A new structure for efficient and cost-effective L-band amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) generation was experimentally investigated and demonstrated using a C/L-band coupler, an optical mirror, and a fiber Bragg grating (FBG). The proposed structure has about 1.5 dB increase of the power around 1570 nm compared with conventional one. Various structures for power enhancement were also considered.

Numerically generating synthetic surface topography that closely resembles the features and characteristics of experimental surface topography measurements reduces the need to perform these intricate and costly ***,existing algorithms to numerically generated surface topography are not well-suited to create the specific characteristics and geometric features of as-built surfaces that result from laser powder bed fusion(LPBF),such as partially melted metal particles,porosity,laser scan lines,and ***,we present a method to generate synthetic as-built LPBF surface topography maps using a progressively growing generative adversarial *** qualitatively and quantitatively demonstrate good agreement between synthetic and experimental as-built LPBF surface topography maps using areal and deterministic surface topography parameters,radially averaged power spectral density,and material ratio *** ability to accurately generate synthetic as-built LPBF surface topography maps reduces the experimental burden of performing a large number of surface topography ***,it facilitates combining experimental measurements with synthetic surface topography maps to create large data-sets that facilitate,*** as-built surface topography to LPBF process parameters,or implementing digital surface twins to monitor complex end-use LPBF parts,amongst other applications.

Open-source licenses can promote the development of machine learning by allowing others to access,modify,and redistribute the training ***,not all open-source licenses may be appropriate for data sharing,as some may not provide adequate protections for sensitive or personal information such as social network ***,some data may be subject to legal or regulatory restrictions that limit its sharing,regardless of the licensing model ***,obtaining large amounts of labeled data can be difficult,time-consuming,or expensive in many real-world ***-shot graph classification,as one application of meta-learning in supervised graph learning,aims to classify unseen graph types by only using a small amount of labeled ***,the current graph neural network methods lack full usage of graph structures on molecular graphs and social network *** structural features are known to correlate with molecular properties in chemistry,structure information tends to be ignored with sufficient property information ***,the common binary classification task of chemical compounds is unsuitable in the few-shot setting requiring novel ***,this paper focuses on the graph classification tasks of a social network,whose complex topology has an uncertain relationship with its nodes'*** two multi-class graph datasets with large node-attribute dimensions constructed to facilitate the research,we propose a novel learning framework that integrates both meta-learning and contrastive learning to enhance the utilization of graph topological *** experiments demonstrate the competitive performance of our framework respective to other state-of-the-art methods.

Lightweight Super-Resolution Model for Complete Model Copyright Protection

Deep learning based techniques are broadly used in various applications, which exhibit superior performance compared to traditional methods. One of the mainstream topics in computer vision is the image super-resolution task. In recent deep learning neural networks, the number of parameters in each convolution layer has increased along with more layers and feature maps, resulting in better image super-resolution performance. In today’s era, numerous service providers offer super-resolution services to users, providing them with remarkable convenience. However, the availability of open-source super-resolution services exposes service providers to the risk of copyright infringement, as the complete model could be vulnerable to leakage. Therefore, safeguarding the copyright of the complete model is a non-trivial concern. To tackle this issue, this paper presents a lightweight model as a substitute for the original complete model in image super-resolution. This research has identified smaller networks that can deliver impressive performance, while protecting the original model’s copyright. Finally, comprehensive experiments are conducted on multiple datasets to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach in generating super-resolution images even using lightweight neural networks.

As big data,Artificial Intelligence,and Vehicle-to-Everything(V2X)communication have advanced,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS)are being developed to enable efficient and safe transportation *** Toll Collection(ETC),which is one of the services included in ITS systems,is an automated system that allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping for manual *** ETC system is widely deployed on highways due to its contribution to stabilizing the overall traffic system *** ensure secure and efficient toll payments,designing a distributed model for sharing toll payment information among untrusted toll service providers is ***,the current ETC system operates under a centralized ***,both toll service providers and toll plazas know the toll usage history of *** raises concerns about revealing the entire driving routes and patterns of *** address these issues,blockchain technology,suitable for secure data management and data sharing in distributed systems,is being applied to the ETC *** enables efficient and transparent management of ETC ***,the public nature of blockchain poses a challenge where users’usage records are exposed to all *** tackle this,we propose a blockchain-based toll ticket model named AnonymousTollPass that considers the privacy of *** proposed model utilizes traceable ring signatures to provide unlinkability between tickets used by a vehicle and prevent the identity of the vehicle using the ticket from being identified among the ring members for the ***,malicious vehicles’identities can be traced when they attempt to reuse *** conducting simulations,we show the effectiveness of the proposed model and demonstrate that gas fees required for executing the proposed smart contracts are only 10%(when the ring size is 50)of the fees required in previous studies.
