The textured roll and polished roll were applied instead of the ground roll in a 20-high mill to conduct two-pass rolling of 316L stainless steel strip with thickness of 0.027 *** the two-pass rolling with the textured roll and polished roll(TPR),the surface roughness of the strip is dramatically reduced,and the surface topographical anisotropy index is diminished to 30.9%of the initial *** with the strip rolled using the ground roll in both passes(GGR),the elongation of TPR rolled strip is obviously improved,and the mechanical property anisotropy is greatly *** anisotropy index of tensile strength and elongation are 42.58%and 52.59%of that of GGR rolled strip,which is mainly attributed to the significant decrease of the texture intensity of the strip by TPR *** results indicate that TPR process can obtain the stainless steel ultra-thin strip with smooth and uniform surface topography and good mechanical properties.

An ionic liquid assisted hydrogel modified silica was synthesized using a one-pot polymerization and physical coating technique and subsequently applied to mixed-mode liquid *** techniques,including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and elemental analysis,etc.,confirmed the successful prepared of this innovative stationary *** unique combination of amide,long alkyl chain,and imidazole ring in the hydrogel coating enables the stationary phase to function effectively in hydrophilic/reversed-phase/ion exchange liquid ***,the stationary phase exhibited superior separation performance owing to the synergistic effect of the ionic liquid and *** was particularly evident when analyzing various analytes such as organic acids,nucleosides/bases,polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and ***,under our operating conditions,an excellent column efficiency of 53,642.9 plates/m was achieved for *** summary,we have proposed a straightforward strategy to enhance the separation performance of hydrogel coatings in liquid chromatography,thereby broadening the potential applications of hydrogels in the field of separation.

Cardiac rehabilitation,a comprehensive exercise-based lifestyle and medical management,is effective in decreasing morbidity and improving life quality in patients with coronary heart *** function,an irreplaceable indicator in coronary heart disease progression,is measured by various methods in traditional cardiac rehabilitation pathways,including medicinal treatment,aerobic training,and smoking ***,studies on the effect of some emerging cardiac rehabilitation programs on endothelial function are *** article briefly reviewed the endothelium-beneficial effects of different cardiac rehabilitation pathways,including exercise training,lifestyle modification and psychological intervention in patients with coronary heart disease,and related experimental models,and summarized both uncovered and potential cellular and molecular mechanisms of the beneficial roles of various cardiac rehabilitation pathways on endothelial *** exercise training and some lifestyle interventions,the enhanced bioavailability of nitric oxide,increased circulating endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs),and decreased oxidative stress are major contributors to preventing endothelial dysfunction in coronary heart ***,the preservation of endothelial-dependent hyperpolarizing factors and inflammatory suppression play *** the one hand,to develop more endothelium-protective rehabilitation methods in coronary heart disease,adequately designed and sized randomized multicenter clinical trials should be advanced using standardized cardiac rehabilitation programs and existing assessment *** the other hand,additional studies using suitable experimental models are warranted to elucidate the relationship between some new interventions and endothelial protection in both macro-and microvasculature.

The atmospheric corrosion monitoring(ACM)technique has been widely employed to track the real-time corrosion behavior of metal ***,limited studies have applied ACM to the corrosion protection properties of organic *** study compared a bare epoxy coating with one containing zinc phosphate corrosion inhibitors,both applied on ACM sensors,to observe their corrosion protection properties over *** with artificial damage via scratches were exposed to immersion and alternating dry and wet environments,which allowed for monitoring galvanic corrosion currents in *** the corrosion tests,the ACM currents of the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating were considerably lower than those of the blank epoxy *** trend in ACM current variations closely matched the results obtained from regular electrochemical tests and surface *** alignment highlights the potential of the ACM technique in evaluating the corrosion protection capabilities of organic *** with the blank epoxy coating,the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating showed much-decreased ACM current values that confirmed the effective inhibition of zinc phosphate against steel corrosion beneath the damaged coating.

Complex bridge structures designed and constructed by humans often necessitate extensive on-site execution,which carries inherent ***,a variety of engineering practices are employed to monitor bridge *** paper presents a case study of a large-span prestressed concrete(PC)variable-section continuous girder bridge in China,proposing a feedback system for construction monitoring and establishing a finite element(FE)analysis model for the entire *** alignment of the completed bridge adheres to the initial design expectations,with maximum displacement and pre-arch differences from the ideal state measuring 6.39 and 17.7 mm,respectively,which were less than the 20 mm limit required by the ***,the stress monitoring showed that the maximum compressive stress was 10.44 MPa,which was 7.5%different from the finite element results,and better predicted the most unfavorable possible *** results demonstrate that a scientifically rigorous construction monitoring and feedback system can ensure the safety of bridge construction and meet the expected construction *** findings presented in this paper provide valuable insights for bridge construction monitoring practices.

Lithium metal is one of the most promising anodes for lithium batteries because of their high theoretical specific capacity and the low electrochemical potential. However, the commercialization of lithium metal anodes(LMAs) is facing significant obstacles, such as uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth and unstable solid electrolyte interface, leading to inferior Coulombic efficiency, unsatisfactory cycling stability and even serious safety issues. Introducing low-cost natural clay-based materials(NCBMs) in LMAs is deemed as one of the most effective methods to solve aforementioned issues. These NCBMs have received considerable attention for stabilizing LMAs due to their unique structure, large specific surface areas, abundant surface groups, high mechanical strength, excellent thermal stability, and environmental friendliness. Considering the rapidly growing research enthusiasm for this topic in the last several years, here, we review the recent progress on the application of NCBMs in stable and dendrite-free *** different structures and modification methods of natural clays are first summarized. In addition, the relationship between their modification methods and nano/microstructures, as well as their impact on the electrochemical properties of LMAs are systematically discussed. Finally, the current challenges and opportunities for application of NCBMs in stable LMAs are also proposed to facilitate their further development.

Inhibition of jarosite heterogeneous crystallization on anglesite via in-situ formation of competitive substrate

Heterogeneous crystallization is a common occurrence during the formation of *** leads to the encapsulation of valuable/hazardous metals within the primary phase,presenting significant challenges for waste treatment andmetal ***,we proposed a novel method involving the in-situ formation of a competitive substrate during the precipitation of jarosite waste,which is an essential process for removing iron in zinc *** observed that the in-situ-formed competitive substrate effectively inhibits the heterogeneous crystallization of jarosite on the surface of anglesite,a lead-rich phase present in the *** a result,the iron content on the anglesite surface decreases from34.8%to 1.65%.The competitive substrate was identified as schwertmannite,characterized by its loose structure and large surface ***,we have elucidated a novel mechanism underlying this inhibition of heterogeneous crystallization,which involves the local supersaturation of jarosite caused by the release of ferric and sulfate ions from the competitive *** local supersaturation promotes the preferential heterogeneous crystallization of jarosite on the competitive ***,during the formation of jarosite,the competitive substrate gradually vanished through a dissolution-recrystallization process following the Ostwald rule,where a metastable phase slowly transitions to a stable *** effectively precluded the introduction of impurities and reduced waste *** goal of this study is to provide fresh insights into the mechanism of heterogeneous crystallization control,and to offer practical crystallization strategies conducive to metal separation and recovery from solid waste in industries.
