Treatment of primary tracheal schwannoma with endoscopic resection:A case report

BACKGROUND Schwannoma is a benign tumor originating from the peripheral nerve *** clinical symptoms of tracheal schwannoma depend on the location of the tumor,and the most common clinical symptoms are cough and *** most effective treatment for benign tumors is complete resection of the primary lesion at an early *** experience has demonstrated that primary tracheal schwannoma can be safely excised with a high-frequency electric knife in a minimally invasive *** SUMMARY We report a 61-year-old asymptomatic woman who underwent chest computed tomography(CT),which accidentally found an intraluminal tracheal mass without enlarged lymph ***,the patient underwent bronchoscopy,which found that the tracheal mass originated from the left wall of the upper trachea,was less than 1.5 cm in size,immovable,smooth and 4 cm away from the vocal cord,resulting in partial upper respiratory tract *** was performed using an endoscopic resection for en bloc removal of the tracheal *** diagnosis was primary tracheal schwannoma.A follow-up was performed after endoscopic surgery,and bronchoscopy and thoracic CT were used to monitor whether there was a *** present,there is no evidence of recurrence,and the patient had a good quality of *** resection may be effective and safe in the treatment of primary tracheal *** Primary tracheal schwannoma is a very rare benign *** this case,we cured it by complete endoscopic resection.

Overexpression of low-density lipoprotein receptor prevents neurotoxic polarization of astrocytes via inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation in experimental ischemic stroke

Neurotoxic astrocytes are a promising therapeutic target for the attenuation of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion ***-density lipoprotein receptor,a classic cholesterol regulatory receptor,has been found to inhibit NLR family pyrin domain containing protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome activation in neurons following ischemic stroke and to suppress the activation of microglia and astrocytes in individuals with Alzheimer’s ***,little is known about the effects of low-density lipoprotein receptor on astrocytic activation in ischemic *** address this issue in the present study,we examined the mechanisms by which low-density lipoprotein receptor regulates astrocytic polarization in ischemic stroke ***,we examined low-density lipoprotein receptor expression in astrocytes via immunofluorescence staining and western blotting *** observed significant downregulation of low-density lipoprotein receptor following middle cerebral artery occlusion reperfusion and oxygen-glucose deprivation/***,we induced the astrocyte-specific overexpression of low-density lipoprotein receptor using astrocyte-specific adeno-associated ***-density lipoprotein receptor overexpression in astrocytes improved neurological outcomes in middle cerebral artery occlusion mice and reversed neurotoxic astrocytes to create a neuroprotective ***,we found that the overexpression of low-density lipoprotein receptor inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome activation in oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation injured astrocytes and that the addition of nigericin,an NLRP3 agonist,restored the neurotoxic astrocyte *** findings suggest that low-density lipoprotein receptor could inhibit the NLRP3-meidiated neurotoxic polarization of astrocytes and that increasing low-density lipoprotein receptor in astrocytes might represent a novel strategy for treating cerebral ischemic stroke.

Merging bound states in the continuum in an open acoustic resonator

Bound states in the continuum （BICs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIC is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BICs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIC and Friedrich-Wintgen BIC are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BICs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIC,the merged BIC is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BICs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of Fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

Experimental optimization and mathematical modeling of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of essential oil from Pogostemon cablin

The supercritical carbon dioxide extraction was applied to obtain essential oil from Pogostemon cablin in this *** of extraction parameters including temperature,pressure,extraction time and particle size on extraction yield was investigated,and the response surface methodology with a Box–Behnken Design was used to achieve the optimized extraction *** maximum yield of essential oil was 2.4356%under the conditions of extraction temperature 47°C,pressure 24.5 MPa and extraction time 119 ***,based on the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller theory of adsorption,a mathematical modeling was performed to correlate the measured *** model shows a function relationship between extraction yield and time by a simple equation with three significantly adjustable *** model parameters have been optimized through simulated annealing *** predicted data from the mathematical model show a good agreement with the experimental data of the different extraction parameters.

A Newly Developed Wrought Ni–Fe–Cr-based Superalloy for Advanced Ultra-Supercritical Power Plant Applications Beyond 700℃

Some existing wrought Ni-Cr-Co-based superalloys are being evaluated as the candidate materials for advanced ultra-supercritical power plant applications beyond 700 ℃ due to their high creep strength. But they are all prohibitively expensive due to the addition of Co, Mo and W. Here we developed a new Ni-Fe-Cr-based superalloy （named as HT700 alloy） with low cost and high strength. This paper reports the mechanical properties and fracture modes of HT700 alloy to support its high temperature applications and to understand prospective failure mechanism. Fracto- graphic examinations indicate that the fracture modes shift with test condition change. In addition, the HT700 alloy has relatively stable microstructure at 750 ℃. Compared with IN740 and GH2984 alloys, this new alloy has higher yield strength in the temperature range from room temperature to 800 ℃. The creep life of this new alloy is much longer than that of the Ni-Fe-based superaUoy GH2984. The results suggest that this new alloy is a promising material for advanced ultra-supercritical power plant applications beyond 700 ℃.

With the aging of the population intensified,neurodegenerative diseases have become a major problem that plagues modern people. In the organism,the pathological process common to these diseases is the damage and death of neurons in the central nervous system. Therefore,neurons the protection is the key issuesof neurological disease prevention and treatment. Polysaccharide is one of the important active substances in life activities,and has many biological activities. Polysaccharides are one of the most important active substances in life activities. They have many biological activities,such as energy storage,structural support,defense and antigen characterization. In addition,it is characterized by small toxicity,high safety and versatility. Polysaccharides also have other biological activities,such as anti-tumor,hypoglycemic,immune regulation,anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidation,neuroprotection and so on. As the active polysaccharide safe,non-toxic,in medicine,agriculture,food and other industries have a broad development and application value and prospects,having become a hot topic in many disciplines at home and abroad. More and more research evidence shows that polysaccharides in the neuroprotective aspects of the study more and more comprehensive and *** this paper,we reviewed the role of polysaccharides in neuroprotective mechanisms,including antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,promoting proliferation of neural cells,promoting neuronal differentiation,and inhibiting apoptosis of neurons.

Integrated parallel forecasting model based on modified fuzzy time series and SVM

A dynamic parallel forecasting model is proposed, which is based on the problem of current forecasting models and their combined model. According to the process of the model, the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is improved in outliers operation and distance in the clusters and among the clusters. Firstly, the input data sets are optimized and their coherence is ensured, the region scale algorithm is modified and non-isometric multi scale region fuzzy time series model is built. At the same time, the particle swarm optimization algorithm about the particle speed, location and inertia weight value is improved, this method is used to optimize the parameters of support vector machine, construct the combined forecast model, build the dynamic parallel forecast model, and calculate the dynamic weight values and regard the product of the weight value and forecast value to be the final forecast values. At last, the example shows the improved forecast model is effective and accurate.

Vector meson effects on multi-Skyrmion states from the rational map ansatz

The roles of the lightest vector mesons ρ and ω in the multi-Skyrmion states are studied using the hidden local symmetry approach up to the next-to-leading order,including the homogeneous Wess-Zumino *** low-energy constants in the effective field theory are determined using the Sakai-Sugimoto model and the flat-space five-dimensional Yang-Mills *** only two inputs,m_(ρ) and f_(π),it is possible to determine all low-energy constants without *** vector meson effects can be investigated by sequentially integrating vector mesons,and their geometry can be elucidated by comparing the results using the low-energy constants estimated from the Sakai-Sugimoto model and the flat-space five-dimensional Yang-Mills *** found that theρmeson reduces the masses of the multi-Skyrmion states and increases the overlaps of their constituents,whereas theωmeson repulses the constituents of the multi-Skyrmion states and increases their ***,these vector mesons are crucial in the Skyrme model approach to *** also found that the warping factor,an essential element in the holographic model of QCD,affects the properties of the multi-Skyrmion states and cannot be ignored.

Transient Characteristics and Accommodative Current Limiting Strategy for Bidirectional Interlinking Converters in Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

Bidirectional interlinking converter(BIC)is the core equipment in a hybrid AC/DC microgrid connected between AC and DC ***,the variety of control modes and flexible bidirectional power flow complicate the influence of AC faults on BIC itself and on DC sub-grid,which potentially threaten both converter safety and system *** study first investigates AC fault influence on the BIC and DC bus voltage under different BIC control modes and different pre-fault operation states,by developing a mathematical model and equivalent sequence ***,based on the analysis results,a general accommodative current limiting strategy is proposed for BIC without limitations to specific mode or operation *** amplitude is predicted and constrained according to the critical requirements to protect the BIC and relieving the AC fault influence on the DC bus *** with conventional methods,potential current limit failure and distortions under asymmetric faults can also be ***,experiments verify feasibility of the proposed method.
