After the appalling ＂Wuxi Drinking Water Crisis＂, increasing investigations concerning the contaminations of cyanobacterial blooms and their toxins in Lake Taihu have been performed and reported in the last two years. However, information regarding these issues before the crisis in 2007 remained insufficient. To provide some background data for further comparisons, the present study reported our investigations conducted in 2004, associated with the cyanotoxin contaminations as well as the eutrophication status in Lake Taihu. Results from the one-year-study near a drinking water resource for Wuxi City indicated that, unlike the status in recent two years, cyanobacteria and chlorophyta are the co-dominance species throughout the year. The highest toxin concentration （34.2 ng/mL） in water columns occurred in August. In bloom biomass, the peak value of intracellular toxin （0.59 μg/mg DW） was determined in October, which was lag behind that in water column. In addition, MC-RR was the major toxin variant throughout the year. During the study period, nutrients levels of total nitrogen and phosphorus were also recorded monthly. Results from the present study will lead to a better understanding of the eutrophication status and the potential risks before ＂Wuxi Drinking Water Crisis＂.

Timely and accurate mapping of rice planting areas is crucial under China's current cropping structure. This study proposes a new paddy rice mapping method by combining phenological parameters and a decision tree *** phenological parameters were developed to identify paddy rice areas based on the analysis of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI)time series and the Land Surface Water Index (LSWI)time *** six phenological parameters considered the performance of different land cover types during specific phenological phases (EVI1 and EVI2),one-half of or the entire rice growing cycle (LSWI1 and LSWI2),and the shape of the LSWI time series (KurtosisLSWI and SkewnessLSWI).A hierarchical decision tree model was designed to classify paddy rice areas according to the potential separability of different land cover types in paired phenological parameter *** showed that the decision tree model was more sensitive to LSWI1,LSWI2,and SkewnessLswi than the other phenological parameters.A paddy rice map of Jiangsu Province for 2015 was generated with an optimal threshold set of(0.4,0.42,9,19,1.5,-1.7,0.0)with a total accuracy of 93.9%.The MODIS-derived paddy rice map generally agreed with the paddy land fraction map from the National Land Cover Dataset project,but there were regional discrepancies because of their different definitions of land use and the inability of MODIS to map paddy rice at a fragmental *** MODIS-derived paddy rice map showed high correlation (R^2=0.85)with county-level agricultural *** results of this study indicate that the phenological parameter-based paddy rice mapping algorithm could be applied at larger spatial scales.

Ras-association(RA) domain family number 6(RASSF6) is a member of the Ras-association domain protein *** is epigenetically inactive and negatively regulates the malignant progression of some ***,its precise role in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) has not been *** this study,we performed immunohistochemistry(IHC) *** results show that RASSF6 is upregulated in ESCC and that the elevated expression level of RASSF6 is associated with lymph node metastasis and poor survival of ESCC *** with the clinical obse rvations,the upregulation of RASSF6 greatly promotes ESCC cell proliferation,migration and invasion as well as the cell cycle transition to Gl/S phase in *** to models in vivo,the downregulation of RASSF6 considerably inhibits ESCC tumor growth and lung ***,RASSF6 negatively regulates the tumor suppressor tripartite-motif-containing protein 16(TRIM16) by promoting its ubiquitination-dependent degradation and eventually activates pathways associated with the cell cycle and epithelialmesenchymal transition(EMT).Together,these results indicate that the RASSF6-TRIM16 axis is a key effector in ESCC progression and that RASSF6 serves as a potential target for the treatment of ESCC.

An in-depth analysis of propagation characteristics ofelasto-plastic combined stress waves in circular thin-walled tubeshas been made. In obtaining the simple-wave solution, however, mostresearches have ignored the influence of the circumferential stressrelated to the radial inertial ef- fect in the tubes. In this paperthe incremental elasto-plastic constitutive relations which areconve- nient for dynamic numerical analysis are adopted, and thefinite-difference method is used to study the evolution adpropagation of elasto-plastic combined stress waves in a thin-walledtube with the radial inertial effect of the tube considered. Thecalculation results are compared with those obtained when the radialinertial effect is not considered. The calculation results show thatthe radial inertial effect of a tube has a fairly great influence onthe propagation of elasto-plastic combined stress waves.

Alkaline treatment with steel slag and NaOH addition were investigated under different pH conditions for the fermentation of waste activated sludge. Better performance was achieved in steel slag addition scenarios for both sludge hydrolysis and acidification. More solubilization of organic matters and much production of higher VFA （volatile fatty acid） in a shorter time can be achieved at pH 10 when adjusted by steel slag. Higher enzyme activities were also observed in steel slag addition scenarios under the same pH conditions. Phosphorus concentration in the supematant increased with fermentation time and pH in NaOH addition scenarios, while in contrast most phosphorus was released and captured by steel slag simultaneously in steel slag addition scenarios. These results suggest that steel slag can be used as a substitute for NaOH in sludge alkaline treatment.

Study on target characteristic polarization state in co-polarized channel for the coherent case

The target characteristic polarization state in the co-polarized channel for the coherent case was studied in greater detail, with emphasis on the analysis of the characteristic polarization states variable with the target parameters. The Sinclair backscatter matrix was diagonalized under the change of polariza- tion basis via a unitary transformation matrix. Then the diagonal matrix was parameterized by four parameters viz. matrix amplitude, absolute phase, amplitude ratio and phase difference. The behavior of the characteristic polarization states with the varieties of target parameters was discussed together with the power density plot. The characteristic polarization states were displayed on the Poincare sphere and six conclusions were obtained, which provide theoretic support for decreasing the computational complexity of target characteristic polarization state, or anticipating its position in the power density plot. Several simple target cases were considered for validating these conclusions.

The whole society is paying close attention to ＂entrepreneurship,＂ which urges researchers to find an explanatory perspective relatively independent and with causality on the intergenerational transfer of entrepreneurship. Based on the data of the Chinese General Social Survey （short for CGSS） during the years 2010-2013, this paper analyzes how parents＇ entrepreneurship affects the probability of their offspring＇s entrepreneurship, and the results show that compared with the offspring of parents who did not start their own business, those whose parents did are more likely to choose to start their own business. In view of historical facts such as the ＂lay-off wave＂ during China＇s transformation into a market economy, we use ＂the annual number of unemployed back to work,＂ a provincial-level indicator, in the 1990s as an instrumental variable to correct possible endogenous problems. We find that parents＇ entrepreneurship has significant positive effects on the probability of their offspring＇s entrepreneurship, which may result from the informal transfer of human capital and wealth from parents to their offspring.

Retrieval of middle and upper atmospheric wind based on non-full circular fringe recorded by Fabry-Perot Inteferometer

Fabry-Perot Interferometer(FPI) has been used widely for wind measurements of the middle and upper *** date, most of FPIs have been based on full-closed circular fringe, which needs 15–25 min to obtain a group of wind velocity(zonal and meridional). However, it is hard to improve the temporal resolution because full-closed circular fringe in several directions cannot be easily imaged onto the same Charge-Coupled Device(CCD) with enough airglow intensity. In this paper, a data processing method is proposed for non-full circular fringe of FPI, which can support CCD with enough area of observations in several directions simultaneously. The method is focused on the center determination of non-full fringe. It includes radial cross-section, peak coordinate determination, and center calculation. Based on the calculated center, the fringe is annular summed. Then its radius is determined subsequently using Gaussian fitting. Finally, the wind is retrieved from the fringe radius. For validation, fringes from two ground-based FPIs were used, which are deployed in Kelan(38.71°N, 111.58°E) and Xinglong(40.40°N, 117.59°E) in China. The results retrieved from non-full fringes of FPIs were compared with that from full-closed circular fringe. The averaged wind deviation between them demonstrates reasonable difference with 5.38 ms^-(1) for 892.0 nm airglow emission, 5.81 ms^-(1) for 630.0 nm emission, and 3.03 ms^-(1) for 557.7 nm emission. Besides, wind results of Xinglong FPI are compared roughly with measurements of meteor radar which is deployed in Ming Tombs of Beijing(40.3°N,116.2°E). Good agreement demonstrates that this method is robust enough for FPI wind retrieval of mesosphere and thermosphere.

High temperature induced masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of sox9b and esr1 via DNA methylation

Elevated temperature could influence the sex differentiation by altering the expression of sex-related genes in ***, the underlying mechanisms by which the gene expression is altered remain poorly ***, we aimed to explore the role of DNA methylation in sex differentiation of zebrafish(Danio rerio) in response to elevated *** results showed that high temperature(33℃) exposure of fish from 20 to 30 days post fertilization(dpf), compared to normal temperature(28℃), resulted in male-biased sex ratio and decreased expression of female-related genes including cyp19a1a, sox9b and ***, the expressions of DNA methyltransferases dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and the DNA methylation levels in sox9b and esr1 promoter were significantly increased by high temperature, strongly implying that DNA methylation is involved in high temperature-induced masculinization of ***-treatment with 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(a DNA methylation inhibitor) attenuated the high temperature-induced masculinizing effect, recovered the expression of esr1 and sox9b, suppressed the transcription of dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and decreased the methylation of esr1 and sox9b promoter, further confirming that DNA methylation plays an important role in high temperature-induced masculinization of ***, the methylation of sox9b promoter decreased the enrichment of transcription factor CREB(cAMP-responsive element binding proteins).Overall, these findings suggest that high temperature induce masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of femalerelated genes via DNA methylation, providing a new insight in understanding the epigenetic mechanism of thermal-mediated sex differentiation in fish.

进入21世纪，经济全球化带来了文化的全球化，国与国之间的文化交流与合作日趋密切和频繁。如何吸纳异域文化的同时又能将中华民族丰富的文化遗产推向世界，成为我们这代人的职责和使命。中国几千年璀璨的文化遗产，尤其是以唐诗宋词为代表的古典诗词，不仅受到国人的喜欢，也赢得了国外文学爱好者的青睐。中国古典诗词翻译也成为文学翻译领域的重中之重，无数杰出的中外翻译家投入到古典诗词的翻译中，为中国文化的对外传播做出了巨大贡献。许渊冲，作为国内古典诗词英译的领军人物，其贡献是不可忽视的。他不仅以古典诗词翻译的数量之最，更是以其翻译的质量之上乘受到国内外文学爱好者的好评。除此之外，许渊冲依据自己大量的古典诗词英译的翻译实践和丰厚的文学翻译理论素养，立足于中国的传统翻译理论，形成了一套完整、详实的文学翻译理论体系，其中以“三美”翻译理论最具影响力。简而言之，三美指意美、音美和形美，其理论来源于鲁迅的汉文学观点。许渊冲创造性地将其应用于古典诗词的外译，指出译诗要尽可能传达原诗的意美、音美和形美。与此同时，他又通过自己大量的翻译实例，证明其三美理论的在古诗英译方面的可适用性。纵览国内针对许渊冲翻译理论的研究，其中有关许渊冲古诗英译中体现“三美论”的文章数量最多。多数研究者以许渊冲的具体译诗为例，侧重对译本的评析，以及“三美论”的内涵、意义及其实际应用效果的阐述。他们往往通过解读许译本，肯定许渊冲的译诗原则和技巧，揭示其译作具备的诗歌整体美，从而证实诗歌翻译理论中“三美论”的可行性。但是，研究资料显示，目前没有研究者对许渊冲教授所翻译的某一诗人的整本书籍所展示的翻译技巧进行系统地总结和评析。只有个别研究者采取对许渊冲教授翻译中的某一首诗进行有关“三美”方面的分析与评价，这种方式就许渊冲“三美理论”的稳定性和翻译技巧的操作性而言，难以使读者达成深度认识和透彻系统的理解。基于此，本篇论文立足于对许渊冲“三美”翻译理论的详尽阐述，针对以前“三美”翻译理论研究方面的不足，作者从研究“三美”论应用技法的角度出发，采用实例分析法与归纳相结合的方法，系统分析了许渊冲翻译的《苏轼诗词选》全书中的实例，对许教授的创作风格和再现原诗“意美、音美、形美”的翻译技巧进行深度解析、归纳和总结。在此基础上，总结出三美理论在具体应用中的不足和局限性。目的在于让古诗英译者能够在学习三美理论的基础上，学习到一些具体的、可操作的翻译技巧。本篇论文由六章组成。第一章为引言部分，介绍了21世纪中国古典诗词英译的必要性、古诗英译的国内领军人物许渊冲所取得翻译成就和本篇论文的探讨和研究的领域;第二章为文献综述部分，其中包括中国古典诗词的特征、古诗英译中主要观点、苏轼生平简介和艺术成就以及苏轼诗词英译的其他版本评价;第三章是关于许渊冲的生平介绍以及他在文学翻译方面的主要观点和成就。第四章详细阐述了许渊冲三美理论以及三美理论和三似、三化、三之理论之间的关系;第五章通过对许渊冲翻译的《苏轼诗词选》分析、归纳总结了三美理论在其翻译过程中的技法体现，并指出了这一理论在翻译实践运用中的局限性。第六章为结语。
