Carbon materials have been used as the support for catalysts in the field of acetylene hydrochlorination,the influence of inevitable oxygen-containing moieties on the reaction is often ignored and the mechanism of the oxygen-doping structure remains ***,we explored the effect of the oxygen-containing group(C-O-C)in the support on the activity of single-atom dispersed Cu *** immersing the Cu single-atom catalyst in an alkaline solution,the epoxy species on the carbon support was cleaved to obtain a pure ether species while the Cu site was modified to a more electron-deficient *** turnover frequency value of Cu/O-FLP catalyst with epoxy groups was 1.6-fold higher than that of alkaline treated *** result indicated that the epoxy groups could assist adjacent single-atom Cu sites to synergistically promote the adsorption and cleavage of the reactant hydrogen chloride toward form C-OH and Cu-Cl bonds,and reduce the reaction energy *** presence of electron deficient Cu sites and ether species could induce competitive adsorption of the acetylene and hydrogen chloride,thereby reducing the activity of the *** study highlights the influence of surface oxygen species and the tunability of the support,providing the foundation for the fabrication of higher-activity Cu catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination.

The oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalysts,which can keep active for a long time in acidic media,are of great significance to proton exchange membrane water ***,Ru-Co_(3)O_(4)electrocatalysts with transition metal oxide Co_(3)O_(4)as matrix and the noble metal Ru as doping element have been prepared through an ion exchange–pyrolysis process mediated by metal-organic framework,in which Ru atoms occupy the octahedral sites of Co_(3)O_(4).Experimental and theoretical studies show that introduced Ru atoms have a passivation effect on lattice *** strong coupling between Ru and O causes a negative shift in the energy position of the O p-band ***,the bonding activity of oxygen in the adsorbed state to the lattice oxygen is greatly passivated during the OER process,thus improving the stability of matrix *** addition,benefiting from the modulating effect of the introduced Ru atoms on the metal active sites,the thermodynamic and kinetic barriers have been significantly reduced,which greatly enhances both the catalytic stability and reaction efficiency of Co_(3)O_(4).

While lithium resources are scarce for high energy-dense lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), sodium-ion batteries (SIBs), serving as an alternative, inherently suffer from low capacity and the high-cost use of non-graphite anodes. Combining Li- and Na-ions within a single battery system is expected to mitigate the shortcomings of both systems while leveraging their respective advantages. In this study, we developed and assembled a nanodiamonds (NDs)-assisted co-Li/Na-ion battery (ND-LSIB). This innovative battery system comprised a commercial graphite anode, an ND-modified polypropylene (DPP) separator, a hybrid lithium/sodium-based electrolyte, and a cathode. It is theoretically and experimentally demonstrated that the ND/Li co-insertion can serve as an ion-drill opening graphite layers and reconstructing graphite anodes into few-layered graphene with expanding interlayer space, achieving highly efficient Li/Na storage and the theoretical maximum of LiC6 for Li storage in graphite. In addition, ND is helpful for creating a LiF-/NaF-rich hybrid solid electrolyte interface with improved ionic mobility, mechanical strength, and reversibility. Consequently, ND-LSIBs have higher specific capacities similar to 1.4 times the theoretical value of LIBs and show long-term cycling stability. This study proposes and realizes the concept of Li/Na co-storage in one ion battery with compatible high-performance, cost-effectiveness, and industrial prospects.

Fragrant rice has a high market value,and it is a popular rice type among consumers owing to its pleasant *** methods,nitrogen(N)fertilizers,and silicon(Si)fertilizers can affect the grain yield and fragrance of fragrant ***,the core commercial rice production attributes,namely the head rice yield(HRY)and 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline(2-AP)content of fragrant rice,under various nitrogen and silicon(N-Si)fertilization levels and different plantation methods remain *** field experiment in this study was performed in the early seasons of 2018 and 2019 with two popular indica fragrant rice cultivars(Yuxiangyouzhan and Xiangyaxiangzhan).They were grown under six N-Si fertilization treatments(combinations of two levels of Si fertilizer,0 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si0)and 150 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si1),and three levels of N fertilizer,0 kg N ha^(−1)(N0),150 kg N ha^(−1)(N1),and 220 kg N ha^(−1)(N2))and three plantation methods(artificial transplanting(AT),mechanical transplanting(MT),and mechanical direct-seeding(MD)).The results showed that the N-Si fertilization treatments and all the plantation methods significantly affected the HRY and 2-AP content and related parameters of the two different fragrant rice *** with the Si0N0 treatment,the N-Si fertilization treatments resulted in higher HRY and 2-AP *** rates of brown rice,milled rice,head rice,and chalky rice of the fragrant rice also improved with the N-Si fertilization *** N-Si fertilization treatments increased the activities of N metabolism enzymes and the accumulation of N and Si in various parts of the fragrant rice,and affected their antioxidant response *** key parameters for the HRY and 2-AP content were assessed by redundancy ***,the structural equation model revealed that the Si and N accumulation levels indirectly affected the HRY by affecting the N metabolism enzyme activity,N use efficiency,and grain quality of fragrant ***,high N

Rational design of efficient and robust earth-abundant alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts is a key factor for developing energy conversion ***,antiperovskite nitride CuNMn_(3)has garnered significant interest due to its remarkable properties such as negative/zero thermal expansion and magnetocaloric ***,when utilized as hydrogen evolution catalysts,it encounters large challenge resulting from excessively strong/weak interactions with adsorbed H on Mn/Cu active sites,which leads to low HER *** this study,we introduce an asymmetric orbital hybridization strategy in Zn-doped Cu_(1-x)Zn_(x)NMn_(3)by leveraging the localization of Zn electronic states to reconfigure the electronic structures of Cu and Mn,thereby reducing the energy barrier for water dissociation and optimizing Cu and Mn active sites for hydrogen adsorption and H_(2)*** evaluations reveal that Cu_(0.85)Zn_(0.15)NMn_(3)with x=0.15 demonstrates exceptional electrocatalytic activity in alkaline electrolytes.A low overpotential of 52 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and outstanding stability over a 150-h test period are achieved,surpassing commercial Pt/*** research offers a novel strategy for enhancing HER performance by modulating asymmetric hybridization of electron orbitals between multiple metal atoms within a material structure.
