South China is the most important polymetallic （tungsten, tin, bismuth, copper, silver, antimony, mercury, rare metals, heavy rare earth elements, gold and lead-zinc） province in China. This paper describes the basic characteristics of Mesozoic large-scale mineralization in South China. The large-scale mineralization mainly took place in three intervals： 170-150 Ma, 140-126 Ma and 110-80 Ma. Among these the first stage is mainly marked by copper, lead-zinc and tungsten mineralization and the third stage is mainly characterized by tin, gold, silver and uranium mineralization. The stage of 140-126 Ma mainly characterized by tungsten and tin mineralization is a transitional interval from the first to the third stage. In fight of the current research results of the regional tectonic evolution it is proposed that the large-scale mineralization in the three stages is related to post-collision between the South China block and the North China block, transfer of the principal stress-field of tectonic regimes from N-S to E-W direction, and multiple back-arc lithospheric extensions caused by subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate.

The Haoyaoerhudong gold deposit,located in the northwestern part of the North China craton(NCC),has produced over 120 metric tonnes(t)of gold since *** has a total reserve of>240 t at average gold grade of 0.62 g/t,making it one of the largest open pit gold mines in *** steeply dipping,large-tonnage,low-grade,vein-or veinlet-type gold orebodies are hosted in strongly-deformed Mesoproterozoic carbonaceous schist of the Bayan Obo *** laminated/boudinaged veins/veinlets in the sinistral ductile-brittle shear zones are dominated by quartz,biotite,gold-bearing löllingite,pyr-rhotite,(arseno)pyrite,with minor native gold,titanite and *** this paper,we present new in situ U-Pb geochronological data on magmatic zircon from the preore dikes,on metamorphic and hydrothermal xenotime,and on hydrothermal titanite from the hydrothermally altered carbonaceous schist and auriferous quartzsulfides veins/veinlets,as well as He-Ar isotopic analysis on gold-bearing(arseno)pyrite in the syn-ore *** metamorphic xenotime U-Pb age of 426±6.0 Ma(2σ)records a regional metamorphic event,possibly related to the accretion of the Bainaimiao arc onto the *** pre-ore andesitic dikes yielded similar emplacement ages at~278 Ma constrained by laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS)U-Pb zircon *** xenotime grains from the altered carbonaceous schist and auriferous quartz-sulfides veins yielded U-Pb ages of 256.0±4.1 Ma(2σ)and 254.4±2.1 Ma(2σ),respectively,overlapping with that of the hydrothermal titanite at 255.4±0.8 Ma(2σ)from the laminated quartz-sulfides *** indicates that the gold mineralization occurred at ca.255 ***~255 Ma gold mineralization age is much younger than the previously reported Early-Middle Permian regional magmatic activity(ca.291 Ma to 268 Ma),and may be associated with the regional sinistral strike-slip event in the late orogenic cycle related to the collision between the Siberian craton

Genesis of the Changba–Lijiagou Giant Pb-Zn Deposit, West Qinling, Central China: Constraints from S-Pb-C-O isotopes

The extensive Changba-Lijiagou Pb-Zn deposit is located in the north of the Xihe–Chengxian ore cluster in West Qinling. The ore bodies are mainly hosted in the marble, dolomitic marble and biotite-calcite-quartz schist of the Middle Devonian Anjiacha Formation, and are structurally controlled by the fault and anticline. The ore-forming process can be divided into three main stages, based on field geological features and mineral assemblages. The mineral assemblages of hydrothermal stage I are pale-yellow coarse grain, low Fe sphalerite, pyrite with pits, barite and biotite. The mineral assemblages of hydrothermal stage II are black-brown cryptocrystalline, high Fe shalerite, pyrite without pits, marcasite or arsenopyrite replace the pyrite with pits, K-feldspar. The features of hydrothermal stage III are calcite-quartz-sulfide vein cutting the laminated, banded ore body. Forty-two sulfur isotope analyses, twenty-five lead isotope analyses and nineteen carbon and oxygen isotope analyses were determined on sphalerite, pyrite, galena and calcite. The δ34 S values of stage I(20.3 to 29.0‰) are consistent with the δ34 S of sulfate(barite) in the stratum. Combined with geological feature, inclusion characteristics and EPMA data, we propose that TSR has played a key role in the formation of the sulfides in stage I. The δ34 S values of stage II sphalerite and pyrite(15.1 to 23.0‰) are between sulfides in the host rock, magmatic sulfur and the sulfate(barite) in the stratum. This result suggests that multiple S reservoirs were the sources for S2-in stage II. The δ34 S values of stage III(13.1 to 22‰) combined with the structure of the geological and mineral features suggest a magmatic hydrothermal origin of the mineralization. The lead isotope compositions of the sulfides have 206 Pb/204 Pb ranging from 17.9480 to 17.9782, 207 Pb/204 Pb ranging from 15.611 to 15.622, and 208 Pb/204 Pb ranging from 38.1368 to 38.1691 in the three ore-forming stages. Fabrication and biological evaluation of 3D-printed calcium phosphate ceramic scaffolds with distinct macroporous geometries through digital light processing technology

Digital light processing(DLP)-based 3D printing technique holds promise in fabricating scaffolds with high *** raw calcium phosphate(CaP)powders were modified by 5.5%monoalcohol ethoxylate phosphate(MAEP)to ensure high solid loading and low *** rheological tests found that photocurable slurries composed of 50wt%modified CaP powders and 2wt%toners were suitable for DLP *** on geometric models designed by computer-aided design(CAD)system,three printed CaP ceramics with distinct macroporous structures were prepared,including simple cube,octet-truss and inverse face-centered cube(fcc),which presented the similar phase composition and microstructure,but the different macropore *** fcc group showed the highest porosity and compressive *** in vitro and in vivo biological evaluations were performed to compare the bioactivity of three printed CaP ceramics,and the traditional foamed ceramic was used as *** suggested that all CaP ceramics exhibited good biocompatibility,as evidence by an even bone-like apatite layer formation on the surface,and the good cell proliferation and spreading.A mouse intramuscular implantation model found that all of CaP ceramics could induce ectopic bone formation,and foam group had the strongest osteoinduction,followed by inverse fcc,while cube and octet-truss had the weakest *** indicated that macropore geometry was of great importance to affect the osteoinductivity of scaffolds,and spherical,concave macropores facilitated *** findings provide a strategy to design and fabricate high-performance orthopedic grafts with proper pore geometry and desired biological performance via DLP-based 3D printing technique.

The custom-tailored medicine requires a developmental strategy that integrates excellent osteogene-sis with mechanical stability to enhance the reconstruction of the critical-size bone defect(CSBD)and the healing process in weight-bearing *** prepared three-dimensional(3D)printed biphasic cal-cium phosphate(BCP)scaffolds composited with nano-graphene oxide(GO).The biological effects of the GO/BCP composite scaffolds could induce the differentiation of rat bone marrow stem cells(BM-SCs)and the migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)for bone *** proper ratio of GO in the composite scaffold regulated the composites’surface roughness and hydrophilicity to a suitable range for the adhesion and proliferation of BMSCs and ***,the GO/BCP composite scaffold increased osteogenesis and angiogenesis by activating BMP-2,RUNX-2,Smad1/4,and *** customized intramedullary nail combined with GO/BCP scaffold was applied to repair CSBD(2.0 cm in length)in a beagle femur *** fixation strategy was confirmed by finite element *** vivo,the results indicated that the custom-made internal fixation provided sufficient stability in the early stage,ensuring bone healing in a considerable mechanical *** 9 months postoperatively,longitudi-nal bony union and blood vessels in osteon were observed in the CSBD area with partial degradation in the 0.3%GO/BCP *** the three-point bending test,the ultimate load of 0.3%GO/BCP group reached over 50%of the normal femur at 9 months after *** results showed a promising application of osteogenic GO/BCP scaffold and custom-made intramedullary nails in repairing CSBD of the beagle *** effective strategy could provide an option to treat the clinical CSBD in weight-bearing bones.
