The Mg-Ni hydrogen storage alloys were prepared using the laser sintering technology. The effects of laser sintering power on the phase component and the weight loss of Mg element for the Mg-Ni alloys were investigated. The samples P1, P2 and P3 consisted of five phases： Mg2Ni, MgNi2, Mg, Ni and MgO. The weight loss of Mg element remarkably increased at 1200 W. The addition of extra Mg significantly promoted the reaction between Mg and Ni. Mg2Ni, MgNi2, and a small amount of Ni and MgO phases were present in the samples PM （pestie milling） and BM （ball milling）. The sample PM has a homogeneous microstructure, and the contents of Mg2Ni and MgNi2 were approximately consistent with those of the Mg-Ni alloy under the equilibrium conditions. The maximum hydrogen storage capacity of the sample BM was 1.72 wt.% and the sample can be activated easily at 573 K （only 3 activation cycles）.

MgH2is one of promising hydrogen storage materials,but Mg crystallites grow up very fast during hydrogen desorption,leading to the degradation of hydrogen storage *** the growth behavior and mechanism of Mg crystallites during hydrogen desorption of nanocrystalline MgH2were investigated in this *** was found that the transformation from MgH2to Mg occurred by the surface-controlled‘nucleation and growth' *** the instantaneous nucleation of Mg at free surfaces of MgH2particles,Mg crystallites grew through three stages,namely one-dimensional,then two-dimensional and finally one-dimensional *** the second stage,Mg crystallites grew quickly as compared with other *** complete hydrogen desorption,the average Mg crystallite size in MgH2-10 wt% Pr3Al11sample was smaller than that in pure MgH2sample due to the presence of Pr3Al11.

Pot experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of water management,namely continuous flooding(CF),intermittent flooding(IF)and non-flooding(NF),on Cd phytoavailaility in three paddy soils that differed in p H and in Cd *** gradients in thin films(DGT)technique was employed to monitor soil labile Cd and Fe concentrations simultaneously at three growth stages(tillering,heading and mature stage)of *** Cd phytoavailability were generally in the order of NF>IF>CF,and higher rice Cd(over permitted level,0.2 mg/kg)were only found in neutral and acidic soils under NF *** measured soil labile Cd rather than total Cd was the most reliable predictor for Cd accumulation in *** enhanced the formation of root plaques,which related to oxidation of large quantities of available Fe on root surfaces due to the O2 secretion of rice *** Cd concentration in root plaques shared the same trend with ***,root plaques would inhibit Cd uptake by rice under CF conditions,while under IF and NF conditions,root plaques act as a temporarily store of Cd,and soil labile Cd is the key factor that controls the transfer of Cd from soil to *** results of principle component analysis revealed that water management had the greatest effect on soil Cd lability and rice Cd in acidic ***,it is important to consider the availability of Cd and soil p H when assessing current agricultural practices of contaminated soil in China.

A rapid,sensitive,and cost-effective analyticalmethod was developed for the analysis of selected semivolatileorganic compounds in *** method used anautomated online solid-phase extraction technique coupledwith programmed-temperature vaporization large-volumeinjection gas chromatography/mass *** samples were extracted by using a fully automatedmobile rack system based on x-y-z robotic techniquesusing syringes and disposable 96-well extraction *** method was validated for the analysis of 30 semivolatileanalytes in drinking water,groundwater,andsurface *** a sample volume of 10 mL,the linearcalibrations ranged from 0.01 or 0.05 to 2.5μg·L^(-1),and themethod detection limits were less than 0.1μg·L^(-1).For thereagent water samples fortified at 1.0μg·L^(-1)and2.0μg·L^(-1),the obtained mean absolute recoveries were70%-130%with relative standard deviations of less than20%for most *** the drinking water,groundwater,and surface water samples fortified at 1.0μg·L^(-1),theobtained mean absolute recoveries were 50%-130%withrelative standard deviations of less than 20%for *** new method demonstrated three advantages:1)no manipulation except the fortification of surrogatestandards prior to extraction;2)significant cost reductionassociated with sample collection,shipping,storage,andpreparation;and 3)reduced exposure to hazardous solventsand other *** a result,this new automatedmethod can be used as an effective approach for screeningand/or compliance monitoring of selected semi-volatileorganic compounds in water.

Development of advanced high-voltage electrolytes is key to achieving high-energy-density lithium metal batteries(LMBs).Weakly solvating electrolytes(WSE)can produce unique anion-driven interphasial chemistry via altering the solvating power of the solvent,but it is difficult to dissolve the majority of li salts and fail to cycle at a cut-off voltage above 4.5 ***,we present a new-type WSE that is regulated by the anion rather than the solvent,and the first realize stable cycling of dimethoxyethane(DME)at 4.6 V without the use of the“solvent-in-salt”*** relationships between the degree of dissociation of salts,the solvation structure of electrolytes,and the electrochemical performance of LMBs were systematically *** found that liBF_(4),which has the lowest degree of dissociation,can construct an anion-rich inner solvation shell,resulting in anion-derived anode/cathode *** to such unusual solvation structure and interphasial chemistry,the li-liCoO_(2)full cell with liBF_(4)-based WSE could deliver excellent rate performance(115 mAh g^(-1)at 10 C)and outstanding cycling stability even under practical conditions,including high loading(10.7 mg cm^(-2)),thin li(50μm),and limited electrolyte(1.2μL mg^(-1)).

We have obtained vertically aligned ZnO nanowire arrays synthesized by microwave-assisted heating method with different growth *** the room-temperature PL measurement,the strong deep-level emission and weak near band edge(NBE)emission can be *** deep-level emissions became weaker and deep-level emissions became stronger when the samples were annealed at 300℃for 30 min,meanwhile,the NBE emission peaks get red-shifted with growth time,and the longer the growth time,the more the peak *** phenomenon can be attributed that the diameter of ZnO nanowires increases with growth *** PL emission phenomenon is important in research of optoelectronic application.

We synthesized photo-responsive carboxymethyl chitosan(CMC-MA)via free radical polymerization and utilized nanoclay laponite(LAP)as an inorganic crosslinking agent to develop an injectable and 3D-printable CMC-MA/LAP *** determined the optimal ratio of 2.5 w/v%CMC-MA/7.5 w/v%LAP based on injection molding,compression modulus,swelling properties,rheological properties,and 3D printing properties of the hydrogel ***-vitro cytocompatibility experiments showed that both CMC-MA and CMC-MA/LAP hydrogel had no inhibitory effect on cell proliferation and can promote cell growth when cultured on the surface of the hydrogel ***,the hydrogel containing LAP particles significantly facilitated cell adhesion(>60%)compared with the hydrogel without LAP(20%).Our findings demonstrate that the CMC-MA/LAP hydrogel has great potential for tissue repair in neural tissue engineering.

Altrenogest(ALT),drospirenone(DRO),and melengestrol acetate(MLA)are three highly potent synthetic progestins that can be released into agricultural soils,while their fate in soil minerals remains *** study explored the transformation of these progestins in MnO_(2),SiO_(2),and ferrihydrite suspensions and identified their transformation products(TPs)via high resolution mass spectrometry and density functional theory *** were only observed for DRO and MLA in SiO_(2) suspension and ALT in MnO_(2) suspension(half-lives=0.86 min–9.90 day).ALT transformation was facilitated at higher MnO_(2) loadings,while DRO and MLA transformations were inhibited at higher SiO_(2) *** data indicated that hydrophobic partitioning interactionwas dominant at higher SiO_(2) loadings rather than specific interaction,which limited subsequent surface-catalyzed *** transformation rate decreased with increasing pH because MnO_(2) reduction requires proton *** contrast,relatively high pH facilitated MLA and DRO transformation,indicating that base-catalyzed hydrolysis occurred in SiO_(2) *** clustermap demonstrated the formation of abundant *** ring and acetoxy group hydrolysis was the major transformation pathway for DRO and MLA,with estimated yields of 57.7%and 173.2%at 6 day,*** experienced C12 hydroxylation and formed the major TP 326g(yield of 15.4%at 8 hr).ALT also experienced allyl group oxidation and subsequent C5 hydroxylation,forming the major TP 344a(yield of 14.1%at 8 hr).This study demonstrates that TPs ofmetastable progestins are likely the main species in soils and that TP identification is a particular priority for risk assessment.

The interactively interfacial reactions between the iron-reducing bacterium (Shewanella decolorationis, S12) and iron oxide (α-FeOOH) were investigated to determine reductive dechlorination transformation of chlorinated organic compounds (chloroform and pentachlorophenol). The results showed that the interactive system of S12+ α-FeOOH exhibited relatively high dechlorination rate. By comparison, the S12 biotic system alone had no obvious dechlorination, and the α-FeOOH abiotic system showed low dechlorination rate. The enhanced dechlorination of chloroform and pentachlorophenol in the interactive system of S12+α-FeOOH was derived from the promoted generation of adsorbed Fe(Ⅱ) by S12. A decrease in redox potential of the Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ) couple in the interactive reaction system was determined by cyclic voltammetry. Our results will give new insight into interactively interfacial reaction between iron-reducing bacterium and iron oxides for degradation of chlorinated organic compounds under anaerobic condition.
