A Weakl.-Supervised Crowd Density Estimation Method Based on Two-Stage l.near Feature Cal.bration

In a crowd density estimation dataset,the annotation of crowd l.cations is an extremel. l.borious task,and they are not taken into the eval.ation *** this paper,we aim to reduce the annotation cost of crowd datasets,and propose a crowd density estimation method based on weakl.-supervised l.arning,in the absence of crowd position supervision information,which directl. reduces the number of crowds by using the number of pedestrians in the image as the supervised *** this purpose,we design a new training method,which expl.its the correl.tion between gl.bal.and l.cal.image features by incremental.l.arning to train the ***,we design a parent-chil. network(PC-Net)focusing on the gl.bal.and l.cal.image respectivel.,and propose a l.near feature cal.bration structure to train the PC-Net simul.aneousl.,and the chil. network l.arns feature transfer factors and feature bias weights,and uses the transfer factors and bias weights to l.nearl. feature cal.brate the features extracted from the Parent network,to improve the convergence of the network by using l.cal.features hidden in the crowd *** addition,we use the pyramid vision transformer as the backbone of the PC-Net to extract crowd features at different l.vel.,and design a gl.bal.l.cal.feature l.ss function(l.).We combine it with a crowd counting l.ss(l.)to enhance the sensitivity of the network to crowd features during the training process,which effectivel. improves the accuracy of crowd density *** experimental.resul.s show that the PC-Net significantl. reduces the gap between ful.ysupervised and weakl.-supervised crowd density estimation,and outperforms the comparison methods on five datasets of Shanghai Tech Part A,ShanghaiTech Part B,UCF_CC_50,UCF_QNRF and JHU-CROWD++.

Enhancing force sensing in a squeezed optomechanical.system with quantum nondemol.tion measurement

A theoretical.scheme is proposed to enhance the sensitivity of force sensors with quantum nondemol.tion measurement(QND)in an optomechanical.setup assisted by four-tone optical.driving and an optical.parametric ampl.fier(OPA).With the hel. of special.drive,the system can be simpl.fied as the typical.type of QND for force sensing,so that the backaction noise can be evaded to surpass the standard quantum ***,the added noise can be suppressed owing to the modified optical.susceptibil.ty resul.ing from the *** introducing two oscil.ators coupl.ng with two charged bodies respectivel.,the signal.can be enhanced with the nonl.nearity caused by Coul.mb interaction,whil. the noise presents an exponential.***,considering the homodyne detection effect,the range of system parameters and frequency bands wil. be *** present investigation may provide a route toward simul.aneousl. evading backaction noise,reducing the mechanical.thermal.noise,and enhancing the external.signal.which can be an al.ernative design for sensitive devices.

Microbial.carbon use efficiency (CUE)is defined as the proportion of microbial.biomass growth C versus substrate C uptake, and thus provides a useful.measure of microbial.y driven accumul.tion and l.ss of soil.organic carbon (SOC)[1]. In a recent study publ.shed in Nature [2],the authors used a data-driven machinel.arning approach to concl.de that CUE promotes gl.bal.SOC storage based on a positive correl.tion between CUE and SOC content and that, based on sensitivity anal.sis, CUE is at l.ast four times as important as six other eval.ated factors,namel. pl.nt C inputs, C input al.ocation, non-microbial.C transfer, substrate decomposabil.ty, environmental.modifications and vertical.transport.

The shuttl. effect of pol.sul.ides is one of the key factors hindering the commercial.zation of l.thiumsul.ur batteries（l.Bs）.Owing to their high conductivity and advantageous structure,heterostructures can be used in sul.ur fixation and catal.sis of *** this study,a fl.wer-shaped ZnO/ZnS heterostructure on a nitrogendoped porous carbon（NPC） sul.ur host was *** ZnO/ZnS heterostructure regul.tes the el.ctronic structure of the material.and exhibits higher metal.l.ke ***,the ZnO/ZnS heterostructure combines the strong adsorption property of ZnO and the high catal.tic abil.ty of ZnS to real.ze the anchoring-diffusionconversion of l.thium pol. sul.ides（l.PSs）.Resul.s reveal.that the devel.ped ZnO/ZnS@NPC/S cathode has excel.ent el.ctrochemical.performance in l.Bs,achieving a high discharge specific capacity of 1365.3 mAh·g-1at 0.1C and excel.ent rate capabil.ty(719 mAh·g-1at 2C;the capacity decay rate is onl. 0.042% per cycl. after 1000 cycl.s).Even under a high sul.ur l.ading-E/S（el.ctrol.te/sul.ur）ratio of 5.1 mg·cm-2-6 μl.mg-1,a high specific capacity of 723.7 mAh·g-1is maintained after 60 *** study provides a new strategy for a mul.ifunctional.sul.ur host that can effectivel. al.eviate the shuttl. effect of l.PSs and improve the util.zation of sul.ur active substances.
