In recent years,the expansion of renewable energy in electric power systems has been increasing at such a rapid pace that it has started affecting frequency *** generators connected to the grid produce variable amounts of power,and in most cases have no inherent inertia response(IR)to the system ***,the high penetration of renewable generators in the system results in low inertia and frequency *** renewable generators account for a high proportion of the supply in a power system,the use of energy storage systems(ESSs)with frequency-support algorithms(in the place of synchronous generators)can stabilize the *** participation of ESSs in frequency support must be organized precisely,so that they are fully devoted to their own *** this paper,the frequency-support parameters of ESSs are calculated for achieving stable frequency response from a *** estimation and calibration process is conducted during the active power-order change of the ESSs in the substation,and is verified through electromagnetic-transients-including-DC(EMTDC)-based simulations.

Background:Male infertility is an important issue that causes low production in the animal *** solve the male fertility crisis in the animal industry,the prediction of sperm quality is the most important *** RNA is the potential marker for male fertility *** hypothesized that the expression of functional genes related to fertilization will be the best target for male fertility prediction *** investigate optimum male fertility prediction marker,we compared target genes expression level and a wide range of field data acquired from artificial insemination of boar ***:Among the genes related to acrosomal vesicle exocytosis and sperm–oocyte fusion,equatorin(EQTN),zona pellucida sperm-binding protein 4(ZP4),and sperm acrosome membrane-associated protein 3 exhibited high accuracy(70%,90%,and 70%,respectively)as markers to evaluate male *** of EQTN-ZP4,ZP4-protein unc-13 homolog B,and ZP4-regulating synaptic membrane exocytosis protein 1(riMS1)showed the highest prediction value,and all these markers are involved in the acrosome ***:The EQTN-ZP4 model was efficient in clustering the high-fertility group and may be useful for selection of animal that has superior fertility in the livestock *** to the EQTN-ZP4 model,the ZP4-riMS1 model was more efficient in clustering the low-fertility group and may be useful in the diagnosis of male infertility in humans and other *** appointed translational animal model and established biomarker combination can be widely used in various scientific fields such as biomedical science.

AIM:To evaluate virological response to adefovir(ADV) monotherapy and emergence of ADV-resistant mutations in lamivudine(LAM)-resistant chronic hepatitis B ***:Seventy-seven patients with documented LAM resistance who were treated with 10 mg/d ADV for>96 wk were analyzed for ADV ***:At week 48 and 96,eight(10%)and 14(18%)of 77 LAM-resistant patients developed the ADV-resistant strain(rtA181V/T and/or rtN236T mutations),*** B virus(HBV)DNA levels during therapy were significantly higher in patients who developed ADV resistance than in those who did *** of ADV resistance at week 96 was 11%,8%and 6%among patients with complete virological response(HBV DNA level2000 IU/mL)at week 12,week 24 and week 48,*** DNA levels >2000 IU/mL at week 24 showed best performance characteristics in predicting ADV ***:Development of ADV resistance mutations was associated with HBV DNA levels,which could identify patients with LAM resistance who are likely to respond to ADV monotherapy.

Phylogeny and infrageneric relationships were reconstructed for Korean Viola(Violaceae) using eight chloroplast sequences:the atpB-rbcL intergenic spacer,the atpF-H intergenic spacer,the matK gene,the psbA-trnH intergenic spacer,the psbK-I intergenic spacer,the rpl16 intron,the rpoC1 exon 2,and the trnL-trnF *** combined analyses of the eight chloroplast regions suggest that sections Dischidium and Chamaemelanium are monophyletic,whereas section Nomimium is paraphyletic;sections Dischidium and Chamaemelanium form a clade with subsections Hypocarpae and Trigonocarpae of section Nomimium,but unresolved within the clade;two subsections(*** and Vaginatae) of section Nomimium form a clade and are placed between the stem and stemless species group;and subsection Patellares of section Nomimium is monophyletic,and Viola dissecta is diverged first in the clade with high support(BS = 100,PP = 100).Our present results support the subsectional grouping based on morphological characteristics,although discordance remained at the series level.

Wireless personal area networks （WPANs） are formed in a relatively small area, and coordinator that serves as a central control device plays an important role in the operation and organization of a piconet. Typical applications of WPANs include home automation systems, security systems and health monitoring systems. In these types of systems, guaranteeing seamless connectivity is very important, and communications cannot take place when the coordinator malfunctions. Thus, in the case of a breakdown, it is necessary to elect a new coordinator as soon as possible. For this reason, a distributed coordinator election scheme （DCES） is proposed that considers not only QoS support but also network connectivity in an effort to avoid possible network partition. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can elect a new coordinator while maintaining QoS and guaranteeing connectivity for a limited period.

Oxygen redox is considered a new paradigm for increasing the practical capacity and energy density of the layered oxide cathodes for Na-ion batteries. However, severe local structural changes and phase transitions during anionic redox reactions lead to poor electrochemical performance with sluggish ***, we propose a synergy of Li-Cu cations in harnessing the full potential of oxygen redox, through Li displacement and suppressed phase transition in P3-type layered oxide cathode. P3-type Na_(0.7)[Li_(0.1)Cu_(0.2)Mn_(0.7)]O_(2) cathode delivers a large specific capacity of ~212 mA h g^(-1)at 15 mA g^(-1). The discharge capacity is maintained up to ~90% of the initial capacity after 100 cycles, with stable occurrence of the oxygen redox in the high-voltage region. Through advanced experimental analyses and first-principles calculations, it is confirmed that a stepwise redox reaction based on Cu and O ions occurs for the charge-compensation mechanism upon charging. Based on a concrete understanding of the reaction mechanism, the Li displacement by the synergy of Li-Cu cations plays a crucial role in suppressing the structural change of the P3-type layered material under the oxygen redox reaction, and it is expected to be an effective strategy for stabilizing the oxygen redox in the layered oxides of Na-ion batteries.
