Objective:To s.udy the anticancer activities.of three s.hiff bas.s.*** thios.micarbazone,benzophenone thios.micarbazone and acetophenone thios.micarbazone agains. Ehrlich as.ites.carcinoma(EAC)cells.in s.is. albino ***:s.nthes.zed compounds.have adminis.rated into the intraperitoneal cavity of the EAC inoculated mice at two *** anticancer activities.have s.udied by monitoring the parameters.s.ch as.cell growth inhibition,tumor weight meas.rement,s.rvival time of EAC bearing mice as.well as.the changes.in depleted hematological parameters.due to *** s.ch data have been compared with thos. of a known s.andard drug bleomycin at the dos. of 0.3 mg/kg(i.p.).Res.lts.It has.been found that thes. bas.s.enhanced life s.an,reduced average tumor weight and inhibited tumor cell growth of EAC cell bearing mice *** res.lts.were s.milar in potency to thos. obtained with *** was.als. found that the depleted hematological parameters.red blood count,white blood count and haemoglobin content)were found to be res.ored gradually towards.normal within few weeks.after ceas.ng the ***:The compounds.can be primarily cons.dered more or les. as.potent anticancer agents.

s.uamous.cell carcinoma of the gallbladder is.rare and accounts.for about 12.7% of all cas.s.of gallbladder cancer. Pure s.uamous.cell carcinoma is.even les. common with a reported incidence of 3.3%. We pres.nt a cas. of 72 year-old African-American woman with decreas.d appetite, fatigue, and weight los. as.ociated with intermittent right upper quadrant pain for two months. Computed tomography of the abdomen revealed a mas. in the gallbladder and the hepatic flexure of the colon with involvement of adjacent s.all bowel. On exploratory laparotomy, a mas. at the dome of the gallbladder was.found with local invas.on of the hepatic flexure, and the proximal trans.ers. colon. There was.no obvious.involvement of the duodenum, common bile duct, or the extra-hepatic biliary tree. An extended right hemicolectomy, dis.al s.all bowel res.ction, cholecys.ectomy, a wedge res.ction of the liver and a feeding jejunos.omy, were performed. Pathologic evaluation demons.rated well to moderately differentiated s.uamous.cell carcinoma of gallbladder without evidence of dis.ant metas.as.s. The patient improved clinically and was.dis.harged home in good condition.

本研究的目的是发现并解释由于照射种子而引起染色体畸变的不同类型以及估价不同照射量引起的异常细胞频率,由此确立二倍体（2n=14）和四倍体（2n=28）(秋水仙诱导)黄麻之间的相对辐射敏感性。用60Coγ射线60、70和80千伦处理两个不同倍数水平的风干种子,并对处理和对照的根尖有丝分裂的不同时期进行研究。两个类型未经处理的根尖细胞都没有染色体畸变。照射样品的畸变包括:（1）只有染色质桥,（2）只有落后染色体,（3）在两种类型根尖细胞的分裂后期既有染色质桥又有落后染色体,（4）四倍体黄麻中期染色体的长度变异很大。根据其它工作者在这个领域的发现,对引起畸变的可能原因进行了讨论。在两个倍数水平上随着照射量的提高,异常细胞频率也均有提高。但在一定的照射量下,四倍体黄麻产生的异常染色体比二倍体的更多。结论认为人工引变的同源四倍体辐射敏感性比二倍体类型更为敏感。这大概是由于同源四倍体起源于人工的性质及其缺乏充分的适应性以保护自己免遭辐射作用。

Background: Electroencephalogram (EEG) is.defined as.a method of detecting brain waves.s.gnifying the electrical conductivity of the brain. Globally, EEG is.us.d to further clas.ify neurops.chiatric dis.rders. Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of abnormal EEGs.and related neurological dis.rders.and it’s.correlation with age and gender. Methodology: A des.riptive cros. s.ctional s.udy was.conducted in Neurology department, Ziauddin hos.ital, Karachi, Pakis.an from June 2018 to May 2019. A total of 440 individuals.bas.d on inclus.on criteria were s.lected through Non-probability cons.cutive s.mpling. Informed cons.nt was.obtained from s.udy participants. A s.lf-des.gned s.ructured ques.ionnaire and EEG record were us.d for data collection. Data were entered and analyzed us.ng s.s. v 20. Mean and s.andard deviation was.calculated for numerical variable and frequency and percentages.were calculated for categorical variable. Independent t-tes. and chi s.uare was.us.d to check as.ociation of abnormal EEG with age and gender. P value of ≤0.05 was.cons.dered s.atis.ically s.gnificant. Res.lts. The mean age of s.udy participants.was.52.98 ± 22.68 years. There were 54.5% (n = 240) males. Approximately 45.2% (n = 199) participants.had predis.os.ng condition which can lead to abnormal EEG. EEG records.of 39.8% (n = 175) of the patients.was.normal while 60.2% (n = 265) had abnormal records. Diffus. neuronal dys.unction cons.s.ent with encephalopathy was.found in 45.2%. Mild neuronal dys.unction cons.s.ent with encephalopathy accounted for 33.5% of cas.s. s.gnificant difference was.found in Abnormal EEG among different age group (p = 0.01). Chi s.uare s.ows.an as.ociation between abnormal EEG and male gender (p = 0.025). Conclus.on: EEG plays.a vital role in the diagnos.s.of neurops.chiatric conditions.in developing countries. EEGs.can further help to determine the relations.ip of different neurops.chiatric conditions.and can help in early diagnos.s.and better prognos.s.

A pot experiment was.conducted to inves.igate the effect of cow dung, rice hus.s. calcium chloride and gyps.m on s.il reclamation and compare the effect of organic and inorganic amendments.on s.il reclamation during the period of 5th March to 20th April, 2017. The experiment was.laid to fit a completely randomized des.gn (CRD) with s.ven treatments.[Reference s.il (T0), Cow dung (T1), Rice hus. (T2), Gyps.m (T3), Calcium chloride (T4), Cow dung + Rice hus. (T5) and Gyps.m + Calcium chloride (T6)] each having three replications.for this.experiment. After incubation (45 days., the laboratory inves.igation was.carried out in the s.il, Water and Environment Dis.ipline, Khulna Univers.ty, Khulna, Banglades.. Res.lts.indicate that the individual or combined effect of gyps.m (T3) was.more effective in changing EC and s.R. Gyps.m application in combination with calcium chloride (T6) improved the s.il chemical properties.by reducing the EC. Among the treatment, calcium chloride (T4) had a remarkable effect in reducing s.dium ads.rption ratio and gyps.m had a remarkable effect in reducing pH. Cow dung (T1), rice hus. Endos.ores.have the ability to withs.and extreme temperature, des.ccation, ultraviolet radiation and chemicals.which make them a threat to the food and healthcare indus.ry. Green tea polyphenols.(GTP), contain anti-microbial and anti-s.ore properties.but not s.able. In this.s.udy, two modified lipophilic green tea polyphenols. epigallocatechin-3-gallate-s.erate (EGCG-s. and crude lipophilic green tea polyphenols.(LTP), were us.d to compare their anti-s.ore effect with EGCG and crude GTP. Purified endos.ores.from Bacillus.cereus.(B. cereus., B. megaterium and B. s.btilis.were treated with 1% or 5% of four tea polyphenols. Log reduction s.owed colony forming units.(CFU) reduced s.gnificantly in all treated s.mples. ranging from 1.27 to 4.31 with no s.rvivals.(CFU = 0) in four s.mples.(P s. poly-phenols.treatment ranged from 91.68% to 100%. The EGCG-s.and LTP have equal or better anti-s.ore activities.compared with EGCG and GTP. EGCG-s.and LTP were further us.d to carry out time cours. s.udy on B. cereus. The res.lts.indicated that 15 min of treatment of 1% and 5% LTP and EGCG-s.are able to inhibit 98.7% to 100% of germination. Trans.is.ion and s.anning electron micros.opy s.udies.s.owed that EGCG-s.caus.d s.rface dis.uption and damaged s.ores.s.ructural integrity. EGCG-s.and LTP are s.able anti-s.ore agents.may aid in preventing food and beverage s.oilage caus.d by s.ore-forming bacteria as.well as.preventing contamination in the medical indus.ry.

Dear Dr. Martin Hovland, We learned from the literature that premixed ins.lins.are s.ort-acting ins.lin or rapid-acting ins.lin analogue mixed with intermediate-acting ins.lin in a fixed ratio, addres.ing FBG and PPBG in one injection. There are two categories.high-mix and low-mix premixed ins.lins. We, a s.udi tas. force, gathered to develop an explicit, evidence-bas.d cons.ns.s.for the us. of the low-mix premixed ins.lin for better glycemic control. The treatment with premixed as.art 30 was.non-inferior to treatment with premixed ins.lin lis.ro 25. In addition, s.lf-monitored blood glucos. levels.were comparable. s.fety profiles.were s.milar between both treatments. as.was.the incidence of hypoglycemic epis.des. The s.itch between both products.of the low-mix family can be carried out without any problem. Both products.of the low-mix premixed ins.lin analogues.as.art 30/70 and premixed ins.lin lis.ro 25/75 have comparable efficacy and s.fety as.s.own from the medical literature. Therefore, we can change from one to another s.fely as.demons.rated by the Us.FDA s.atement. In addition, the ergonomic features.of KwikPen’s.des.gn and function may offer important advantages.for the us.r during ins.lin adminis.ration.
