This study utilized a neuronal compartment model and NEURON software to study the effects of external light stimulation on retinal photoreceptors and spike patterns of neurons in a retinal network Following light stimulation of different shapes and sizes, changes in the spike features of ganglion cells indicated that different shapes of light stimulation elicited different retinal responses. By manipulating the shape of light stimulation, we investigated the effects of the large number of electrical synapses existing between retinal neurons. Model simulation and analysis suggested that interplexiform cells play an important role in visual signal information processing in the retina, and the findings indicated that our constructed retinal network model was reliable and feasible. In addition, the simulation results demonstrated that ganglion cells exhibited a variety of spike patterns under different light stimulation sizes and different stimulation shapes, which reflect the functions of the retina in signal transmission and processing.

This paper studies the incompressible limit and stability of global strong solutions to the threedimensional full compressible Navier-Stokes equations, where the initial data satisfy the "well-prepared" conditions and the velocity field and temperature enjoy the slip boundary condition and convective boundary condition, respectively. The uniform estimates with respect to both the Mach number ∈(0, ∈] and time t ∈ [0, ∞) are established by deriving a differential inequality with decay property, where ∈∈(0, 1] is a *** the Mach number vanishes, the global solution to full compressible Navier-Stokes equations converges to the one of isentropic incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in t ∈ [0, +∞). Moreover, we prove the exponentially asymptotic stability for the global solutions of both the compressible system and its limiting incompressible system.

As the use of facial attributes continues to expand,research into facial age estimation is also *** face images are easily affected by factors including illumination and occlusion,the age estimation of faces is a challenging *** paper proposes a face age estimation algorithm based on lightweight convolutional neural network in view of the complexity of the environment and the limitations of device computing *** face age estimation based on Soft Stagewise Regression Network(SSR-Net)and facial images,this paper employs the Center Symmetric Local Binary Pattern(CSLBP)method to obtain the feature image and then combines the face image and the feature image as network input *** feature images to the convolutional neural network can improve the accuracy as well as increase the network model *** experimental results on IMDB-WIKI and MORPH 2 datasets show that the lightweight convolutional neural network method proposed in this paper reduces model complexity and increases the accuracy of face age estimations.

This paper is devoted to a class of inverse coefficient problems for nonlinear elliptic variational inequalities. The unknown coefficient of elliptic variational inequalities depends on the gradient of the solution and belongs to a set of admissible coefficients. It is shown that the nonlinear elliptic variational inequalities is unique solvable for the given class of coefficients. The existence of quasisolutions of the inverse problems is obtained.

Hepatitis B virus(HBV) is a major cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Its chronic infection can lead to chronic liver inflammation and the accumulation of genetic alterations to result in the oncogenic transformation of hepatocytes. HBV can also sensitize hepatocytes to oncogenic transformation by causing genetic and epigenetic changes of the host chromosomes. HBV DNA can insert into host chromosomes and recent large-scale whole-genome sequencing studies revealed recurrent HBV DNA integrations sites that may play important roles in the initiation of hepatocellular carcinogenesis. HBV can also cause epigenetic changes by altering the methylation status of cellular DNA, the post-translational modification of histones, and the expression of micro RNAs. These changes can also lead to the eventual hepatocellular transformation. These recent findings on the genetic and epigenetic alterations of the host chromosomes induced by HBV opened a new avenue for the development of novel diagnosis and treatments for HBV-induced HCC.

With so many sports becoming increasingly popular,sports have come to play an important role in promoting the process of globalization and formatting the world city network(WCN).Previous studies have constructed the WCN based on the distribution of international sport federations(ISFs)and the sites of international sport events(ISEs),but there is still a lack of systematic research on the intercity connections caused by *** three most recent Olympic Games as cases,this paper explores intercity connections and WCN based on *** results show that(1)the Olympic WCN has city nodes around the world except in Antarctica,and the number and activity values of the cities in host countries may increase intensively during the Olympic Games.(2)A hierarchical city system with four tiers(global central cities,specialized central cities,national central cities and specialized cities)is formed by the intercity connections caused by the Olympic Games.(3)The WCN based on the Olympic Games,is made up of many subnetworks,while many differences occur due to the diverse decisions made by the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games(OCOG),host cities or even host countries in the events associated with sponsorship activity and publicity *** study not only broadens the relevant fields of sports culture-oriented WCN research but also explores the instability of the WCN,which makes it an effective reference for WCN research based on ISEs.

As the main load bearing component,the steel strand has a significant impact on the safety of civil ***-time monitoring of steel strand stress distribution throughout the damage process is an impor-tant aspect of civil infrastructure health ***,this study proposes an optical-electrical co-sensing(OECS)smart steel strand with the DOFS and CCFPI embedded *** can simultaneously measure small strains in the initial damage phase with high accuracy and obtain information in the large deformation phase with relatively low *** experiments were carried out to test its sensing *** shows both DOFS and CCFPI have good linearity,repeatability and *** comparison to DOFS,CCFPI has a relatively lower accuracy and resolution,but a large enough measurement range to tolerate the large strain in the event of a steel strand *** verify the reliability of the proposed smart steel strand in real structures,the strand strain distribution in the full damage process of bonded prestressed beams under four-point bending loading was monitored using the smart steel strand as a prestressing *** strain measured by the OECS steel strand is shown to reflect the deformation and stiffness variation of prestressed beams under different load.
