The GECAM series of satellites utilizes LaBr_(3)(Ce),LaBr_(3)(Ce,Sr),and NaI(Tl)crystals as sensitive materials for gamma-ray detectors(GRDs).To investigate the nonlinearity in the detection of low-energy gamma rays and address the errors in the calibration of the E-C relationship,comprehensive tests and comparative studies of the three aforementioned crystals were conducted using Compton electrons,radioactive sources,and mono-energetic *** nonlinearity test results of the Compton electrons and X-rays demonstrated substantial differences,with all three crystals presenting a higher nonlinearity for X/-rays than for Compton *** the LaBr_(3)(Ce)and LaBr_(3)(Ce,Sr)crystals having higher absolute light yields,they exhibited a noticeable nonlinear decrease in the light yield,especially at energies below 400 *** NaI(Tl)crystal demonstrated an"excess"light output in the 6-200 keV range,reaching a maximum"excess"of 9.2%at 30 keV in the X-ray testing and up to 15.5%at 14 keV during Compton electron testing,indicating a significant advantage in the detection of low-energy gamma ***,we explored the underlying causes of the observed nonlinearity in these *** study not only elucidates the detector responses of GECAM,but also initiates a comprehensive investigation of the nonlinearity of domestically produced lanthanum bromide and sodium iodide crystals.

Cadmium（Cd） contamination in soil pore water is the primary pathway for Cd uptake by food crops,such as rice（Oryza sativa L.）,posing significant risks to both food safety and human *** study presents a novel soil pore water metal sensor（SPW-Msensor） for in situ and online monitoring of Cd in soil pore water(Cdpw).The SPW-Msensor integrates an automated sampling device,comprising a Rhizon sampler and a reciprocating series pump with an independent dual plunger drive,along with a portable electrochemical sensor consisting of a screen-printed electrode,flow cell,and portable *** SPW-Msensor enables the detection of Cd within a linear range of 50 to 300 ppb while exhibiting high anti-interference ***,it demonstrates excellent repeatability(relative standard deviation values（RSDs）<3.6%) across 30 measurements conducted within a 2-h *** method exhibits good agreement with results obtained using the standard ICP-MS method（RSDs<5%）.Additionally,this study establishes a positive correlation between Cdpwdetected by the SPW-Msensor and total Cd concentration(Cdtotal) in the soil with an R2value equal to *** acquired from the SPW-Msensor can be utilized for predicting Cdtotalthrough partial least squares regression modeling,achieving model quality score（Q2） of 0.69,adjusted R2of 0.9345,and root mean square error（RMSE） of *** SPW-Msensor demonstrates real-time monitoring capabilities for assessing Cd levels in acidified *** SPW-Msensor offers an efficient approach for in-situ and continuous monitoring of Cdpwthat provides valuable insights applicable to environmental and agricultural domains.

The widely used clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated nuclease(Cas)system is thought to have evolved from IS200/IS605 *** proteins,encoded by one type of IS200/IS605 transposon,are considered to be the evolutionary ancestors of Cas12 nucleases,which have been engineered to function as RNA-guided DNA endonucleases for genome editing in bacteria and human *** nucleases,which are smaller than Cas nucleases,have been engineered for use in genome editing in animal systems,but the feasibility of this approach in plants remained ***,we obtained stably transformed genome-edited mutants in rice(Oryza sativa)by adapting three recently identified TnpB genome editing vectors,encoding distinct TnpB nucleases(ISAam1,ISDra2,and ISYmu1),for use in plants,demonstrating that the hypercompact TnpB proteins can effectively edit plant ***2 and ISYmu1 precisely edited their target sequences,with no off-target mutations detected,showing that TnpB transposon nucleases are suitable for development into a new genome editing tool for *** modifications improving the genome-editing efficiency of the TnpB system will facilitate plant functional studies and breeding programs.

The backreaming operation plays a significant role in safe drilling for horizontal wellbores, while it may cause severe stuck pipe accidents. To lower the risk of the stuck pipe in backreaming operations, the mechanism of cuttings transport needs to be carefully investigated. In this research, a transient cuttings transport with multiple flow patterns model is developed to predict the evolution of cuttings transported in the annulus while backreaming. The established model can provide predictions of the distribution of cuttings bed along the wellbore considering the bulldozer effect caused by large-size drilling tools(LSDTs). The sensitivity analyses of the size of LSDTs, and backreaming operating parameters are conducted in Section 4. And a new theory is proposed to explain the mechanism of cuttings transport in the backreaming operation, in which both the bit and LSDTs have the “cleaning effect” and “plugging effect”.The results demonstrate that the cuttings bed in annuli is in a state of dynamic equilibrium, but the overall trend and the distribution pattern are obvious. First, larger diameters and longer drilling tools could lead to a higher risk of the stuck pipe. Second, we find that it is not the case that the higher flow rate is always better for hole cleaning, so three flow-rate intervals are discussed separately under the given conditions. When the “dangerous flow rate”(35 L/s in Case 4),the higher the flow rate, the better the cleaning effect of cuttings beds. Magnetic reconnection of the self-generated magnetic fields in laser-plasma interaction is an important laboratory method for modeling high-energy density astronomical and astrophysical *** use the Martin-Puplett interferometer(MPI)polarimeter to probe the peripheral magnetic fields generated in the common magnetic reconnection configuration,two separated coplanar plane targets,in laser-target *** introduce a new method that can obtain polarization information from the interference pattern instead of the sinusoidal function fitting of the intensity.A bidirectional magnetic field is observed from the side view,which is consistent with the magneto-hydro-dynamical(MHD)simulation results of self-generated magnetic field *** find that the cancellation of reverse magnetic fields after averaging and integration along the observing direction could reduce the magnetic field strength by one to two orders of *** indicates that imaging resolution can significantly affect the accuracy of measured magnetic field strength.

The phase behavior of gas condensate in reservoir formations differs from that in pressure-volume-temperature(PVT)cells because it is influenced by porous media in the reservoir *** was used as a sample to investigate the influence of porous media on the phase behavior of the gas *** pore structure was first analyzed using computed tomography(CT)scanning,digital core technology,and a pore network *** sandstone core sample was then saturated with gas condensate for the pressure depletion *** each pressure-depletion state was stable,realtime CT scanning was performed on the *** scanning results of the sample were reconstructed into three-dimensional grayscale images,and the gas condensate and condensate liquid were segmented based on gray value discrepancy to dynamically characterize the phase behavior of the gas condensate in porous *** network models of the condensate liquid ganglia under different pressures were built to calculate the characteristic parameters,including the average radius,coordination number,and tortuosity,and to analyze the changing mechanism caused by the phase behavior change of the gas *** types of condensate liquid(clustered,branched,membranous,and droplet ganglia)were then classified by shape factor and Euler number to investigate their morphological changes dynamically and *** results show that the dew point pressure of the gas condensate in porous media is 12.7 MPa,which is 0.7 MPa higher than 12.0 MPa in PVT *** average radius,volume,and coordination number of the condensate liquid ganglia increased when the system pressure was between the dew point pressure(12.7 MPa)and the pressure for the maximum liquid dropout,Pmax(10.0 MPa),and decreased when it was below *** volume proportion of clustered ganglia was the highest,followed by branched,membranous,and droplet *** study provides crucial experimental evidence for the phase behavior chan
