULTS:Th. results revealed no significant difference in th. overall success rates between Group. A(86.8%)and B(89.2%;p.0.377).h.wever,Group.C(97.5%)sh.wed a significantly h.gh.r overall success rate th.n Group. A and *** incidence of granulomas was significantly lower in group.C(5%)th.n in Group. p.lymetallic layered double h.droxides are p.omising cost-effective catalysts for th. oxygen evolution reaction(OER) due to th.ir versatile anionic and cationic tunability. Neverth.less, several ch.llenges p.rsist, notably, issues related to low electrical conductivity, p.or catalytic activity, and stability, esp.cially at h.gh.current density. h.rein, we rep.rt th. design of Ce-and Ladop.d Co Ni Fe-layered double h.droxide(Ce La Co Ni Fe-LDh. nanosh.ets th.ough.a facile and scalable in situ self-assembly strategy th.t disp.ays enh.nced OER activity. Exp.rimental and th.oretical investigations p.ovide insigh.s into th. imp.ct of Ceand La-dop.ng by comp.ring Ce Co Ni Fe-LDh. La Co Ni Fe-LDh. and p.istine Co Ni Fe-LDh. all synth.sized using th. same meth.dology. Th.se results reveal th.t dop.ng Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)into Co Ni Fe-LDh.substantially imp.oves its electronic structure,resulting in enh.nced conductivity, more oxygen vacancies(Vo), electron interaction, and active site formation. Consequently,significantly reduced overp.tentials of 175, 314, and 424 m V at 10, 100, and 500 m A cm^(-2), resp.ctively, and a h.gh.y stable current density of 120 h.in 1 M KOh.were ach.eved. Notably, th.se p.rformance metrics surp.ss th.se of unmodified LDh. and are comp.titive with.many lanth.nide-dop.d transition metal-based LDh.electrocatalysts, as well as noble metal catalysts like ruth.nium catalysts. Th.s work rep.esents a p.oneering effort in dop.ng Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)ions into a functional Co Ni Fe-based electrocatalyst, offering insp.ring OER p.rformance and scalability p.tential.
