Exploring drivers of the aggravated surface O_(3) over North China Plain in summer of 2015–2019: Aerosols, precursors, and meteorology

Continuous aggravated surface O_(3) over North China Plain(NCP)has attracted widely public ***,we evaluated the effects of changes in aerosols,precursor emissions,and meteorology on O_(3) in summer(June)of 2015–2019 over NCP via 8 scenarios with WRF-Chem *** simulated mean MDA8 O_(3) in urban areas of 13 major cities in NCP increased by 17.1%∼34.8%,which matched well with the observations(10.8%∼33.1%).Meanwhile,the model could faithfully reproduce the changes in aerosol loads,precursors,and meteorological conditions.A relatively-even O_(3) increase(+1.2%∼+3.9%for 24-h O_(3) and+1.0%∼+3.8%for MDA8 O_(3))was induced by PM_(2.5) dropping,which was consistent with the geographic distribution of regional PM_(2.5) ***,the NO_(2) reduction coupled with a nearconstant VOCs led to the elevated VOCs/NOx ratios,and then caused O_(3) rising in the areas under VOCs-limited ***,the pronounced increases occurred in Handan,Xingtai,Shijiazhuang,Tangshan,and Langfang(+10.7%∼+13.6%for 24-h O_(3) and+10.2%∼+12.2%forMDA8 O_(3));while the increases in other citieswere 5.7%∼10.5%for 24-h O_(3) and 4.9%∼9.2%for MDA8 O_(3).Besides,the meteorological fluctuations brought about the more noticeable O_(3) increases in northern parts(+12.5%∼+13.5%for 24-h O_(3) and+11.2%∼+12.4%for MDA8 O_(3))than those in southern and central parts(+3.2%∼+9.3%for 24-h O_(3) and+3.7%∼+8.8%for MDA8 O_(3)).The sum of the impacts of the three drivers reached 16.7%∼21.9%,which were comparable to the changes of the observed O_(3).Therefore,exploring reasonable emissionsreduction strategies is essential for the ozone pollution mitigation over this region.

Elucidating the inherent origins of the sluggish hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)kinetics in alkaline media and developing high-performance electrocatalysts are fundamental for the advances of conventional alkaline water electrolyzers and emerging anion exchange membrane(AEM)*** we present a facile electrochemical modification strategy for the synthesis of bi-component Co–Mo_((18%))/A-Co(OH)_(2)catalyst toward efficient HER catalysis in alkaline *** Co–Mo alloys with adjustable Mo/Co atomic ratio are first prepared by H2-assisted cathodic *** virtue of the appropriate electronic structure and hydrogen binding energy,Co–Mo_((18%))is the most HER active among the alloys and is further activated by a constant-current electrochemical modification *** characterizations reveal the formation of amorphous Co(OH)_(2)nanoparticles on the *** analysis combined with theoretical calculations reveal that the in-situ formed Co(OH)_(2)can efficiently promote the water dissociation,resulting in accelerated Volmer-step *** a result,the Co–Mo_((18%))/A-Co(OH)_(2)simultaneously achieves the optimization of the two factors dominating alkaline HER activity,i.e.,water dissociation and hydrogen adsorption/desorption via the bifunctional synergy of the *** high HER activity(η10 of 47 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2))of Co–Mo_((18%))/A-Co(OH)_(2)is close to benchmark Pt/C catalyst and comparable or superior to the most active non-noble metal catalysts.

Based on the orthotropic elastic theory of rock masses, the X-ray method was used to measure the distribution of macro-residual strain energy density along a depth profile,using core samples taken from 47 large-aperture deep boreholes in four regions of Southwest China： the Longmenshan, Anninghe, Honghe, and Xianshuihe fault ***, the vertical gradients of the macro-residual strain energy density and the macroresidual strain energy contained in high-energy cuboid block segments along each fault zone were determined. The results demonstrate that the macro-residual strain energy stored at shallow levels in the rock mass in these fault zones may be partly responsible for generating many large earthquakes and may explain why the large earthquakes in this region are typically shallow.

Numerical simulation has become a useful approach to explore the complex physical and chemical process inside the supercritical water(SCW)fluidized bed *** to the drastic and non-linear variation of water properties near pseudocritical point,the flow field and drag coefficient of SCW flow past a cold particle are considerably different from that of conventional ***,in this work,particle-resolved numerical investigation is conducted to study the flow field and drag characteristics under the influence of the special water properties *** varying the enthalpy corresponding to the particle surface temperature,which will be called the particle surface enthalpy for short,in a wide range,it realizes the study under different properties variation *** simulated results demonstrate that the variations of drag coefficient versus Reynolds number(Re)and particle surface enthalpy are in good regularity when taking the freestream temperature as reference *** drag coefficient is enhanced greatly at high enthalpy difference between particle surface and inflow,and the enhancement is mainly contributed by that of the frictional drag ***,the drag coefficient variations under different pressures are in good agreement when cases are set with the same inflow and particle surface enthalpies,*** fitting the simulated results,a new drag coefficient correlation is developed for Re range of 10–200 with consideration of the influence of the special properties *** fitting quality is good that the maximum deviation between the new correlation and simulated data is 13.92%,and the mean deviation is 3.67%.

We prove here the smoothness and the irreducibility of the periodic dynatomic curves(c,z)∈C2such that z is n-periodic for zd+c,where d *** use the method provided by Buff and Lei where they proved the conclusion for d=*** proof for smoothness is based on elementary calculations on the pushforwards of specific quadratic differentials,following Thurston and Epstein,while the proof for irreducibility is a simplified version of Lau-Schleicher’s proof by using elementary arithmetic properties of kneading sequence instead of internal addresses.

Using agent development tools to construct an agent-based system is a well applied approach. However, the development tools usually do not have the function to check the feasibility about the workflow of the agent system during it implementation stage. Therefore, to develop an evaluation approach to analyze the feasibility of a developing agent system such that the improper workflow of an agent system can be found in the early design stage is a necessary task to reduce the risk of implementation. In this research, a Petri Net （PN） based three-stage evaluation approach was developed. In the conceptual stage, the pitfall of the current agent system developing process was examined and an improvement analysis process was specified. Then, in the system design stage, an evaluation approach which extracted the process log file from a developing agent system into a PN model in terms of a process mining approach-or algorithm was proposed. This model was simulated in a PN simulation package. The agent system performance was evaluated in terms of analyzing the deadlock phenomena of the PN model. Finally, in the implementation stage, the proposed concept was implemented by using an agent developing tool JADE and a PN simulation tool CPN. An agent-based robotic assembly system was used to examine the possible deadlock of the agent system.

Based on the perspective of sustainability transitions(ST)theory,the paper dissects the opera-tional mechanisms of protected space driving emerging technology industrialization from an external system perspective,which is on the basis of defining essential characteristics and func-tional attributes of protected ***,it structures a three-dimensional evaluation model of protected space from the perspective of internal mechanism by introducing the policy mixes ***,taking the Chinese New Energy Vehicle(NEV)industry as the example and using the system dynamics modeling method,the paper designs different simulation schemes from three dimensions of horizontal evolution trend,three types of policy instrument change and policy mixes of protected space,to predict and analyze the operation effect of protected *** results show that the Chinese NEV industry is in the stage of market niche entry,and corresponding measures should be taken to increase the market scale,form effective demand and scale effect,and promote the diffusion of market niche;the effect of policy mixes is better than that of the single policy instrument;specific policy mixes should be adopted to develop simultaneously from both the supply and demand sides to improve the industrialization level of NEV.

Bufalin is efficacious in treating various tumors, however, the clinical application of which is restricted by the myocardial toxicity. Developing a smart synergetic delivery system is widely considered as a promising therapeutic strategy. To address this issue, a black phosphorus hybrid polypeptides hydrogel was designed to highly load bufalin, and achieved near-infrared (NIR)-controllable drug release with synergistic photothermal-chemo therapeutic effect. Black phosphorus nanosheets (BPNSs) and bufalin were co-loaded in temperature-sensitive supramolecular hydrogel to receive smart hybridization (BP-bufalin@SH). With NIR irradiation (1 W·cm−2), BP-bufalin@SH exhibited a rapid and large temperature increase and released bufalin via light-controllable manner, with which the side effects of bufalin were greatly decreased. Combined with photothermal-chemo therapeutic effect, BP-bufalin@SH could collapse the mitochondrial transmembrane potential resulting in the irreversible apoptosis of tumor cells, and realize a highly efficient in vivo tumor elimination with good biosafety and biocompatibility. This work provides a new hydrogel platform for controlling bufalin release, and thus further promotes the practical application on antitumor therapy.
