Fusobacterium nucleatum promotes colon cancer progression by changing the mucosal microbiota and colon transcriptome in a mouse model

BACKGROUND Fusobacterium nucleatum(***)has long been known to cause opportunistic infections and has recently been implicated in colorectal cancer(CRC),which has attracted broad ***,the mechanism by which it is involved in CRC development is not fully *** To explore its potential causative role in CRC development,we evaluated the colon pathology,mucosa barrier,colon microbiota and host transcriptome profile after *** infection in an azoxymethane/dextran sulfate sodium salt(AOM/DSS)mouse *** Three groups of mice were compared to reveal the differences,i.e.,the control,AOM/DSS-induced CRC and AOM/DSS-FUSO infection *** Both the AOM/DSS and AOM/DSS-FUSO groups exhibited a significantly reduced body weight and increased tumor numbers than the control group,and AOM/DSS mice with *** infection showed the highest tumor formation ratio among the three ***,the colon pathology was the most serious in the AOM/DSS-FUSO *** found that the structure of the colon microbiota changed considerably after *** infection;striking differences in mucosal microbial population patterns were observed between the AOM/DSS-FUSO and AOM/DSS groups,and inflammation-inducing bacteria were enriched in the mucosal microbiota in the AOM/DSS-FUSO *** comparing intestinal transcriptomics data from AOM vs AOM/DSSFUSO mice,we showed that transcriptional activity was strongly affected by dysbiosis of the gut *** most microbiota-sensitive genes were oncogenes in the intestine,and the cyclic adenosine monophosphate signaling pathway,neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction,PPAR signaling pathway,retinol metabolism,mineral absorption and drug metabolism were highly enriched in the AOM/DSS-FUSO ***,we showed that microbial dysbiosis driven by *** infection enriched eight taxa belonging to Proteobacteria,which correlates with increased expression of oncogenic *** Our

Forecasting step-like landslide displacement through diverse monitoring frequencies

The precision of landslide displacement prediction is crucial for effective landslide prevention and mitigation ***,the role of surface monitoring frequency in influencing prediction accuracy has been largely *** study examined the effect of varying monitoring frequencies on the accuracy of displacement predictions by using the Baijiabao landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area(TGRA)as a case *** collected surface automatic monitoring data at different intervals,ranging from daily to *** Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition(EEMD)algorithm was utilized to dissect the accumulated displacements into periodic and trend components at each monitoring *** fitting was applied to forecast the trend component while the periodic component was predicted with two state-of-the-art neural network models:Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU).The predictions from these models were integrated to derive cumulative displacement forecasts,enabling a comparative analysis of prediction accuracy across different monitoring *** results demonstrate that the proposed models achieve high accuracy in landslide displacement forecasting,with optimal performance observed at moderate monitoring ***,the daily mean average error(MAE)decreases sharply with increasing monitoring frequency,reaching a *** findings were corroborated by a parallel analysis of the Bazimen landslide,suggesting that moderate monitoring intervals of approximately 7 to 15 days are most conducive to achieving enhanced prediction accuracy compared to both daily and monthly intervals.

A dynamical approach to generalized Weil's Riemann hypothesis and semisimplicity In memory of Professor Gang Xiao

Let f be a dynamical correspondence of a smooth projective variety X over an algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic. In 2016, Truong conjectured that the dynamical degrees of f defined via the pullback actions on-adic étale cohomology groups and on numerical cycle class groups are equivalent, which we call the dynamical degree comparison(DDC) conjecture. It contains the generalized Weil's Riemann hypothesis(for polarized endomorphisms) as a particular case. In this paper, we introduce a quantitative strengthening of the standard conjecture C, named as Conjecture Gr, and show that it holds on abelian varieties and Kummer surfaces. We prove that Conjecture Gryields the generalized Weil's Riemann hypothesis. Moreover,Conjecture Grplus the standard conjecture D imply the norm comparison conjecture, whose consequences include the DDC conjecture and the generalized semisimplicity conjecture. As applications, we prove the DDC conjecture for algebraically stable dynamical correspondences of abelian varieties and Kummer surfaces,extending hu's previous work(2019, 2024) on endomorphisms of abelian varieties. We also obtain a similar comparison result for effective finite correspondences of abelian varieties and prove the generalized semisimplicity conjecture for Kummer surfaces.

Forming limit and failure behavior of fiber metal laminates under low-constraint conditions

Fiber Metal Laminates(FMLs),as high-performance composite materials,demonstrate exceptional potential in a wide range of applications,such as aeronautical and astronautical ***,the traditional cured FMLs possess complex interlayer stresses and low forming limits,restricting further promotion and application of ***-constraint FMLs exhibit a lower forming resistance and better formability due to no curing during the forming process;however,the formation mechanism and response are not *** paper presents the Forming Limit Diagram(FLD)of low-constraint GLARE(glass fiber reinforced aluminum laminates)based on the forming limit test,and compares it with the conventionally cured laminates to evaluate the differences in the forming *** addition,combined with the analysis of failure mechanism and micro-deformation mechanism of specimens,the influence of different temperatures(20–80℃)and forming states(width)on the deformation performance of laminates is further *** results reveal that the forming limit curve of low-constraint laminates shifts up with the increase of temperature,the forming limit initially increases with the increase of width,then followed by a gradual decrease,and the maximum principal strain of low-constraint laminates is increased by 29% at 80℃ compared to 20℃.The cured laminate has a principal strain range of 0–0.02,while the low-constraint laminates have a principal strain range of 0.03–*** with cured laminates,low-constraint laminates possess a higher forming limit due to the improvement in deformable degree between layers by resin flow and fiber slippage,which enhances their *** study is expected to serve as a reference for establishing forming limit criteria and optimizing forming schemes for low-constraint laminates.

Hydrogen is a renewable and clean energy,and photocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen evolution technology is a promising technical means to solve the development *** this study,the ternary composite Co_(8)POM@MXene–CdS hybrid catalyst was constructed and used for photocatalytic hydrogen *** the condition of AM 1.5G simulated sunlight,the photocatalytic H_(2) evolution rate of the ternary composite was 8.13 mmol g^(−1) h^(−1),which was more than 25 times higher than that of the bare *** means of synchronous illumination X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(SI-XPS)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,it was proved that the loading of MXene and Co_(8)POM improved the photogenerated carrier separation and immigration efficiency on *** photogenerated electrons transfer from CdS to ***_(8)POM containing the{Co_(4)O_(3)}quasi-cubane,as an oxidation co-catalyst,accepts photogenerated holes from CdS to catalyze the oxidation reaction of TEOA,which improves the photocatalytic hydrogen production activity and the stability of CdS.

Fluorinated gases(F-gases)play a vital role in the chemical industry and in the fields of air conditioning,refrigeration,health care,and organic ***,the direct emission of waste gases containing F-gases into the atmosphere contributes to greenhouse effects and generates toxic *** porous materials for the energy-efficient capture,separation,and recovery of F-gases is highly ***,as a highly designable porous adsorbents,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)exhibit excellent selective sorption performance toward F-gases,especially for the recognition and separation of different F-gases with highly similar properties,showing their great potential in F-gases control and *** this review,we discuss the capture and separation of F-gases and their azeotropic,near-azeotropic,and isomeric mixtures in various application scenarios by MOFs,specifically classify and analyze molecular interaction between F-gases and MOFs,and interpret the mechanisms underlying their high performance regarding both adsorption capacity and selectivity,providing a repertoire for future materials *** faced in the transformation research roadmap of MOFs adsorbent separation technologies toward F-gases are also discussed,and areas for future research endeavors are highlighted.

Lithium metal is one of the most promising anodes for lithium batteries because of their high theoretical specific capacity and the low electrochemical potential. However, the commercialization of lithium metal anodes(LMAs) is facing significant obstacles, such as uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth and unstable solid electrolyte interface, leading to inferior Coulombic efficiency, unsatisfactory cycling stability and even serious safety issues. Introducing low-cost natural clay-based materials(NCBMs) in LMAs is deemed as one of the most effective methods to solve aforementioned issues. These NCBMs have received considerable attention for stabilizing LMAs due to their unique structure, large specific surface areas, abundant surface groups, high mechanical strength, excellent thermal stability, and environmental friendliness. Considering the rapidly growing research enthusiasm for this topic in the last several years, here, we review the recent progress on the application of NCBMs in stable and dendrite-free *** different structures and modification methods of natural clays are first summarized. In addition, the relationship between their modification methods and nano/microstructures, as well as their impact on the electrochemical properties of LMAs are systematically discussed. Finally, the current challenges and opportunities for application of NCBMs in stable LMAs are also proposed to facilitate their further development.
