Synthesis of powdered silver nanoparticles using hydrogen in aqueous medium

Environmentally benign one-pot protocol is used in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles （AgNps） in powder form, involving the reduction of silver nitrate in the presence of fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol （pVA） as stabilizer by hydrogen （H2） as reducing agent in aqueous medium. Fully hydrolyzed biodegradable pVA has extremely low cytotoxicity, making it a favorable stabilizer from green perspective. In the present methodology, essentially naked silver nanoparticles are obtained in good yield. The prepared sil- ver nanoparticles were characterized by TEM, XRD, EDAX, UV-Vis spectroscopy and DLS histogram, and studied for its activity as a recyclable catalyst for synthesis of different enaminones.

A rapid, one-pot and highly efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmaceutically interesting functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives has been developed using commercially available Cs F as a catalyst in the reaction of malononitrile and aryl aldehydes or isatins with 1,3-cyclohexanediones. The major advantages of this methodology are excellent yield at ambient temperature, very short reaction time（5–10 min）, and use of an inexpensive catalyst.

Although otitis media poses a serious health risk in developing countries,being a frequent occurrence in children below five years of age,parental awareness and practices about otitis media have not been adequately *** cross-sectional study was undertaken in Navi Mumbai schools,from October 2019 to December 2019,wherein parents with childrenpractices about otitis media in their ***-square tests,Cramer’s V were used to study association between gender,age-group and education of parents with their knowledge,practice and attitude about otitis *** of 425 valid responses,overall most parents displayed adequate knowledge(77%),positive attitude(61%)and good care-seeking practices(70%).There was a positive correlation of knowledge and practice with level of *** study shows acceptable levels of knowledge,attitude and practices in parents about otitis *** who did not seek treatment from health centre attributed the behaviour to poverty,ignorance and lack of health *** positive correlation of knowledge and practices with level of education highlights the importance of role of education in modifying parental awareness and care seeking *** findings call for a need to further strengthen community-based healthcare and improve parental confidence in healthcare services for early detection and adequate treatment of otitis media.

BACKGROUND Itraconazole is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal inhibiting fungal growth by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis and exhibits a nonlinear pharmacokinetic *** absorption pattern with wide fluctuations in blood levels causes inconsistent and unpredictable clinical behaviour of this drug despite its low minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)as compared to other antifungal *** To compare the oral bioavailability and bioequivalence of Fixtral SB(supra bioavailable itraconazole)with reference product R2(supra bioavailable 2×50 mg itraconazole).METHODS The study population consisted of 54 healthy volunteers,aged between 18-45 years and randomized to receive a single oral dose of either test[T;Fixtral SB(supra bioavailable itraconazole)100 mg]or reference product(R1;Sporanox 100 mg×2 capsules and R2;Lozanoc capsules 50 mg×2 capsules).Blood samples were taken pre-dose and post-dose up to 96 *** study evaluated bioequivalence by comparing the oral bioavailability of the test product with reference product *** pharmacodynamic characteristics of the drug were evaluated by comparing the test product with reference product ***(pK)-pD comparative analysis[area under the concentration-time curve(AUC)/minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)>25]was performed for conventional itraconazole 100 mg and supra bioavailable itraconazole 50 *** events(AEs)assessments were performed in each study period and post-study *** Statistical analysis of primary pK variables revealed bioequivalence,with confidence intervals being completely inside the acceptance criteria of 80%-125%.The peak concentration levels of itraconazole were achieved at 10 h(T)and 8.5 h(R2),*** parameter assessment showed that AUC/MIC for R1 are comparable to Fixtral SB 100mg for MIC levels up to 16mcg/mL(p>0.05 and observed p=0.3196).Six AEs were observed that were mild to moderate in severity and *** severe AE was reported.

Importance: This post-marketing surveillance study was conducted to evaluate real-world information about the efficacy and safety of oral Tinefconp>?p> tablets (Sphaeranthus indicus based) in plaque psoriasis patients. Materials and Methods: patients aged at least 18 years and older with clinical diagnosis of plaque psoriasis, were enrolled in this open label, non-comparative, multicenter trial. All eligible subjects received four 700 mg Tinefconp>?p> tablets/day for 12 weeks. The primary outcome measure was percent change in psoriasis Area Severity Index (pASI) score from baseline to week 12. The secondary outcome measures were physician Global Assessment (pGA), Nail psoriasis Severity Index (NApSI), psoriatic Arthritis Evaluation and Gene Expression profiling and Immunohistochemistry. Results: After completion of Tinefconp>?p> treatment at 12 weeks, more than half of subjects (52%) achieved pASI 50 response;pASI 75 response was attained in 68 (23%) subjects and pASI 90 response in 22 (7%) subjects. Five subjects with severe psoriasis achieved pASI 90 without receiving any concomitant medication. Reduction in severity as assessed by pGA was observed in more than half of patients with moderate disease. Histopathological evaluation revealed that epidermal thickness was considerably reduced in 66% of subjects. The expression of inflammatory marker S100A9 protein was(meaningfully reduced in 60% patients with non-significant reduction of Keratin 10 protein expression. Gene expression analysis showed increase down regulation of SERpINB4;pI3 and KRT16 genes after a 12-week treatment period in subjects with higher pASI scores. Conclusion: Oral Tinefconp>?p> tablets showed good efficacy and had a favorable safety profile in plaque psoriasis patients.
