The conventional computing architecture faces substantial chal-lenges,including high latency and energy consumption between memory and processing *** response,in-memory computing has emerged as a promising alternative architecture,enabling computing operations within memory arrays to overcome these *** devices have gained significant attention as key components for in-memory computing due to their high-density arrays,rapid response times,and ability to emulate biological *** these devices,two-dimensional(2D)material-based memristor and memtransistor arrays have emerged as particularly promising candidates for next-generation in-memory computing,thanks to their exceptional performance driven by the unique properties of 2D materials,such as layered structures,mechanical flexibility,and the capability to form *** review delves into the state-of-the-art research on 2D material-based memristive arrays,encompassing critical aspects such as material selection,device perfor-mance metrics,array structures,and potential ***,it provides a comprehensive overview of the current challenges and limitations associated with these arrays,along with potential *** primary objective of this review is to serve as a significant milestone in realizing next-generation in-memory computing utilizing 2D materials and bridge the gap from single-device characterization to array-level and system-level implementations of neuromorphic computing,leveraging the potential of 2D material-based memristive devices.

Dear editor,Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is the commonestvasculitis in children, typically affecting children agedthree to ten years.[1] It is a multi-systemic vasculitismediated by type III hypersensitivity with deposition ofimmunoglobulin. An immune complex-mediated vasculitisaffects small vessels of the skin, joints, kidneys, andgastrointestinal (GI) tracts. HSP is usually a self-limitingcondition and resolves within six to eight weeks.[1]

The brain-gut axis serves as the bidirectional connection between the gut microbiome, the intestinal barrier and the immune system that might be relevant for the pathophysiology of inflammatory demyelinating diseases. People with multiple sclerosis have been shown to have an altered microbiome, increased intestinal permeability and changes in bile acid metabolism. Experimental evidence suggests that these changes can lead to profound alterations of peripheral and central nervous system immune regulation. Besides being of pathophysiological interest, the brain-gut axis could also open new avenues of therapeutic targets. Modification of the microbiome, the use of probiotics, fecal microbiota transplantation, supplementation with bile acids and intestinal barrier enhancers are all promising candidates. Hopefully, pre-clinical studies and clinical trials will soon yield significant results.

Inflammation of the nervous system(neuroinflammation)is now recognized as a hallmark of virtually all neurological *** neuroinflammatory conditions such as multiple sclerosis,there is prominent infiltration and a long-lasting representation of various leukocyte subsets in the central nervous system(CNS)*** in classic neurodegenerative disorders,where such immense inflammatory infiltrates are absent,there is still evidence of activated CNS-intrinsic *** consequences of excessive and uncontrolled neuroinflammation are injury and death to neural elements,which manifest as a heterogeneous set of neurological ***,it is now readily acknowledged,due to instructive studies from the peripheral nervous system and a large body of CNS literature,that aspects of the neuroinflammatory response can be beneficial for CNS *** recognized benefits of inflammation to the CNS include the preservation of CNS constituents(neuroprotection),the proliferation and maturation of various neural precursor populations,axonal regeneration,and the reformation of myelin on denuded ***,we highlight the benefits of neuroinflammation in fostering CNS recovery after neural injury using examples from multiple sclerosis,traumatic spinal cord injury,stroke,and Alzheimer’s *** focus on CNS regenerative responses,such as neurogenesis,axonal regeneration,and remyelination,and discuss the mechanisms by which neuroinflammation is pro-regenerative for the ***,we highlight treatment strategies that harness the benefits of neuroinflammation for CNS regenerative responses.

The microstructural evolution of a thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)with low hard segment content has been monitored utilizing in situ real-time synchrotron small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)and time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)*** TPU is composed of 23 wt% of[4,4-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate(MDI)]-[1,4-butanediol(BD)]chain segments,which form hard domains,as[polytetrahydrofuran(PTHF)]forming soft *** number and distribution of monomer units in hard blocks is determined by the successive self-nucleation and annealing thermal fractionation *** situ SAXS method reveals heating-induced increase in the spacing of hard and soft domains,while time-domain ^(1)H-NMR characterizes the changes in the phase composition and chain dynamics in these domains.A glassy fraction of short MDI-BD chain segments in hard domains passes through T_(g) above ambient *** higher temperatures,MDI-BD nanocrystals start to *** length distribution of MDI-BD chain segments causes a distribution in crystal sizes and wide melting temperature *** melting is accompanied by the mixing of MDI-BD with PTHF segments in soft domains,and by increase in segmental mobility in these *** 180℃,the TPU melt is homogeneous on the scale above nanometers according to SAXS data.

Tailored synthesis of well-defined anatase TiO_(2)-based crystals with exposed{001}facets has stimulated incessant research interest worldwide due to their scientific and technological ***,anatase nitrogen-doped TiO_(2)(N-TiO_(2))nanoparticles with exposed{001}facets deposited on the graphene(GR)sheets(N-TiO_(2)-001/GR)were synthesized for the first time via a one-step solvothermal synthetic route using NH4F as the morphology-controlling *** experimental results exemplified that GR was uniformly covered with anatase N-TiO_(2) nanoparticles(10-17 nm),exposing the{001}*** percentage of exposed{001}facets in the N-TiO_(2)-001/GR nanocomposites was calculated to be ca.35%.Also,a red shift in the absorption edge and a strong absorption in the visible light range were observed due to the formation of Ti-O-C bonds,resulting in the successful narrowing of the band gap from 3.23 to 2.9 *** photocatalytic activities of the as-prepared photocatalysts were evaluated for CO_(2) reduction to produce CH,in the presence of water vapor under ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure using a low-power 15 W energy-saving daylight lamp as the visible light source--in contrast to the most commonly employed high-power xenon lamps--which rendered the process economically and practically *** all the studied photocatalysts,the N-TiO_(2)-001/GR nanocomposites exhibited the greatest CH4 yield of 3.70 p-mol'gcatalyst 1,approxi-mately 11-fold higher activity than the TiO_(2)-*** enhancement of photocatalyfic performance was ascribed to the effective charge anti-recombination of graphene,high absorption of visible light region relative to the{101}*** high catalytic activity of{001}facets.

Creating and manipulating multiple charge states of solitary defects in semiconductors is of essential importance for solitary defect electronics,but is fundamentally limited by Coulomb’s *** this objective is challenging,due to the conflicting requirements of the localization necessary for the sizable band gap and delocalization necessary for a low charging ***,using scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy experiments and first-principles calculations,we realized exotic quinary charge states of solitary defects in two-dimensional intermetallic semiconductor *** also observed an ultralow defect charging energy that increases sublinearly with charge number rather than displaying the usual quadratic *** work suggests a promising route for constructing multiple defect-charge states by designing intermetallic semiconductors,and opens new opportunities for developing quantum devices with charge-based quantum states.
