Bacterial biofilms present a significant challenge in treating drug-resistant infections,necessitating the development of innovative *** this study,we introduce triclosan-conjugated,lipase-responsive polymeric micelles designed to exploit biofilm properties and serve as a responsive drug delivery *** micelles were created using an amphiphilic block polymer synthesized via ring-opening polymerization ofε-caprolactone(CL)and triclosan-containing cyclic trimethylene carbonate(MTC-Tri).Poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG-OH)acted as the macro-initiator,resulting in micelles with a PEG shell that facilitated their penetration into bacterial *** important advantage of our micelles lies in their interaction with local bacterial lipases within *** lipases triggered rapid micelle degradation,releasing triclosan in a controlled *** liberated triclosan effectively eliminated bacteria embedded in the ***,the triclosan-conjugated micelles displayed minimal toxicity to murine fibroblasts,indicating their biocompatibility and *** finding emphasizes the potential application of these micelles in combatting drug resistance observed in bacterial *** triclosan-conjugated,lipase-responsive polymeric micelles exhibit promising characteristics for addressing drug resistance in bacterial *** harnessing biofilm properties and implementing a responsive drug delivery system,we seek to provide an effective solution in the fight against drug-resistant bacteria.

Impact wear properties of dissimilar joints between bainitic frogs and pearlite rails

The impact wear behavior and damage mechanism of dissimilar welded joints between U26Mn frog and U75 V rail before and after normalizing treatment were studied by cyclic impact *** experiment indicated that the impact wear volume of the joints increased with the increasing number of impact *** main wear mechanisms include pitting wear,mild fatigue wear,delamination wear,and fatigue wear,and plastic deformation was the primary impact wear *** them,fatigue wear had the greatest influence on wear volume,while other wear mechanisms had limited *** impact wear resistance of the base material was better than that of the heat-affected *** treatment was beneficial to improving the impact wear resistance of welded joints owing to its effect to promote pearlite recovery,grain refinement,and uniform distribution of *** martensite generated in the rail welded joints aggravated the impact wear damage to the materials,which should be avoided.

Although lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)exhibit high theoretical energy density,their practical application is hindered by poor conductivity of the sulfur cathode,the shuttle effect,and the irreversible deposition of li_(2)*** address these issues,a novel composite,using electrospinning technology,consisting of Fe_(3)Se_(4)and porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers was designed for the interlayer of *** porous carbon nanofiber structure facilitates the transport of ions and electrons,while the Fe_(3)Se_(4)material adsorbs lithium polysulfides(liPSs)and accelerates its catalytic conversion ***,the Fe_(3)Se_(4)material interacts with soluble liPSs to generate a new polysulfide intermediate,li_(x)FeS_(y)complex,which changes the electrochemical reaction pathway and facilitates the three-dimensional deposition of li_(2)S,enhancing the reversibility of *** designed LSB demonstrates a high specific capacity of1529.6 mA h g^(-1)in the first cycle at 0.2 *** rate performance is also excellent,maintaining an ultra-high specific capacity of 779.7 mA h g^(-1)at a high rate of 8 *** investigation explores the mechanism of the interaction between the interlayer and liPSs,and provides a new strategy to regulate the reaction kinetics and li_(2)S deposition in LSBs.

Humic acid(HA)is a typical refractory organicmatter,so it is of great significance to investigate its effect on the performance of Anammox granular *** the dosage ofHA≤50 mg/L,HA promotes the total nitrogen removal rate(NRR)to 1.45 kg/(m^(3)·day).When HA was between 50 and 100 mg/L,the NRR of Anammox was *** this time,the adsorption of HA causes the sludge to gradually turn fromred to brown,but the activities of heme and enzymes showed that its capacitywas not *** HA levels reached 250 mg/L,the NRR dropped to 0.11 kg/(m3·day).Moderate HA levels promoted the release of extracellular polymeric substance(EPS),but excessive HA levels lead to a decrease in EPS *** inhibited Anammox activity,which indirectly hindered the transmission of substrate and accumulated substrate *** HA promoted the increase of heterotrophicmicrobial abundance in Anammox system,the microbial diversity decreased *** the increase of HA concentration,the abundance of Candidatus_Brocadia,the main functional microorganism of Anammox system,decreased gradually,while the abundance of Candidatus_Kuenenia increased gradually.

lithium-sulfur(li-S)batteries are one of the most promising modern-day energy supply systems because of their high theoretical energy density and low ***,the development of high-energy density li-S batteries with high loading of flammable sulfur faces the challenges of electrochemical performance degradation owing to the shuttle effect and safety issues related to fire or explosion *** this work,we report a three-dimensional(3D)conductive nitrogen-doped carbon foam supported electrostatic self-assembled MXene-ammonium polyphosphate(NCF-MXene-APP)layer as a heat-resistant,thermally-insulated,flame-retardant,and freestanding host for li-S batteries with a facile and costeffective synthesis ***,through the use of NCF-MXene-APP hosts that strongly anchor polysulfides,the li-S batteries demonstrate outstanding electrochemical properties,including a high initial discharge capacity of 1191.6 mA h g^(-1),excellent rate capacity of 755.0 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C,and long-term cycling stability with an extremely low-capacity decay rate of 0.12%per cycle at 2 *** importantly,these batteries can continue to operate reliably under high temperature or flame attack ***,this study provides valuable insights into the design of safe high-performance li-S batteries.

Ultra-high nickel material is considered to be a promising cathode ***,with the increase of nickel content,the interfacial side reactions between the cathode and electrolyte become increasingly ***,an atomically controllable ionic conductor li_(3)PO_(4)(LPO)coating is deposited on the liNi_(0.90)Co_(0.06)Mn_(0.04)O_(2)(NCM9064)based electrode by the atomic layer deposition *** results shows that the LPO coating is uniformly and densely covered on the surface of secondary particles of NCM9064,helping to prevent the direct contact between the electrolyte and cathode during the chargingdischarging *** addition,the coating layer is electrochemically *** a result,the interfacial side reactions during the long cycle are effectively suppressed,and the solid electrolyte interphase layer at the interface is *** electrode with 20 layers of LPO deposition(ALD-LPO-20)exhibits an excellent capacity retention of 81%after 200 cycles in 2.8-4.3 V at 25℃,which is 18%higher than the unmodified material(ALD-LPO-0).Besides,the moderate LPO coating improves the rate capability and high temperature cycling performance of *** study provides a method for the modification of ultra-high nickel cathode materials and corresponding electrodes.

TheⅣ-Ⅵcompound GeTe is considered as a promising alternative to the toxic PbTe for high-efficiency mid-temperature thermoelectric ***,pristine GeTe suffers from a high concentration of Ge vacancies,resulting in an excessively high hole concentration(>1×10^(21)cm^(-3)),which greatly limits its thermoelectric *** address this issue,CuBiTe_(2)alloying is introduced to increase the formation energy of Ge vacancies in GeTe,thereby inhibiting the high carrier *** carrier scattering caused by the electronegativity difference between different elements is suppressed due to the similar electronegativity of Cu and Ge atoms.A relatively high hole mobility is obtained,which ultimately leads to a high power ***,by introducing Se as an alloying element at the anionic site in GeTe,dense point defects with mass/strainfield fluctuations are *** contributes to the strengthening of phonon scattering,thereby reducing the lattice thermal conductivity from 1.44 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)for pristine GeTe to 0.28 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)for Ge_(0.95)Cu_(0.05)Bi_(0.05)Te_(0.9)Se_(0.15)compound at 623 K.

Accurate approaches for estimating flow resistance in large alluvial rivers are fundamental for simulating discharge,sediment transport,and flood ***,methods for estimating riverbed resistance and additional resistance in the channel-bar landscapes remain poorly *** this study,we used in situ river bathymetry,sediment,and hydraulic data from the Shashi Reach in the Yangtze River to develop a semi-empirical approach for calculating flow *** method quantitatively separates flow resistance into riverbed resistance and additional resistance and shows high accuracy in terms of deviation ratio(~20%),root-mean-square error(~0.008),and geometric standard deviation(~3).Additional resistance plays a dominant role under low-flow conditions but a secondary role under high flows,primarily due to the reduction in momentum exchange in channel-bar regions as discharge *** resistance first decreases and then increases,which might be attributed to bedform changes in the lower and transitional flow regimes as flow velocity ***,our findings further the understanding of dynamic changes in flow resistance in the channel-bar landscapes of large river systems and have important implications for riverine ecology and flood management.

Sedimentary Environment and Mineralization of the Black Shale Polymetallic Layer in the Early Cambrian,SW China:Constraints from in situ LA-ICP-MS Analysis of Pyrite

A polymetallic layer is usually developed at the bottom of the early Cambrian black shale in Guizhou *** mineral that makes up the polymetallic layer is related to the sedimentary *** analyze the differentiation mechanism between polymetallic deposits(Ni-Mo and V),the Zhijin Gezhongwu profile located in the outer shelf and the Sansui Haishan V deposit located in the lower slope are selected to study the in situ sulfur isotopes and trace elements of *** results show that δ^(34)S values of pyrite vary widely from−7.8‰to 28‰in the Gezhongwu profile,while the δ^(34)S values are relatively uniform(from 27.8‰to 38.4‰)in the Haishan *** isotopic S composition is consistent with the transition that occurs in the sedimentary phase from the shelf to the deep sea on the transgressive Yangtze platform;this indicates that the δ^(34)SO_(4)^(2−)values in seawater must be differently distributed in depositional *** sulfur in the Ni-Mo layer is produced after the mixing of seawater and hydrothermal fluid,while the V layer mainly originates from ***,the Ni-Mo and V deposits have been differentiated primarily on the basis of the combined effect of continental weathering and hydrothermal fluid.
