Physiological and Transcriptome Analysis Illuminates the Molecular Mechanisms of the Drought Resistance Improved by Alginate Oligosaccharides in Triticum aestivum L.

Alginate oligosaccharides(AOS)enhance drought resistance in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),but the definite mechanisms remain largely unknown.The physiological and transcriptome responses of wheat seedlings treated with AOS were analyzed under drought stress simulated with polyethylene glycol-6000.The results showed that AOS promoted the growth of wheat seedlings and reduced oxidative damage by improving peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activities under drought stress.A total of 10,064 and 15,208 differentially expressed unigenes(DEGs)obtained from the AOS treatment and control samples at 24 and 72 h after dehydration,respectively,were mainly enriched in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites(phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,flavonoid biosynthesis),carbohydrate metabolism(starch and sucrose metabolism,carbon fixation in photosynthetic organisms),lipid metabolism(fatty acid elongation,biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids,alpha-linolenic acid metabolism,cutin,suberine and wax biosynthesis),and signaling transduction pathways.The up-regulated genes were related to,for example,chlorophyll a-b binding protein,amylosynthease,phosphotransferase,peroxidase,phenylalanine ammonia lyase,flavone synthase,glutathione synthetase.Signaling molecules(including MAPK,plant hormones,H_(2)O_(2) and calcium)and transcription factors(mainly including NAC,MYB,MYB-related,WRKY,bZIP family members)were involved in the AOS-induced wheat drought resistance.The results obtained in this study help underpin the mechanisms of wheat drought resistance improved by AOS,and provides a theoretical basis for the application of AOS as an environmentally sustainable biological method to improve drought resistance in agriculture.

Weighted Linear Loss Large Margin Distribution Machine for Pattern Classification

Compared with support vector machine,large margin distribution machine(LDM) has better generalization performance.The central idea of LDM is to maximize the margin mean and minimize the margin variance simultaneously.But the computational complexity of LDM is high.In order to reduce the computational complexity of LDM,a weighted linear loss LDM(WLLDM) is proposed.The framework of WLLDM is built based on LDM and the weighted linear loss.The weighted linear loss is adopted instead of the hinge loss in WLLDM.This modification can transform the quadratic programming problem into a simple linear equation,resulting in lower computational complexity.Thus,WLLDM has the potential to deal with large-scale datasets.The WLLDM is similar in principle to the LDM algorithm,which can optimize the margin distribution and achieve better generalization performance.The WLLDM algorithm is compared with other models by conducting experiments on different datasets.The.experimental results show that the proposed WLLDM has better generalization performance and faster training speed.

Novel seven-membered ring-fused naphthalimide derivatives with potentials for cancer theranostics

Naphthalimide derivatives have good planarity and large conjugated structure and therefore possess photophysical properties and biological activities. Previously, our group discovered seven-membered heterocyclic derivatives via modifying 4-and 5-positions of naphthalimide skeleton and found the derivatives had good water solubility and showed large stokes shift and strong fluorescence in water. In this article, we designed and synthesized more seven-membered ring-fused naphthalimide derivatives(Y1-Y16)by introducing different substitutions on the imide group. Among them, Y1, Y5, Y9 were found to show similar cytotoxic activities with Amonafide against A549 and HL60 cells, with IC50values at 10^(-6)mol/L.What is more, the asymmetry derivatives(Y1 and Y5) showed high fluorescent quantum yields in the aqueous phase(Ф = 0.47). Considering the great fluorescence quantum yields in water and the potent anti-tumor activities of the representative seven-membered ring-fused naphthalimides, they have potentials to be used as agents for cancer theranostics.

Tensor Decomposition-Based Channel Estimation and Sensing for Millimeter Wave MIMO-OFDM V2I Systems

An integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) scheme for a millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) system is presented， in which both the access point (AP) and the vehicle equip large antenna arrays and employ hybrid analog and digital beamforming structures to compensate the path loss meanwhile compromise between hardware complexity and system performance. Based on the sparse scattering nature of the mmWave channel， the received signal at the AP is organized to a four-order tensor by the introduced novel frame structure. A CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) decomposition-based method is proposed for time-varying channel parameter extraction， including angles of departure/arrival (AODs/AOAs)， Doppler shift， time delay and path gain. Then leveraging the estimates of channel parameters， a nonlinear weighted least-square problem is proposed to accurately recover the location， heading and velocity of vehicles. Simulation results show that the proposed methods are effective and efficient in time-varying channel estimation as well as vehicle sensing in mmWave MIMO-OFDM V2I systems.

Terrestrial evapotranspiration(ET)is a crucial link between Earth’s water cycle and the surface energy budget.Accurate measurement and estimation remain a major challenge in geophysical,biological,and environmental studies.Pioneering work,represented by Dalton and Penman,and the development of theories and experiments on turbulent exchange in the atmospheric boundary layer(ABL),laid the foundation for mainstream methodologies in ET estimation.Since the 1990s,eddy covariance(EC)systems and satellite remote sensing have been widely applied from cold to tropical and from arid to humid regions.They cover water surfaces,wetlands,forests,croplands,grasslands,barelands,and urban areas,offering an exceptional number of reports on diverse ET processes.Surface nocturnal ET,hysteresis between ET and environmental forces,turbulence intermittency,island effects on heterogeneous surfaces,and phase transition between underlying surfaces are examples of reported new phenomena,posing theoretical and practical challenges to mainstream ET methodologies.Additionally,based on non-conventional theories,new methods have emerged,such as maximum entropy production and nonparametric approaches.Furthermore,high-frequency on-site observation and aerospace remote sensing technology in combination form multi-scale observations across plant stomata,leaves,plants,canopies,landscapes,and basins.This promotes an insightful understanding of diverse ET processes and synthesizes the common mechanisms of the processes between and across spatial and temporal scales.All the recent achievements in conception,model,and technology serve as the basis for breaking through the known difficulties in ET estimation.We expect that they will provide a rigorous,reliable scientific basis and experimental support to address theoretical arguments of global significance,such as the water-heat-carbon cycle,and solve practical needs of national importance,including agricultural irrigation and food security,precise management of water resources and eco-environmental prot

Different sources of MSCs on pulmonary fibrosis in C57BL/6 mice

Since stem cell therapy is the most effective treatment in the field of tissue reparation and reconstitution,the present study aimed to explore the different sources of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)on the different effects of pulmonary fibrosis-related cytokines in C57BL/6 mice.For reaching this goal,we isolated MSCs from umbilical cord blood and placenta and used for stem cell therapy in a mouse model of pulmonary fibrosis model.The pulmonary fibrosis model was done by injecting bleomycin into the trachea of C57BL/6 mice.Then we assessed the degree of pulmonary fibrosis in each mouse lung tissue at weeks 1,2,3,and 4.In addition,flow cytometry was used to evaluate the frequency of CD73,CD90,CD106,CD34,CD45,CD14 cells at the mononuclear cell level;and western blotting assays revealed the expression of IκB-α.Our results showed that stem cell therapy by placenta-derived MSC had a lower level of CD34,CD45,CD14 cells at the mononuclear cell level,and that improved pulmonary fibrosis at both molecular and pathological levels.In addition,western blotting assays revealed that the expression of IκB-αwas down-regulated in MSC-treated animals.In addition,placenta-derived MSC was the most effective in improving pulmonary fibrosis in comparison to other sources.This study suggests that MSC might be a novel therapeutic approach in pulmonary fibrosis due to an enhanced anti-inflammatory effect.Also,MSC modification by gene editing could enhance their therapeutic effect in mouse pulmonary fibrosis.

为解决储能控制参数设置不当引起的频率稳定性问题以及储能调频效果和循环使用寿命难以平衡的问题,提出一种储能调频控制参数自适应优化与退出机制设计方法。首先分析储能下垂、虚拟正(负)惯量系数对系统频率动态性能及稳定性的影响,得到参数稳定变化的范围;然后,根据控制参数稳定变化区间,设计含虚拟负惯量的模糊自适应控制方法,实现控制方式之间的平滑切换和优势互补,加快频率恢复;再则,利用Logistic函数设计考虑储能荷电状态(SOC)的自适应反馈控制策略,同时引入储能退出机制,反馈调节优化储能出力,以期解决储能调频效果和循环使用寿命难以平衡的问题。最后,在Matlab/Simulink仿真平台上进行仿真验证,验证所提策略的有效性及对频率的改善作用。

目的探讨低浓度罗哌卡因与针刺下髎穴、长强穴用于混合痔术后对患者肛门坠胀和并发症的影响。方法选取医院2020年7月—2021年7月收治的混合痔患者160例,随机均分为两组,对照组给予低浓度罗哌卡因麻醉,观察者在此基础上针刺下髎穴和长强穴,观察者术后两组患者症状消退时间、肛门坠胀程度、炎性因子和疼痛因子水平及并发症的发生率。结果观察组患者疼痛、肛门坠胀及水肿消退时间明显低于对照组(P<0.05);不同时间的肛门坠胀评分有差异(P<0.05),与对照组比较,观察组肛门坠胀评分较低(P<0.05),观察组肛门坠胀评分变化趋势有差异(P<0.05);观察组患者肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素-17(IL-17)、P物质(SP)、5-羟色胺(5-HT)水平明显低于对照组(P<0.05);观察组并发症的发生率明显低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论混合痔患者低浓度罗哌卡因麻醉术后采用与针刺下髎穴、长强穴联合治疗能有效调节机体炎性因子和疼痛因子水平,缓解肛门坠胀,缩短症状消退时间,并有助于降低术后并发症的发生率。

目的分析头针结合注意训练对脑卒中后失语症患者语言功能的影响。方法选择长春市人民医院2021年1月—2023年1月收治的100例脑卒中后失语症患者。采用随机数字表法分为对照组(n=50,头针)与观察组(n=50,头针结合注意训练)。对比2组患者干预前后症状评分、语言功能、生活能力。结果干预后,观察组患者失语症症状改善逐项评分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);2组语言功能分级比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组躯体功能、心理功能、社会功能、物质生活评分分别为(72.46±4.77)、(70.46±7.11)、(68.77±6.74)、(74.68±4.55)分,均高于对照组的(67.35±4.11)、(57.46±5.84)、(61.45±5.89)、(69.74±3.44)分,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论针对脑卒中后失语症患者实施头针结合注意训练,能够有效改善患者的语言功能,对减轻患者临床症状具有积极作用,患者的生活能力有所提升。
