Solar cycles are fundamental to astrophysics,space exploration,technological infrastructure,and Earth's climate.A better understanding of these cycles and their history can aid in risk mitigation on Earth,while also deepening our knowledge of stellar physics and solar system *** the solar cycles between 1600 and 1700-especially the post-1645 Maunder Minimum,characterized by significantly reduced solar activity-poses challenges to existing solar activity *** study utilizes a new red equatorial auroral catalog from ancient Korean texts to establish solar cycle patterns from 1623 to ***,a further reevaluation of the solar cycles between 1610 and 1755 identified a total of 13 cycles,diverging from the widely accepted record of 12 cycles during tha. *** research enha.ces our understanding of historical solar activity,and underscores the importance of integrating diverse historical sources into modern analyses.

The study of the hydrodynamic limit of the Boltzmann equation with physical boundary is a challenging problem due to the appearance of the viscous and Knudsen boundary *** this paper,the hydrodynamic limit from the Boltzmann equation with the specular reflection boundary condition to the incompressible Euler equations in a channel is *** on the multi-scaled Hilbert expansion,the equations with boundary conditions and compatibility conditions for interior solutions,and viscous and Knudsen boundary layers are derived under different scaling,***,some uniform estimates for the interior solutions,and viscous and Knudsen boundary layers are *** the help of the L2-L∞framework and the uniform estimates obtained above,the solutions to the Boltzmann equation are constructed by the truncated Hilbert expansion with multiscales,and hence the hydrodynamic limit in the incompressible Euler level is justified.

The resolution of most spatially resolved transcriptomic technologies usually cannot attain the single-cell level, limiting their applications in biological discoveries. Here, we introduce ImSpiRE, an image feature-aided spatial resolution enha.cement method for in situ capturing spatial transcriptome. Taking the information stored in histological images, ImSpiRE solves an optimal transport problem to redistribute the expression profiles of spots to construct new transcriptional profiles with enha.ced resolution, together with extending the gene expression profiles into unmeasured regions. Applications to multiple datasets confirm tha. ImSpiRE can enha.ce spatial resolution to the subspot level while contributing to the discovery of tissue domains, signaling communication patterns, and spatiotemporal characterization.

Under the assumption of integral m-Bakry-émery Ricci curvature, we give an Escobar-LichnerowiczReilly type eigenvalue estimate for the weighted p-Laplacian on compact smooth metric measure spaces with or without boundaries. This conclusion is a generalization and improvement of Wang-Li’s result in the case of integral Bakry-émery Ricci curvature, and of Seto-Wei’s one to the compact metric measure space setting. Our main tools are the weighted p-Bochner formula and the weighted p-Reilly formula.

Currently,the Al_(2)O_(3)content in the high-alumina slag systems within blast furnaces is generally limited to 16wt%–18.5wt%,making it challenging to overcome this *** most studies tha. concentrated on managing the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3)ratio or basicity,this paper explored the effect of equimolar substitution of MgO for CaO on the viscosity and structure of a high-alumina CaO-MgO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)slag system,providing theoretical guidance and data to facilitate the application of high-alumina *** results revealed tha. the viscosity first decreased and then increased with higher MgO substitution,reaching a minimum at 15mol%MgO *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)results found tha. the depths of the troughs representing[SiO_(4)]tetrahedra,[AlO_(4)]tetrahedra,and Si-O-Al bending became progressively deeper with increased MgO *** of the Raman spectra showed tha. the average number of bridging oxygens per Si atom and the X_(Q^(3))/X_(Q^(2))(X_(Q^(i))is the molar fraction of Q^(i) unit,and i is the number of bridging oxygens in a[SiO_(4)]tetrahedral unit)ratio increased from 2.30 and 1.02 to 2.52 and 2.14,respectively,indicating a progressive polymerization of the silicate structure.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results highlighted tha. non-bridging oxygen content decreased from 77.97mol% to 63.41mol% with increasing MgO concentration,whereas bridging oxygen and free oxygen contents *** analysis demonstrated a gradual increase in the polymerization degree of the tetrahedral structure with the increase in MgO ***,bond strength is another important factor affecting the slag *** occurrence of a viscosity minimum can be attributed to the complex evolution of bond strengths of non-bridging oxygens generated during depolymerization of the[SiO_(4)]and[AlO_(4)]tetrahedral structures by CaO and MgO.

Furfural is one of the most important biomass-based platform molecules as sustainable precursors for chemicals and fuels. The electrochemical hydrodimerization of furfural can generate hydrofuroin, which is a promising precursor for gasoline or jet ***, steering the selectivity toward hydrodimerization under near-neutral conditions tha. suppress polymerization and disproportionation of furfural remains challenging. Herein, we discovered tha. tuning the electrolyte cations could be an effective and alternative strategy for modulating furfural reduction to the traditional electrocatalyst design. Under the optimal Ca2+cations,hydrofuroin yield could be much improved from other cations with hydrofuroin selectivity of 95.5%. The systematic characterization of the ion-centered double layer reflected the suitable sizes and cha.ges of hydrated Ca2+for suppressing the hydrogen evolution reaction from activation of surrounding water molecules as well as encouraging furfural accumulation via non-covalent interaction for directing the electron transfer to furfurals. Ions with smaller or larger sizes can either activate local water molecules or form a crowded ionic interface tha. casts an adverse effect on furfural enrichment. This work not only presents an effective strategy for facilitating biomass valorization via hydrodimerization but also empha.izes the essential role of the ion-centered microenvironment for steering the electrocatalytic pathways.
