In this article,an omnidirectional dual-polarized antenna with synergetic electromagnetic and aerodynamic properties is propounded for high-speed diversity systems.The propounded antenna comprises a probe-fed cavity for horizontally polarized radiation and a microstrip-fed slot for vertical polarization.Double-layer metasurfaces are properly designed as artificial magnetic conductor boundaries with direct metal-mountable onboard installation and compact sizes.An attached wedge-shaped block is utilized for windage reduction in hydrodynamics.The propounded antenna is fabricated for design verification,and the experimental results agree well with the simulated ones.For vertical polarization,the operating bandwidth is in the range of 2.37–2.55 GHz,and the realized gain variation in the azimuthal radiation pattern is 3.67 decibels(dB).While an impedance bandwidth in the range of 2.45–2.47 GHz and a gain variation of 3.71 dB are also achieved for horizontal polarization.A port isolation more than 33 dB is obtained in a compact volume of 0.247λ_(0)×0.345λ_(0)×0.074λ_(0),whereλ_(0)represents the wavelength in vacuum at the center frequency,wherein the wedge-shaped block is included.The propounded diversity antenna has electromagnetic and aerodynamic merits,and exhibits an excellent potential for high-speed onboard communication.

Microstrip antennas are of significant interest and extensively utilized in communication systems because of their unique low profile.However,the general difficulty in microstrip antenna design lies in its wideband electromagnetic radiation within a low-profile structure.To enhance the bandwidth,superposing the fundamental mode and other high-order modes is the most common method,but this occupies a larger footprint than regular narrow-band modes.Here,as a counterintuitive way to broaden the bandwidth,a wideband miniaturized microstrip antenna is proposed by using two high-order modes.The avoidance of the fundamental mode allows for footprint miniaturization without decreasing the bandwidth,providing a different but feasible design strategy for wideband microstrip antennas.Compared with other microstrip antennas at the same profile,the proposed antenna achieves wider bandwidth and a smaller footprint.The experimental result shows a bandwidth of 4.81–6.01 GHz is achieved with a volume of 0.47×0.47×0.043 λ_(0)^(3),whereλ0 represents the in-vacuum wavelength at the center frequency.Therefore,the proposed design provides an effective solution to the intrinsic contradiction between wideband electromagnetic radiation and compact antenna dimensions,not only in a low profile but in a small footprint,contributing to the fundamental development of microstrip antennas.

The heat transfer performances of a microchannel heat sink in the presence of a nanofluid can be affected by the attachment of nanoparticle(NP)on the microchannel wall.In this study,the mechanisms underlying NP transport and attachment are comprehensively analyzed by means of a coupled double-distribution-function lattice Boltzmann model combined with lattice-gas automata.Using this approach,the temperature distribution and the two-phase flow pattern are obtained for different values of the influential parameters.The results indicate that the number of attached NPs decrease exponentially as their diameter and the fluid velocity grow.An increase in the wall temperature leads to an increase of the attached NPs,e.g.,the Al_(2)O_(3) NPs attached on the CuO microchannel wall increases by 105.8%in the range between 293 K and 343 K.There are more attached NPs in microchannels with an irregular structure.The tendency of SiO2 NP to attach to the PDMS(polydimethylsiloxane),Fe and Cu walls is less significant than that for Al_(2)O_(3) and CuO NP;Moreover,NPs detach from the PDMS microchannel wall more easily than from the Cu and Fe microchannel walls.The SiO2 attachment layer has the greatest influence on the heat transfer performance although its thickness is thinner than that for Al_(2)O_(3) and CuO NPs under the same conditions.

In the conventional absolute nodal coordinate formulation(ANCF), the model is pre-meshed, the number,distribution and type of elements are unchangeable during the simulation. In addition, the deformations of a flexible body are space-varying and time-varying, one cannot predict when, where, and how the deformations will occur. Therefore, in order to obtain a satisfactory accuracy during the whole simulation, the model is usually densely meshed, but it will result in a loss of computational efficiency. In this study,an adaptive absolute nodal coordinate formulation(AANCF)is proposed to optimize the accuracy and efficiency of flexible dynamics. The movement features of flexible bodies are analyzed, and the conventional and adaptive ANCF methods are compared. Then the adaptive computation strategy is presented. The discretization errors come from the inability of interpolation functions of individual elements to capture the complexity of the exact solution, so the mesh can be adaptively optimized by changing the element sizes or the orders of interpolation functions during dynamic computation. Important issues of AANCF, including error estimation,mesh updating, and performance of the AANCF model, are analyzed and discussed in detail. A theoretical model of a planar AANCF cable is presented, where the strategies of dividing and merging elements are discussed. Moreover, the continuity of dynamic variables is deduced, and the mean factors that affect the continuity are obtained, which is very important for the subsequent continuity optimization. Thesimulation results indicate that the distribution of elements varies with time and space, and the elements are denser in large-deformed domains. The AANCF model improved the computational accuracy and efficiency, but the system energy is discontinuous when the elements are merged. In view of the buckling failure caused by large deformation of Mesozoic soft rock roadway in Shajihai mining area, such as serious roof fall, rib spalling, floor heave, etc., based on the detail site investigation,theoretical analysis, mineral composition test, microstructure test, water-physical property test and field experiments were carried out. And we revealed the compound failure mechanism of Mesozoic soft rock roadway in Shajihai mining area, namely the molecule expansion-shear slip of weak structural plane-construction disturbance. On this basis, the coupling support technology whose core is constant resistance with large deformation bolt was proposed. The feature of this supporting technology is that a new type of structural composite material was used, which makes the supporting system not only has the ideal deformation characteristics, but also has high supporting resistance. Thus the fully release of plastic energy within surrounding rock and reasonable control of the thickness of the plastic ring were realized. Then the differential deformation between the surrounding rock and support was eliminated by the secondary coupling support of bolt–mesh–cable, and the bolt with high strength was applied in the base angle to control floor. Eventually the collaborative bearing system of surrounding rock–support was formed. Through field tests the validity and rationality of support was also verified.

Electroencephalography microstates as novel functional biomarkers for insomnia disorder

Background Insomnia disorder(ID)is one of the most common mental disorders.Research on ID focuses on exploring its mechanism of disease,novel treatments and treatment outcome prediction.An emerging technique in this field is the use of electroencephalography(EEG)microstates,which offer a new method of EEG feature extraction that incorporates information from both temporal and 6/spatial dimensions.Aims To explore the electrophysiological mechanisms of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)for ID treatment and use baseline microstate metrics for the prediction of its efficacy.Methods This study included 60 patients with ID and 40 age-matched and gender-matched good sleep controls(GSC).Their resting-state EEG microstates were analysed,and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and polysomnography(PSG)were collected to assess sleep quality.The 60 patients with ID were equally divided into active and sham groups to receive rTMS for 20 days to test whether rTMS had a moderating effect on abnormal microstates in patients with ID.Furthermore,in an independent group of 90 patients with ID who received rTMS treatment,patients were divided into optimal and suboptimal groups based on their median PSQI reduction rate.Baseline EEG microstates were used to build a machine-learning predictive model for the effects of rTMS treatment.Results The class D microstate was less frequent and contribute in patients with ID,and these abnormalities were associated with sleep onset latency as measured by PSG.Additinally,the abnormalities were partially reversed to the levels observed in the GSC group following rTMS treatment.The baseline microstate characteristics could predict the therapeutic effect of ID after 20 days of rTMS,with an accuracy of 80.13%.Conclusions Our study highlights the value of EEG microstates as functional biomarkers of ID and provides a new perspective for studying the neurophysiological mechanisms of ID.In addition,we predicted the therapeutic effect of rTMS on ID based on the baseline microstates of pa

The best strategy to develop the Chinese capital market in the coming 15 to 20 years was discussed in the China Capital Market Forum, which was held in China at Renmin University on January 13. Government officials, scholars, and entrepreneurs commented that by 2020, the Chinese capital market will develop into one of the best capital markets in the world, not only in terms of size, but also asset quality, liquidity and dynamic trade. Is this a realistic goal? What steps should we take to pursue this target? With these questions in mind, after the forum, China's Foreign Trade interviewed Prof. Wu Xiaoqiu, Vice President of Renmin University of China, and the Director of the Finance & Securities Institute of Renmin University.

Background:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has potential risks for both clinically worsening pulmonary hypertension(PH)and increasing mortality.However,the data regarding the protective role of vaccination in this population are still lacking.This study aimed to assess the safety of approved vaccination for patients with PH.Methods:In this national prospective cohort study,patients diagnosed with PH(World Health Organization[WHO]groups 1 and 4)were enrolled from October 2021 to April 2022.The primary outcome was the composite of PH-related major adverse events.We used an inverse probability weighting(IPW)approach to control for possible confounding factors in the baseline characteristics of patients.Results:In total,706 patients with PH participated in this study(mean age,40.3 years;mean duration after diagnosis of PH,8.2 years).All patients received standardized treatment for PH in accordance with guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of PH in China.Among them,278 patients did not receive vaccination,whereas 428 patients completed the vaccination series.None of the participants were infected with COVID-19 during our study period.Overall,398 patients received inactivated severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)vaccine,whereas 30 received recombinant protein subunit vaccine.After adjusting for baseline covariates using the IPW approach,the odds of any adverse events due to PH in the vaccinated group did not statistically significantly increase(27/428[6.3%]vs.24/278[8.6%],odds ratio=0.72,P=0.302).Approximately half of the vaccinated patients reported at least one post-vaccination side effects,most of which were mild,including pain at the injection site(159/428,37.1%),fever(11/428,2.6%),and fatigue(26/428,6.1%).Conclusions:COVID-19 vaccination did not significantly augment the PH-related major adverse events for patients with WHO groups 1 and 4 PH,although there were some tolerable side effects.A large-scale randomized controlled trial is warranted to confirm this finding.The final approval
